Arrived on time. Did a thorough inspection, gave me a detailed summary and was very professional.

I have been using Pawlak for years to service my electric heat pump and have been completely satisfied with every experience. They are a great company -- nice staff, efficient, professional. Come right when you need them if there's an issue to solve. If anyone is in need of a heating / cooling company, I highly recommend Pawlak's One Hour Heating.

Marty took on a tough job and did it extremely well!! We have a Quietside Instantaneous Water Heater that went on the fritz. The error code was one that required a service professional. Our original installer does not service the equipment, and neither does a half dozen other local providers that sell the unit on a regular basis! And to make matters worse, the manufacturer was absolutely NO help in finding someone here locally to service the unit either. They honestly could not tell me who could fix my water heater! A friend recommended Pawlak's One Hour to me. I placed the call and explained the problem to a pleasant woman who answered the phone. Within 90 minutes I had a call from Marty and he was at my house the next morning. (At this point I was already without hot water for three days.) Even though Marty was trained to work on a different brand of instantaneous water heater (IWH), he agreed to troubleshoot my Quietside. He worked diligently to find the problem and we ordered parts. It was a Saturday morning when Marty returned to install the parts. He did everything according to the service guide and the unit still was kicking out the same error code. Unfortunately the replacement part was bad and we had to wait until Monday to get another. As soon as the part was received, Marty returned and made the repair again, this time with success! I admire Marty's willingness to take on a challenge and sink his teeth into it! He really took the time to learn everything necessary and get the job done for me as quickly as possible. Marty is a gentleman and a true service professional who could write the book on taking care of customers!!

The work was completed in two days as was discussed at the original meeting and they did clean up after themselves each day. However after about a week after the installation, we noticed a leak with the connection to the cold water pipe and the humidifier. We contacted Pawlak's the night before and even though it was Good Friday, Marty came over later in the afternoon to attempt to fix the leak - it worked for a little while but it started leaking again the next morning. They promptly called and arrived Monday morning to fix the leak - permanently.

The workmen were punctual, actually a little early. The job took them two days, which is just what we were told it would take, and they worked steadily each day. Marty, the owner, stopped by toward the end of the second day to see how the job was progressing and to see if we had any questions. I graded the price a B because we really didn't have anything with which to compare. After talking with some other people we know who have done similar work recently, it seems the price was sort of in the middle. Marty said he only had limited units available at the price he quoted so we took it. We cancelled the other estimate we had scheduled. My only problem with the workmen is that they moved some furniture in my basement on their own, basically just pushing it aside, which came close to damaging a DVD player that was near the furniture.(Thus a B for quality) This was after I had asked if they needed more room and offered to move things myself, which I would have preferred.

The overall experience was excellent because of Marty's professionalism and concern with doing a quality job. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

I spent between $13000 and $15000 or maybe more. I thought that he was good and responsive. I was satisfied with the work he did. I felt like some of the work being done by the other guy wasn?t as good. I felt that some of his employees were creepy. He would say that he would have something in by tomorrow, but it wouldn?t and these were circumstances beyond his control, but I just did not think that he was all that responsive.

We purchased ventless gas logs as an alternative to burning wood in our fireplace because of draft problems created by the fireplace's original design in 1932. Every time we burned a fire upstairs, the basement filled with the smell of smoke. The literature that came with the gas logs suggested using a plumber to install the logs for safety reasons. I knew the stand pipe was loose, so we hopped on Angie's List and found Pawlak (less than a mile from our house). Getting an install date was easy and they arrived on time. They sent two employees and were done with the both projects within 1.5 hours. The employees were courteous and cleaned up right away. Given how cold and snowy the winter was, we were blessed to have a properly functioning furnace and a new set of logs. I would certainly recommend Pawlak and will use them again.

I like them because they were quick to respond. They were punctual. They will come out next week to do the work.

They came here at 9 in the morning and did the work very quickly. We never had a problem with them and the people are very nice. They replaced the heater then. They finished the work in just one hour. They are very quick and efficient.

I contacted Pawlak after receiving a letter from the company, offering to install a new furnace at no charge, if I ordered a new AC unit and furnace. I had been thinking that my existing furnace (over 30 years old, maybe more) needed to be replaced. Martin Pawlak spent two hours describing the options, the efficiency standards of three respective products and the costs. I believe the furnace and air conditioner that was installed meet my needs and usage pattern, and will reduce utility bills. Mr Pawlak never pressed me to get something more expensive than what I needed. He exudes extreme honesty and trustworthiness. His workers finished in two days. Mr. Pawlak returned to examine their work thoroughly and paid attention to small details to remedy. He explained the workings of the equipment well and what I needed to do maintenance.

I felt that they were quick, on time, and provided good service. They were honest.

When I called them, they were more into it than another company that I called. They also wanted to meet with me to explain the bid and he was wonderful. He was professional and thorough. When he was finished, he showed me the work he did and made sure I was satisfied. He really met my expectations. The work was real good and they are a company that enjoys what they do.

I bought a new house that had a top of the line and recently installed Wallman furnace. When I initially had a problem I had them fix it. Even though they did not install it. A month later the furnace was not working and I called them back out. They came out promptly. They diagnosed that two pumps needed to be replaced, and gave an estimate of about $1000. One pump was under warranty. They also informed me that the people who installed in put in the 1/8 hours pump. When they should have put in a 1/4 horse pump. They were correct with there assessment. I did not have them do the work because I thought the people who installed it should take responsibility and make the repair.

It went swimmingly---(but thankfully, not literally! Surprisingly little water ended up on the floor anywhere!). Martin returned my service call request within about 15 minutes and we scheduled a time on a Friday afternoon that worked for me. He called before heading over and then, when he arrived, he took apart the pump (which had been making alarming noises---that turned out to be it's swan song) and showed me that the seal had begun to leak and replacing only the coupling would not solve the problem. Then he explained what would be involved in replacing the pump and showed me how much it would cost (using his "straight forward pricing" system). Then he did the repairs and finished cleaning the rest of the furnace/boiler. It took about three hours and at one point one of his other technician employees came to help with draining and bleeding the radiators. Both were really nice, patiently explaining everything to my husband and me. And they left no mess behind)

Absolutely fine. No story to tell. It was a company recommended on Angie's List and met our high expectations.

Terry was the service person who checked my a/c. He was honest, nice, and did a good job. No repairs or freon were needed. I would recommend them again.

ARRIVED ON TIME, DID THE JOB QUICKLY AND THOROUGHLY AND DISCUSSED ALL ASPECTS WITH MY HUSBAND. THEY INSTALLED OUR FURNACE AND A/C A FEW YEARS AGO. WE HAVE BEEN HAPPY WITH IT.
