As first-time home buyers we were anxious to find a friendly, honest, and knowledgeable home inspector - someone who would provide us with a comprehensive report and answer all our questions. Chris Welborn from Domuspect exceeded our expectations. He was prompt, thorough, and super attentive to every aspect of our house. He came prepared to scale the roof (in the rain, no less), slither through the crawl space, and take pictures of each and every part of the house and yard. Chris let us know that we could trail him around and ask questions - any questions - and he would answer to the best of his ability. We took full advantage of this – we asked about everything, from the moss on the roof (how should it be cleaned?), to the HVAC system (how did that rust get there?) and the foundation (is "sistering" good for the long haul?). Chris took it all in stride, working and talking with ease. But that wasn't even the best part: his report was chock full of details, advice, and pictures with issues of concern circled; it will undoubtedly be our guide for getting our house ready to move into. It can be hard to know who to trust when you're taking on such a big risk, but we had a wonderful realtor who recommended Chris - he really does have the buyer's interests at heart.

Domuspect's inspection report as more than we could have hoped for. Mr. Wellborn obviously cares about his customers and what they will have to deal with if they buy the home he is inspecting for them. He comments on past maintenance and current status as well as gives tips for how to maintain the property and what should be done in the future to improve things. He also pulls no punches in detailing bad maintenance or situations that might cost his customers time, effort, headaches, and money in the future. I recommend him highly and would not hesitate to use him again.

The inspectir was extremely knowledgeable. He lives in Warrenton, OR which gave him personal insight into troublemakers unique to the area. Inspection was extremely thorough and the inspector not only allowed me to accompany him for all parts of the onspection, but provided a running dialogue of what he was finding and mitigating strategies. The report was very detailed outlining both trouble areas and items that are satisfactory. The report also provided general maintenance tips, some unique to the area, to prolong the life of the house.

We were very pleased with the quality and level of service Chris provided. His detailed report and photos thoroughly outlined the issues that need to be dealt with. This was a 100 year old house so there were many things to consider! He explained issues that we should consider relating to safety. He responded quickly to questions we had via email.
