The furnace tune-up went well. He told me about a few issues that could have a detrimental effect on the heater and corrected them. The tune-up did not take long and before I knew he was finished. He tagged areas of the furnace so that if a problem presented itself, it would be easy to identify and locate certain areas for him.
We spoke some more about a few things. By then I felt that we had developed a nice rapport with each other. I like him. I will look to him for the servicing of my heater. I will gladly recommend him to my friends.
"Great customer! I was pleased with [name removed]'s willingness to be educated on how her boiler works. I found the Aqua stat was set around 220 allowing her boiler to boil the water inside her system. By having it set above 200 degrees your water will boil and eventually your system will not heat your home, because it's water not steam that heats your house. So by adjusting the Aqua stat and filling her system she can sleep at night knowing her system is working the way it's designed to do so. With her unit being installed in 1971 her systems has many many years left before it'll need to be replaced. It was a pleasure servicing the unit as well as meeting the homeowner."

I was talking about replacing my system and he was very adamant that as long as you continue to maintenance the heater that replacing it should be out of the question until it dies. I feel most tech would push you to replace since I am sure that is where they make most of the money. Highly recommended.

I was getting ready to leave for the shore and the night before my AC was not working. I was planning on leaving my cat at home while I was on vacation but when the AC stopped working I knew I couldn't leave her home in the heat! I was searching for various heating/cooling companies and I made a few phone calls. No one was able to come on such short notice and at night. I was asking friends for recommendations and someone told me to call SK heating and cooling. I called and spoke to Saki, he was a lifesaver! He was able to come over that very evening! I was so worried that I was going to have a huge bill but Saki took the time to look at my unit and it only ended up needing a cleaning. He was so helpful and took care of the problem. He was polite and kept his work area clean. I will definitely call SK heating and cooling again!

The following day they showed up on time. Their technician examined the AC unit, checked all electrical connections, cleaned the indoor and outdoor coils, checked the amperage on the motors, checked refrigerant levels, and replaced my filter all for just $54. What a great deal!
Their technician took their time explaining in layman terms exactly what was causing the unit to act up. Turns out it just needed to be cleaned and the filter had to be replaced. Turns out I didn't change the filter throughout the years......OOOOPS! Turns out a $54 check up saved several thousands. Thanks SK!
