Pleased with finished product. However, workers were usually late (sometimes by several days) and forgot to install baseboard and molding until I drew this to their attention. As a result of Sherkness' delays (exacerbated by their blatantly false "updates" about where our project stood on their schedule), our overall kitchen remodeling project was thrown off schedule; for instance, I had to wait until the following week for the plumber to come back because in the meantime the plumber's schedule had filled up. Sherkness' workers and office staff vary in skill and professionalism. Joe Sherkness is knowledgeable and helpful, but after the contract is signed, the customer deals only with the workers. Josh Sherkness (son of the owner) seemed to be the best craftsman, in our opinion. We will not use them again--too frustrating.

My initial experience in the show room when talking to Joe the owner was good. I am very satisfied with the ultimate finished product. However I was very disappointed in a number of areas. First, only Joe knows whats going on at the comapany and getting in touch with him was a challenge. Several phone calls before and during the project were not returned. I was told several times that the project would begin and when I arrived home no work had been done. When I was told the work had been finished I arrived to see that some shoe molding was missing, an area in the closet that hardwood was to be installed was missied and some damage to newly painted and repaired drywall had occured. I ordered actual real hardwood but after the project had begun I was told real hardwood could not be installed becasue the location was a second floor condo and the subfloor was cement. I was switched to a glued down engineered hardwood. I thought the price should have then been lowered but it was not.
