Description of Work: A large lower branch from one of our oak trees cracked and fell into our pasture. Stephan came out, gave us an estimate for this work and to remove some oak branches over our chimney. His quote was very competitive. His crew arrived, on time, cut up the branch, stacked the wood, and cleaned up. He also pointed out a problem with another oak tree close to our house. He is coming back next week for this problem.

 + -1 moreStephan and his team were punctual, clear on the requirements, friendly and did exactly what they said they would. He asked me beforehand if I wanted him to chip and haul, to which I said absolutely, and they did, leaving virtually nothing behind. He worked with me to determine the appropriate height for the cypress "hedge" and the appropriate amount of trimming and thinning for the willow... Then, (and get this), he did EXACTLY what we had agreed upon!!! They even took steps to protect smaller plants and trees around the work area. (One picture shows a ladder protecting a lace-leaf maple under the Cypress hedge.) They had two saw failures and had to reschedule the remaining work but they set the date and time with me before they left that day and promptly returned when they said they would to finish the job. I'm very pleased and will not hesitate to hire them again.
Description of Work: Trimmed back overgrown curly/corkscrew willow tree and topped a row of 15 Leland cypress trees.

 + -1 moreThey do a great job. This is the second time I have hired them. Each time they come in with the lowest bid and do quality work. They even took out a couple of small nagging maple shoots & stumps free of charge. My only complaint is they dumped the chips onto a gravel parking slab next to where the trees were located. It cost me about an hour of time to move the pile off the gravel. Not a huge hassle. The nicest thing about these guys is they tell you which day they can be there to do the job and THEY ACTUALLY SHOW UP!!!
Description of Work: Removed two fir trees and cut the wood into sixteen inch rounds. They also removed four stumps.

 + -1 moreAn update on their work: I did not realize right away what a poor job they did on the stump removal. It looked good at the time, but I discovered later that they left a lot of stuff just a few inches below the surface. A very unpleasant surprise when I tried to dig there later. It was two guys, they were here for only a couple of hours, and they charged $800 for this? Bogus.
Description of Work: Two BIG jobs! 1. Grinding out a huge tree stump in a corner of our backyard (an old cherry tree had gone down before we purchased our home), and 2. Removing a bank of non-clumping, invasive bamboo. The first job required that they rent a smaller stump grinder and maneuver it through a narrow path down to the back garden, which they did with minimal hassle or damage to the plants along the way. They completed both jobs quickly and efficiently.
