The short story is: If you need granite/marble countertops Crowley?s is the best quality, service, and staff you can work with. If you run into an issue they will make you more than happy.

We had a couple of quotes from general contractors that seemed high, so we came to Angie's List and found Crowley's. We set a time up for an estimate and Aaron came out promptly and on time. He gave us a good overview of why Crowley's was different and the 8 features that set them apart from the competition. We selected a place that had granite, Elemar, and found the granite we loved. We used the Angie?s List coupon and picked the bathroom countertops from scraps left over from other Crowley?s jobs, since they were scraps the cost of material was free! We switched a couple times before the job started but Leta and the other folks at Crowley?s couldn?t have been nicer about it. There was a slight mix-up in some quotes we got but Crowley?s took care of us and discounted the Dry Treat on the stone to try and make it right. That sort of customer service sold us on them.

We struggled with our backsplash decision on tile, but Aaron suggested split granite backsplash that at the time was relatively new to them. They use the remaining material, to create a roughhewn stone backsplash. Once we saw a sample we were hooked. In working with Aaron we came up with some neat ideas for the backsplash, like outlet surrounds made of granite and a chair rail pieces made from granite.

The backsplash was a new process to them at the time and took much longer and took more material than planned, now I think they have a better understanding of what it takes. However the estimate we had was what we paid, and they couldn?t have been nicer about the whole thing. Sam did almost all of the backsplash work and he is a great craftsman and a great guy. You always run a risk inviting people into your home, but let me say Crowley?s knows how to hire. Everyone I worked with was a delight to work with and very good at their job. The end result of Sam?s hard work was the most amazing backsplash I?ve ever seen. We had a new dishwasher after it was in and the guy said, ?This is the most amazing backsplash I?ve ever seen, and I?m in some pretty amazing kitchens day in and day out.? Sam knocked it out of the park.

We did get the Dry Treat on all of our stone. That stuff is magic. If you don?t want to worry about your stone counters or backsplash, then get it! Water beads on rough stone! We accidently left coffee grounds on the counter over a weekend, water washed it off. Our kids brush their teeth and leave toothpaste on marble, with dry treat NO PROBLEM.

Crowley?s was a great company to work with and you really cannot go wrong working with them. If you have a granite or stone related job in the Portland Area and you will get the best for your money and a great experience to boot.

Their estimate was accurate, the only variable being the final material choice.  The installers arrived on the scheduled day; and the tear out and install work was completed over the course of two days.  The plumber returned on the third day to install faucets.  The quality of their craftsmanship is excellent.  The counters are well-made and the installation, including one seam in the kitchen, was done meticulously.  All of the craftsmen and installers that I encountered were professional and courteous.   I would happily recommend Crowley’s, and as other reviewers have mentioned, being able to actually help arrange the counter template was a great feature.

They did a wonderful job on countertops. They were very good. They did a good job. They came out when they said they would. They were concerned about the scratches. They took time to do the things right. Their price was the second highest. I feel what they did was great and the price was fair. They were very responsive. They were good on punctuality. They were very professional. I would use them in the future.

Everything went fine.  They did an excellent job.  There was a little confusion on when the plumbers were supposed to come and the number of faucets that they had to install, but everything eventually worked out.  We didn't have to pay extra for the additional visits that the plumber had to make.  Crowley took care of that.  In one of the bathrooms, when they ripped out our old counter tops, a small piece of the drywall also came out.  So there was a small hole after the granite counter was installed.  We had to pay extra for the repair of the hole.  But they did a great job.  I have no complaints at all.

Aaron came out to give us an estimate and sold us on his company. After selecting the granite we liked we went to Crowley's and worked with Nathan on laying how the granite would be cut. This was very helpful, as there were designs in the granite that we wanted in certain areas of the countertops. Sam came to the house and did the demo, removing all the old countertops and tile. Sam and a couple of other installers came back the next day and installed the countertops in the kitchen, pantry and bathroom. Every step of the way went smooth and we were very impressed with everyone we met from Crowley's. The cost may have been slightly higher than other companys but we felt it was worth the extra money. We will definitely use them as we continue updating our other bathrooms, etc.

They were amazing! They were always right on time and very pleasant and professional. They take great pride in their work and were much more particular about the little details than I was. 6 months after the install one of the seams had started to open up as a result of movement of the house, not workmanship. Even though the problem was not a result of their work, they came back and fixed it for free. They have been great to work with and I would definitely use them again!

