Sobrinski - Professional Remodeling Services

There price was 30% more than another Angie's list A rated company, but I gave Sobrinski the job because I thought they worked for the job. They called me on a couple of occasions and took time to explain the benefits of using them. They were very accommodating to my time schedule. The employee that came to my house to do the job was very nice to deal with, and did a GREAT job.

When I called I did not get a machine, but a real, live person!  An appointment was made for a few days later, when Patrick Sobrinski came out to learn what work we wanted done. He emailed us an estimate the following day & the work was started the following week .  Unbelievably, all the work, which was a lot, was completed in two days!  All floors were covered with tarp, all furniture was covered in plastic, as were kitchen cabinets.  Plastic sheeting completely covered all walls, where only the ceilings were repaired & painted and we  only had to remove table lamps & some fragile items.  We did not have to remove wall pictures because the walls were protected by plastice sheeting! 
We couldn't have been more pleased with the work! The rooms were totally cleaned up afterwards, ceiling fans and light fixtures were not splattered with paint and and as our son pointd out, our kitchen and dining rooms don't look like the 1970's anymore!

In on time, done the same day, very happy with the service.

I had mold on the north side of my house. When I contacted Sobrinski they quoted me a price of $300 and I declined the service but congratulated them on their attitudes towards their employees, etc. Pat Sobrinski called me to thank me for my note. I told him that I had only one side of the house to be cleaned. We then renegotiated the price  and had a happy ending.

They are going to do some work for us in another couple of weeks. The last time we had them was last August. The visit went very good. They have excellent patience. The employees were good and they were all done in a week. I want to hire them again because of their professionalism and the job that they do. We are waiting for them to comeback and do some more work.

Thought it went well until the painter left the first day. This room was originally black. They estimated my job to take only 2 coats and didn't do any primer painting before applying the first coat of the color I chose. As a result the black paint bled through. Had to have them come back to apply another 2 coats. There are still 2 very noticeable spots that are still showing the black bleeding through. I'm decided not to call them back to do it again. I needed to start using the room and had already moved the furniture back thinking the 2 additional coats would do the job. I won't be using them again.

We are very pleased with the job and those who worked on the project. Greg and Larry were wonderful came early and very professional .They always cleaned up when finished for the day. The painters just finished up and great. The electricians also very nice and everyone involved on the project were all professional. The supervisor Eric came everyday to follow up . We are very pleased with our sun-room.

They gave me a fair estimate and started the job about  2-3 weeks later.  Someone came out to help me choose colors a week before the job began.  The painters were professional, courteous, and if I noticed any flaws or imperfections, they had no problem fixing it and were happy to do so.  All of my heavy furniture was moved by them which made things stress free for me - all I had to do was put away any knick knacks and breakables. I also took down my wall art and pictures. They cleaned up every day and completed 2,500 square feet of ceiling, wall, and woodwork painting in 8 days!  Amazing!  And they did a beautiful job!  I highly recommend this company.  Everyone was a pleasure to deal with.

They used subcontractors for some of the work. They worked very hard at being responsive and letting me know what was going on. They are coming back to fix a few things to our satisfaction. I was happy with them. I don't know if I got a good price. They told me what they would do for the price and they kept within that price. I got the Cadillac of carpeting. They were punctual anytime they said they were going to meet with me.

The experience was good. It was easy to get the quote from them; everything went as planned and they were very easy to work with. Their price was very reasonable and the staff was very professional.

On time on budget

It went very well from the initial call to the final installation.  When I called, I was on the phone for much longer than I expected (in a good way).  The person who answered the call described all of the options and pricing, including the pros and cons of each option.  We had a good conversation about what I needed.  They wanted to make sure that I was getting what I needed and I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need.  We scheduled an appointment on the phone.  The installer arrived on time and took his time to ensure that everything was working properly.  The invoice was for exactly the amount that we agreed upon on the phone -- absolutely no hidden charges.  I was excited to have a quieter, safer garage door opener and keypad access.  The technician told me to call the installation company if I had any problems.  I haven't had any problems.  However, based on this experience, I believe that if I had problems, they would have taken care of them.  Overall, it was a good experience.

