We really liked that the same crew loads and unloads you. You get familiar with them and they were great. Everything arrived in perfect order and there were no issues at all. We would recommend them to anyone.

I have moved many times - from across town to across the country - and South Hills Movers was BY FAR the best moving company I have ever worked with, throughout the entire process, from estimate to follow-up. 
I had three different companies come to give me quotes, and South Hills Movers was the only company that actually used an iPad program to estimate every room of my move, rather than the "back of the napkin" estimates provided by the other two companies.  One of the companies was slightly higher than South Hills, but the other was extremely low, and I could tell that they didn't know what they were doing. 
The professionalism from the very start made me feel much more comfortable in this rather complicated (two locations and two dates to one location) move.  Originally, I thought I would be able to do the whole move together with just a charge for an extra stop, but issues with picking up downtown from my office made me have to reschedule the office part of my move - and South Hills was fantastic! 
The crew was extremely careful with my furniture, and took the time to explain what they were doing and why - it is obvious that they are true professionals who do their work with great care for the customer.
I would highly recommend South Hills Movers to my friends and neighbors that would ever need moving services in the future, and I strongly believe that they provided a great value (and peace of mind!) for my stressful move!

I had everything packed and in my garage ready to go when they picked up on April 1st. When they finally brought my furniture they showed up 3 hours late and just dropped off and did not unpack anything. I had to unpack and assemble an entire bed room. They where to much in a hurry to leave instead of helping the client unpack. Calls to the Vice President of the company Gary Lee had to be  made to find out where there truck and employees where.

Overall, everything from packing, moving, unloading was terrific.  same comments as above.

The experience was pretty much flawless. They showed up when they were supposed to and the movers were nice.  They didn't break anything.  The estimate that was given was fair and I'm about to use them for a third time.

We had South Hills Movers move our furniture and books from a two bedroom, third-floor walk-up apartment to a 3 bedroom house. From scheduling the estimate to the end of the actual move, the process was smooth and as pleasant as moving can be. When I contacted the company looking for an estimate, I received a call back in a timely fashion and was able to schedule an estimate for the next day. Tammy provided the estimate, and she was very pleasant and professional, explaining everything on the estimate in detail. Setting up the move was easy. On the actual day of the move, the movers arrived on schedule and managed to get everything out of our apartment amazingly quickly. They were very careful with our things, wrapping everything thoroughly, and one of the movers was even able to give us some information about one of our pieces of furniture that apparently is a collectible item (we had no idea). At
the new house, they were very careful not to damage anything or to track unnecessary dirt inside--I was actually amazed at how clean everything was after they left. The 4 movers were able to accomplish the move within the estimated time-frame (another moving company had told me I'd need 5 movers and more time), and they were very professional, affable, and respectful. The price was a bit higher than I would have liked; however, South Hills quoted me a lesser amount of money than the other company from which I received an estimate, and the actual cost of the move was ultimately even a bit lower than the estimate. All in all, I would say that it was definitely worth the money to get service and expertise like that. I'm hoping that we will not be moving again for a very long time, but when we do I'll be contacting South Hills again; in the meantime, I'm recommending them to everyone I know.

We needed to do a local move (< 30 mi.), so I contacted South Hills Movers on 15 Feb for an estimate.  Ron Martin showed up exactly at the agreed upon time the following Monday morning (18 Feb) to take a walk through the house and had an estimate of $1,067.97 for me later that day.
While South Hills Movers' estimate was a bit higher than some of the other companies I'd called, South Hill Movers' overall professionalism and commitment to quality really won me over.  The fact that they do background / drug screenings on all employees and that their employees only work for SHM instead of transiently was also a big plus.
As a result, I called back on 20 Feb and scheduled our move for the following Monday, 25 Feb.  Bonnie in the SHM office was a big help and being able to do all the paperwork via e-mail was an immense time saver.
Joe, Carl & Robert showed up only about 10 minutes late on the morning of the 25th and got to work right away.  Joe mentioned that they work fast and wasn't kidding.  They had originally scheduled 5 hours for the move, but thanks to their hard work it only took about 3 1/2 hours from start to finish and the final cost came in $300 under the original estimate.  
The only thing that could've made me happier was if SHM came in and put everything in boxes for us.  Moving sucks, period, but South Hills Movers made it a much nicer process for us.  If you're in the Pittsburgh area and need a mover, I HIGHLY recommend them!

The move was handled with 3 persons and was done very professionally. The movers were careful while moving the things ? no scratch or damage. The move was completed  ahead of estimated  time. They are good

I called South Hills Movers on a Monday, they sent someone to give me an estimate on Tuesday, and were able to move me the following Monday.  I realize this was possible because it was January and would not expect the same availability in the summer but I was thrilled because I needed to move quickly.  The three ment that were assigned my move were completely professional and tood great care with my belongings as well as both houses.Once they started working, they never stopped or even slowed down until the move was completed.

They came out when they said would. They did well with my antique pieces.

I interviewed three moving companies.  South Hill was the most professional. Their estimator came equipped with a laptop where she registered everything that was to be moved.  Had a printout ready for me when the estimating was over.
On moving day, the truck arrived right on time.  No problems loading the truck.
Despite being delayed 12 hours by a snowstorm in West Virginia, the moving truck arrived three days early. They called me to tell me they'd be early (which I appreciated).  This enabled me to be there when they arrived.   No problems unloading the truck.  Furniture in good shape.
The actual bill ($1974) came in $1400 less than their estimate.  A very pleasant surprise!
I'd recommend these guys to anyone.

It was good service. It was a bit pricey, but good.

Appointment with sales representative for quote made quite easily by one phone call to Customer Service, who are friendly.
Sales Representative came on time and explained about the estimate in detail and it was reasonable. 
Moving crew came on time and these three men were polite and their work was efficient. They came 8:30 am and started to load in and finished moving everything in to new location by 11:30 am, which was shorter than estimated time. Nothing was broken and they placed card board underneath the furniture to avoid dirt on furniture.
We were able to save few hundred dollars than other company's quote and we were so happy with this move.

I moved to NC after 70 years in PA..  This was my first move ever and South Hills Movers made it very easy for me.  The office staff,  Tammy and Kelly, were very knowledgeable and returned phone calls promptly.  I can't say enough about the movers, Curt and Mark.  They were very helpful, considerate and careful  of my belongings.

Very smoothly.

The guys arrived, packed up our large manufacturing equipment, relocated it across town and seemed to have a ball during the entire process.  They were fun, friendly and did a great job moving our equipment.  Nothing was damaged in transit..in fact, great care was taken to ensure our equipment was safe and sound.

Estimator showed up, was quick, professional, and accurate. No extra charges. Moving day went well - nothing was damaged and they even finished two hours earlier than estimated.

My wife and I packed the house items. South Hills Movers packed paintings and wrapped furniture. They arrived on time, worked fast and professionally, loaded the truck and unloaded it at the storage facility. A very good experience. I actually forget how much I paid, but I did think it was a little high. But, over all it was well worth it.

They are the only moving company that I could recommend.  They have exceptional service.  They are a little pricier, but you get what you pay for.  They are absolutely wonderful.

i was amazed at how fast, efficient and high quality the move was.  I have used other movers before, but these guys were the cream of the crop.  I definitely recommend them.

Everything went very well.  We used to live on a hill and the larger truck couldn't get to the house, so they loaded it onto a smaller van and then transported onto the large moving truck and they treated all my belongings with great care.  Nothing was broken and everything was accounted for.  They were very thorough and great to work with. I got quotes from two other moving companies and their pricing was very fair and I would highly recommend them!