Our kitchen counter top was replaced with granite. Crowley's has a digital templating process that allows them to measure quickly and have the granite ready within a couple of days for installation. After the templates were made, we made decisions on how we wanted the pattern of granite to look in the kitchen. The installation went quickly and well with a minimum of issues. (actually only one- they forgot to drill holes for the sink faucet). They were quick to respond to the miss and took care of it immediately. After the kitchen project we took advantage of their "remnants" program that allows you to choose free granite from their remnants for future projects. We just did this in our master bath so another gorgeous granite project completed!

It went very well. Aaron explained the process from start to finish and everything worked exactly as it was supposed to. The most important thing to us was to have minimal disruption and a beautiful outcome - we got both. The template was taken on a Monday and the work was done on the following Monday - Wednesday. Crowley's coordinated with the plumber so that all the work dovetailed perfectly. Everone who worked at our home was pleasant and professional, and cleaned up after themselves each day. We would definitely recommend Crowley's.

Crowley fabricated our Granite Island and countertop on the remodel of our 1974 kitchen in Rock Creek. They were recommended by our general contractor. Both my husband and I were very impressed with the job they performed. After the counter top templates were made in our kitchen, we were able to go out to the shop and look at the layout on the 2 slabs of granite. The folks at Crowley?s did a good job on the layout of the counter tops. My husband was able to pick his favorite features from the island slab to be highlighted. Installation was very smooth. I am especially impressed with the attention to detail where joints meet and where there are seams. The layout was so well thought out that you really have to look for it to find the seam. I would absolutely recommend Crowley?s to a friend.

We decided early on in our project we wanted excellent countertops. I found Crowley's on Angie's List and two separate cabinet makers also said to go with Crowley's. We did check others out though. My wife was very concerned about SEAMS as she has seen some really bad ones. When we went to Crowley's we got a tour and they showed us how they do seams... and showed us examples... !!! They were supportive through our search for the "just right" granite. They were both prompt and flexible with our needs. from qoutes to lay out they were superb. The lay out and use of the slabs was pure genius. The installation was done carefully and the finished countertops are excellent. Everyone at Crowley's was personable and professional. too bad there is not an A++ available. oh yeah and their price was better than anyone elses too... why go anywhere else??

We completely remodeled the kitchen, new everything. Once the new cabinets were installed, Crowley's come and measured for the granite countertop. We had selected the granite from El Mar. They delivered the granite to Crowley's who then laid out a preliminary cutout template on our granite according to our design suggestions for which parts of the granite we preferred, which could be cut out, etc. Crowley's then had us come to their shop to review their proposed template layout. We could move it around until we all agreed on the best configuration. It was then just a few days before they came and installed the granite. The end result was fabulous. We love it. The installers were very professional and skilled. On time and on budget. Willing to take the extras steps to produce a very high quality finished product. We'll definitely use them again.

Crowley Granite Concepts is a high quality, highly professional business managed with a personal touch. This company stands behind its promises and works hard to achieve customer satisfaction. We had an issue with the original granite slab selection, a concern we had highlighted in the original contract. When Crowley personnel could not resolve the problem after installation, they decided to pull the stone - which they did successfully without damaging our new custom European cabinets. They worked with us through the whole process again to our complete satisfaction. We would definitely use Crowley Granite Concepts again.

They are outstanding. A friend of mine had used them and recommended them. I have used them twice now, and they were just wonderful. They made it very easy to accommodate my schedule for the measuring and installation. I just wish I could use them more often!

Unfortunately, we were not able to give an ?A? rating for this company. We were looking for a reputable firm that could come out to seal our granite countertops with a long-term guaranty rather than doing a sealant every year or so. Crowley?s was recommended to us by the contractor that remodeled our kitchen. We were expecting great things from Crowley?s because they did an excellent job in fabricating our granite countertops and installing them in our kitchen. While the work they did on sealing our countertops was fine, trying to get a hold of someone to answer our questions and schedule a time for them to come out to do the work was not very good. When we first called them, shortly after getting the recommendation for our kitchen remodeler, we had to leave a message as the person we were to contact was not available. We did not receive a reply back for over a week, so we had to call them again. As the person was not available, we left another message for him to call us. He did call us back promptly, but we were not available when he called. We called him back, but he was not available and asked him to call us back. When he did not call us back that day, we called him the following day, but again, he was not available. We asked if there was someone else we could talk to about the sealant. The woman we talked to was very helpful and we scheduled a time about a week later for them to come out to the house to apply the sealant. On the evening before they were to come out, they called to tell us that they had double-booked that time and asked if we could re-schedule. It did not seem like we had any choice if we wanted them to do the work, so we reluctantly said okay and had the work re-scheduled for the same time, but a week later. We were also wondering if they really did double-book or if something else came up suddenly because you would think that a double booking would be noticed earlier than the day before the scheduled appointment. When Crowley?s came out to do the work, he was on time, friendly, and very professional. It took between 3 and 4 hours to complete the sealant process as there is a 2 hour drying time for the sealant to get absorbed into the granite. He did a good job of applying the sealant. We told our kitchen remodeler of the problems we had with Crowley's and he called them to see what the issues were. After that, Aaron Crowley from Crowely's called us and informed that there were a lot of extenuating circumstances that caused all of the problems we encountered. As a result, we are assuming that our experience with Crowley's was a fluke because they did such a great job on fabricating and installing our countertops and that once we were able to get them out to our house to apply the sealant, they did a very good job. We would still recommend them, but just be aware that we had this problem and it could happen again.

