Tim Musser installed a Radon remediation system in my home. The initial installation included a fan which was a "low profile" box fan which looked really nice because it blended in well against the outside of the house. Unfortuanately, this fan was noisy, with the noise penetrating through the wall to the bedroom, which both Tim & I found unacceptable. Tim changed out this fan with one of the same design, and though somewhat better, the noise in bedroom was still higher than I found acceptable. The radon levels with the second fan were below the guaranteed level of 4. Tim's approach was that he wanted me, the customer, to be satisfied. Tim sent his crew back and they installed a third fan, this one was their "standard" fan which has been used a long time for radon remediation. This fan still looks okay, is paintable which will help it to blend in against the house AND is very quiet. The noise in the bedroom is minimal, no louder than the air noise from my heating system. I am extremely satisfied with Tim Musser Radon Remediation Co., Inc. Tim went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. There was no hesitation that he would "make it right" at his own expense. I am pretty sure that with the extra costs incurred by Tim on this job, he completed the work at a net loss. However, he did what he had to do to ultimately provide a high quality job that met the customer's expectations. I would highly recommend Tim Musser Inc for this type of work.

I tested our home which is located in lower Macungie for radon because the area is known for its high radon levels. The test said our level was 4.2 and anywhere above 4 is considered high. Our builder had installed the piping for the radon but not the fan so basically the piping was doing nothing for the radon until we installed the fan. I had a radon specialist come out to do the estimate but he told me that he would have to install the fan in the attic right over our bedroom set and connect it to our smoke detector. That didn't sound right to me and I definitely didn't want to hear the fan going all night when I was trying to sleep. I found Tim by called Pratt White Real Estate and they gave me his name and number. I called for an estimate and got a date shortly after the call. Tim came very prepared. He toured the entire house, made a map of important areas and answered all of my questions. He assured me that he did not have to install the fan over our bedroom set. Instead he could install it in the attic area over the master bathroom. He sent the estimate quickly and in email form. The rate was fair. We booked him to do the job. On the day of the job, he came with a helper. Initially he said it would take five hours but it ended up taking about three hours. They were extremely friendly and professional explaining everything along the way. I purchased a follow up test with Tim and tested the home 2 days later. The level was reading as .5. I couldn't believe that the level went down so much so I purchased another test from home depot. I just got the results and it said my reading is .2. I was amazed that our levels could go from dangerous to practically non existent. I would definitely recommend Tim to do the job!

TA Musser promptly returned our call and gave us a verbal estimate on the phone. Their prices were competitive, and we made a appointment to have the service completed. They came out 3 days later and quickly changed our fan. Mr. Musser was knowledgeable, punctual and very pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend TA Musser for your radon remediation needs.
