"Thank you for your comments."
It was a tough ugly job on an old house and they completed it but is was a battle to get them to show up and to finish. It I had to keep emailing and calling and felt ignored, as I do now.
I had to withhold final payment for some mistakes that I caught by getting up on my roofs. Then I called them back for a leak, which they made me do all the carpentry and painting for, then they stopped responding to my newest problems though I am within warranty.
When they asked for final payment, I went up on my roof and saw they didn't flash the chimney that they were supposed to (bad leak) but flashed another chimney (they probably should have done both even if there was not visible leak damage). They fixed that and also a silver coat was put on with mulch and leaves stuck in the silver coat. I took pictures of this all while up on my roof. The owner agreed that was a sloppy job and had it redone. There were other things I caught, and probably things I don't know enough to catch. Anyway , I suggest checking their work closely before paying them the final payment.
I have things like exposed nail heads on my shingles that they did not bother putting caulk on. Holes and gaps that need to be fixed, etc. They wouldn't respond to any of my calls or emails to I hired a pro to clean up the mess and make it tight up there.
The mess-of-nails left all over the roof and ground is about cleaned up a year later. I don't know why they don't have that magnetic broom that my new roofer has that draws all the nails onto it.
I would hire Home Depot or Lowes if they did roofs like I needed. They would stand behind their product. They would return calls.
"Wow, I can sling mud all day long at this client too, if I was so inclined. We did a fantastic job on what we were contracted to do. We did the job according to the schedule we layed out in the beginning - she just didn't like the schedule. In the end we had to stop going back to fix things that were not a part of our contract."

"It's a shame you made such assumptions about my company from a single contact. My records show we emailed your quote 2 days after your meeting with my estimator. I have a copy of the quote. For reasons unknown to me, neither you nor my estimator made any follow up contact after that email. I'm not going to make any assumptions as to why at this point. Paul"

"Although I could easily argue some of this report, clearly there was some miscommunication going on here. For that, I truly apologize. Thank you for the good rating, in spite of the issues we had."

"Well, I hate to argue with a "B" rating, but I think we handled this job very professionally! The shingle selection was made by her husband, there was no need to look any further after he made the selection on the roof with us. Yes we did re-flash the wrong vent collar. We were supposed to do 2 of them, there were 3 on the roof. The service tech did two and realized his mistake so he did the third for free. And we did call ahead. We scheduled the job a week in advance and called to let her know. We then called the day before we were scheduled to remind her."