The project manager contacted me the week before the work was to begin to let me know the  schedule.
They arrived each day when expected and the job was done exactly as promised and on schedule.
The area was cleaned every day and there was no problems.
I will be using them again.

The work done was a complete basement finishing. Sobrinski is a full service company being able to provide everything (carpentry, flooring, electrical and painting). The basement consisted of two rooms, 3 storage areas/closets, and an egress window. 
Sobrinski was one of three bidders on the project. They were prompt and thorough in coming and looking at the basement and providing me with an estimate and schedule. Sobrinski was very upfront and transparent when it came to the estimate. They told me right away that my egress window would have to be replaced to meet code. Other companies told me that it could be worked around, when in reality the original window would have not passed inspection with the basement upgrade. This was a major cost but it had to be done. They explained the scheduling of the work and when I could expect to see which stages of construction completed. 
Once construction began everything went very smoothly. The crew was very professional. The foreman, Carlos, would always come to the door first and introduce the crew so I would know who would be working in my house that day. Carlos would give a quick run down of what they planned on working on during the day and if i had any questions. I felt very comfortable that my home was safe in their hands even if no one was home to supervise. I was always able to go down and check on the progress myself talk to the guys. 
I made two change orders during the project. I was given a quote for the cost of the new work and giving the approval before the work was performed.
The only problem that did occur was right at start when they began to replace the egress window. They had to use a concrete saw to cut into the basement wall to made the opening larger. However, they did not have proper ventilation in the area and the concrete dust was kicked up into the house sucked through the HVAC system. Once they realized the mistake they shut down the saw immediately and Carlos came upstairs to talk about what had happen. The dust had gotten over everything in the house. Carlos immediately offered to make things right by having the whole house and HVAC system cleaned. He was able to have the HVAC clean the same day and the house the next. While I wasn't happy with error, I was happy with the way it was handled. 
Sobrinski completed the work on time and on-budget. Overall I had a great experience with them and would recommend them to anyone looking to get their basement finished or interior painted.

The project went very well overall, but did have to remind painters that the entrance door and garage door in the kitchen needed to be painted too.

it went well over all, they completed most of the work in the five days as promised, the painter ran short on time and I agredd to do their clean up, so they could continue to paint for the entire last day.
In the rush we had several voids in the paint, putty and spackeling, which was fine because we had a shortqage on materials and they had to come back to complete the project when those few missing items came in. 
about ten days later the guys showed up ready to clean up and mistake and or problem we flagged as an issue to us for whatever reason.  They completed these tasks in the one day and did not complain or give us any flack about anything we asked them to do or redo for us.
We gladly wrote the final check for a job well done.
We did flag some items as protentional problems down the road, this floor was a diiferent product manufacture then the one guys were used to using.  But if any issue do arise they promised and agredd to return and repair as needed.

it was a night mare.... the painters did a great job... quality work...and fixed/repaired all the floor mechanics damages to the walls sills and railing.

Extremely well.  Would definitely utilize this contractor again.  Very punctual and neat with all work done.  Nothing negative at all.

I asked for an estimate to remodel my basement. He was very professional & pleasant. I was provided an estimate via email in a few days as well as a mailed copy. I had to post pone the project but would definitely consider them if I decide to resume.

I did not care for how they did their estimate and they were pretty expensive. The guy was here for fifteen or twenty minutes for an expensive amount of work that needed to be done and their estimate was for several hundred dollars more than what I thought it would be. They gave me an estimate of twenty eight thousand dollar to do the roof, replace two doors and to remove some paper from the wall, but most other people were around twenty three thousand and less. They only took minimal measurements that the estimate was based off of and they were there for only twenty minutes for so much of work that needed to be done. I was not impressed with them. I will not use them again in the future.

The company was knowledgeable and had good ideas about our options to help us decide exactly what to do.  Their workmanship was excellent and they were friendly and helpful.  They came on time and did what they promised, cleaned up and left a great looking job.  Their quote was in mid range of other prices we had been quoted, and they did not haggle on price.  But we felt that their professional approach and knowledge was better than others we had talked to, so worth a few hundred bucks more. 
We had one small spot under an eave that developed some flaking, so in may not have been properly prepped.  We did not report this as it is not in a noticeable place and was some time after the work.  It is really a minor defect.  The rest of the the home looks great.  We would use them again for painting work.
