Fixed for fraction of the cost of others, no service fee, and on time! My heater (19 y/o Arcoaire) was not switching on despite a strong signal from the thermostat and the rest of the unit having full power. I was getting a pressure switch malfunction error code, so I called 3 service companies to get estimates. The trashy Goodman guy came out and refused to service it and only offered to replace it $6,000 or Heat+AC for $10,800. Sila said they could fix it for $3,800, or replace Heat+AC for $9,500… THEN… SK showed up the next morning, on time, with plenty of advanced warning, and was clean and respectful. After only 15 min, he had diagnosed the problem and was able to replace the malfunctioning part for less than 10% of the cost (incl. part + labor) of replacing the unit. WHAT!?!? Heater fired up perfectly after being replaced and is working GREAT. DO NOT LET THE BIG COMPANIES HOSE YOU – call SK and get it fixed for a fraction of the cost!

SK Heating has been servicing my heater for the past at least 5 years and I'm going to have them come out next month to service it for this year. Very professional and always on time. Great choice.

Saki's negligence as a technician put me in harm's way while costing my landlord an unnecessary amount of money. Saki maintained the "HVAC" unit in my apartment. The unit was there when I moved in, but it was old, rickety, and cobbled together using random spare parts that somehow added up to an HVAC unit. One year ago, the heater entered lockout mode so often that I had to reset the HVAC upwards of 30 times per day to provide heat in the dead of winter. Saki came out multiple times at my landlord's expense and said there was nothing wrong -- it powered on and that was all he cared to check. When I pointed out that the HVAC was in lockout mode, he said there was nothing he could do and he left. Saki came back a week or so later after the same problem kept happening and he swore and cursed at me throughout the entire time he was "working" on the HVAC. I get it, he's frustrated, it's winter, it's cold, and he's making a repeat visit to what he thinks is a non-issue, but none of that warrants that kind of behavior in someone else's home. He treated me with a level of disrespect that is uncalled for in any situation. Fast forward one year of me putting up with a spotty HVAC and the same lockout situation happens again at the beginning of winter and again during the "polar vortex." My landlord calls Saki who says there's nothing he can do. My landlord then calls for two (not one, TWO) other techs to verify that there is a problem. Both techs said that the HVAC was too dangerous to even switch on. One of the techs performed a combustion test (something Saki never did) and found that there was so much carbon monoxide stuck in the flue that if it had ruptured (which was a ticking time bomb by the looks of it), it would release enough CO into my apartment to harm everyone inside. Someone else is replacing Saki's masterpiece with a smaller, more efficient unit that carries a lower risk of releasing deadly gas into my apartment. The other technician is also installing a panel to quickly access the gas shutoff valve, which is also something Saki never did. Saki's behavior should be disqualifying on its own and his repeat "nothing's wrong" visits cost my landlord an unnecessary amount of money. His inability to troubleshoot his own handiwork could have put me in serious danger. Call someone else.

He was great. He was on time, VERY professional. Used covers for his shoes which I really appreciated. My furnace had stopped working the night before and was able to get to my house first thing the next morning and had it fixed within 15 mins.

Great team and thoughtful customer service

We had trouble with two previous air conditioning contractors who misdiagnosed the issue with our heat pump. I wanted to work with someone else and Saki was recommended to us by neighbors on Next Door. Saki determined that one of the previous contractors had mis-wired a capacitor in our unit, and after some diagnosis, he determined that the control board in the unit was faulty. He is very responsive, professional, friendly and punctual. He's a one-man operation and does all work himself. It's very clear that he takes his work seriously and is invested in solving your problem. I highly recommend his services and will definitely contact him if we have issues in the future. My old heater stopped functioning properly during the coldest season. Saki was busy with other project, so I had to wait for few days for him to come to clean the heater. He was punctual. The job was done in 1.5 half hour and heater worked fine although the built in thermostat started showing too high pressure. Also after the cleaning, I got too much air in the system. Saki didn't bleed my radiators, so I had to call local plumber to do this job. Took a while, since there are many radiators in the house and he had to bleed them several times. A month later I ended up replacing the heater.

Everything went well. Services were performed as described. Would definitely use again.
