"[Member name removed] is referring to a job from 15 years ago in which he was advised to have his roof torn off and replaced and he opted to go with the cheaper version of an overlay. It was explained to him at the time that by not tearing off the existing roof you have no way of knowing if there is damaged wood. We have completed other work for him in the later part of 2013 which he appeared to be satisfied with and never made any reference to any problems with his roof. Turchi Construction would have been more than happy to address and try to resolve this issue if we were contacted and made aware of it. It's discouraging that a customer wouldn't simply pick up the phone and give me a call instead of using this forum."
"I absolutely returned [Member name removed] phone calls in a more than timely fashion. The work he is referring to was replacing a vent collar on the roof, cleaning out all the gutters and repairing a solar window. I quoted [Member name removed] a price of approximately $900.00, not $120,000.00 as he stated. [Member name removed] never called back with the ok to move forward with the contract. As far as sending contracts through the mail, this is still a standard practice that all my other customers don't have a problem with. We are always more than happy to email contracts, whichever the customer prefers. Also, no job is ever too small and unfortunately it appears there was a lack of communication between [Member name removed] and myself."
There are dozens of contractors out there, and we were very careful in our selection. Turchi construction came highly recommended from a friend so we were able to see their work beforehand and that helped sell us on using them as a contractor.
