I was initially quoted $700 for the original design. Over the time, I continually added new features to the design. He said there would be a higher price. I told him that was fine. About ten days past and I got in touch with him for an update. He told me it was finished, but the total had come up to $3000.00. He did not even contact me to get the okay to go that far with the expenditures. Even after the all this, there is still a defect with the frame. I asked for an itemized list for a pricing breakdown, I still have yet to receive that list. I left a message with them to see if the manufacturer will take the frame back for defect reasons. I am now waiting to hear from the framing provider to see if they would honor an expired warranty.

"This member did in fact change her design from the original which increased the price of her shadowbox. Each time the design was changed we communicated the changes would affect the total cost. We agree there was some miscommunication of the final price. This miscommunication was based on her inferred need to get the piece completed quickly for her son's birthday. Due to the miscommunication we agreed to a 50% discount from retail. She wanted an additional 35-40% off of the agreed upon discount to which we refused. Unfortunately we could not come to an agreement with this customer and had to dismantle the shadowbox and return her items."