Superbly. Initially, the adhesive used to seal the seam didn't set as quickly or as firmly as they wanted it to. Instead of settling for a less than perfect job, they did that part of the job over. It meant that a half-day job became an all-day job, but they did it of their own volition and without any sign of impatience, even calling in two other employees to confer. The counter looks amazing, and the workmanship was first rate. The two workers who did the job were great.

We had Crowleys come out and give us an estimate. We went and looked at granite using the list they gave us. Their part of having the old countertops removed and the new ones installed went pretty effortlessly. We're running into a bit of problem hearing from the people who are doing the finish work (backsplash...a tiny bit of carpentry)

They were extremely professional. Cost was higher than other quotes for my specific project, but they ultimately offered to reduce the quote to "fill some holes in their schedule." By that point I was already committed to another supplier but, if I had not been committed, I would certainly have considered using Crowley's for this project

After Crowley put granite counter tops in our kitchen they offered to let us select from their remnant granite for free on future jobs. We had them back out to put in a laundry room and two bathroom counter tops this time. Selecting remnant material didn't give us nearly as many options as buying new but there were a few good options and we like the stone we ended up with. They did a great job coordinating pickup of a basin sink with Geoge Morlan at a slight discount and rolled it into our bill. The design, demo, and install went off without a hitch.

I originally thought of using one of the large home improvement stores to do this work. Upon hearing their estimate of 3-4 weeks of the kitchen being unuseable I started looking for an alternative, and joined Angies list for the purpose. Since Crowleys was at the top of the list I visited their showroom. Of particular interest was their method of measuring the existing counters with digital marker tiles and not requiring tear out in order to template the new counter tops. Tear out 1 day , and install the next. From the moment I walked in the experience was pleasant, and constructive. Although I just walked in , I had some pictures and dimensions of the project I wanted done. Within 30 minutes I had a quote for a mid line granite including all the work (tear out, removal of appliances sink etc, and reinstallation). Although we later changed to another slightly higher priced granite, the only difference was the cost of the actual granite. Overall the initial quote was within $250 of the final cost. After having my wife vist the showroom we decided to go ahead with the project. From that point the project went on a fast track. Since I was leaving for a 10 day businesss trip soon we needed to accomplish the selection of our granite and provider rather quickly. We visited one of the providers they recommend and picked the material we wanted. Crowleys updated the quote overnight via e-mail. But because the provider had limited stock of the granite we selected, we ended up having to go to a second provider to actually pick out our slabs. Crowleys was flexible in scheduling within the limits of the work they already had scheduled to be done. But from the time we finalised the quote to install was still only 1 1/2 weeks. Since I was going out of town on a 10 day business trip I was initially concerned when my wife decided she wanted the work started while I was gone. I had no reason to be concerned! Workers arrived to remove the Existing sink, cooktop, counters and some of the backsplash on Sunday morning, since the install was to start on Monday. By 3 PM the work was done. Crowleys installers showed up at 8 Monday morning and were done with the counters by 4, although they had to return on Thursday to install the backsplash (because they needed to measure and cut them to fit the existing tile above the new counters). The other workers returned at 12 on Tuesday to reinstall the cooktop and hook up the sink. By 2 PM our kitchen was useable again. Total 2 1/2 days of not having a sink or stove. Crowleys installers returned at 12 on Thursday to install the Backsplashes and finished about 430. Overall the process was painless and went exactly as described. My wife and I are thrilled with the new look of our kitchen and extremely pleased with how well the whole project went. I would recommend Crowleys without hesitation.
