I've worked with Evergreen since we purchased our home in 2020. They've done a multitude of projects for us, the most recent being installing an entirely new HVAC system (two units inside and out). They are on time, friendly, courteous, and very professional. They even put up with our rather high-strung little poodle. We had multiple companies bid our job, and we chose Evergreen both because we knew they would do a good job and stand behind their products. We also knew they would be great folks to have in our home doing work. It's never easy when contractors are in your living space, but they make it as pleasant as it can be. Thanks to Shaun and his team for doing such a great job for us, many times over!

Our furnace started shooting out cold air very early morning in the midst of winter. Evergreen responded first thing the following morning (my request for repair was put in about 4am) and was the ONLY company of 4 requests to respond. They were able to get a technician out the same day for emergency repair. Todd arrived within 2 hours of confirming the visit. The company even sent a text with an image of the technician for safety purposes (this is extremely rare). He was able to diagnose the issue quickly and come up with an affordable fix that would keep the issue from recurring. He had to reroute the drain pipe that had frozen and backed water up into the system … had everything he needed in his truck and was finished within two hours of his arrival and found a solution that was affordable, quick, and professional looking. Before leaving, Todd gave us a mini lesson about the furnace so we can do basic maintenance ourselves in the future. (This is our first home, this furnace was already in place when we bought the house, and we had no experience with these types of systems.) Also gave us some reassurances regarding our natural gas system. I will definitely use this company in the future and would recommend to anyone having furnace issues.

Do not use this company for install or repair. We had them come out to service two fireplaces. After a quick inspection the technician informed us of a clogged pipe and a cracked firebox. He would not unclog the pipe but said he would come back after the cracks were repaired (by another company as they do not do this type of repair). The second fireplace he looked at he was also unable to repair. We still barely have any flame. After he left with both fireplaces still not working we received a bill for $400. When I reached out to the service department Carrie and the Service Manager said they would not service the fireplaces and that we would need to reach out to another fireplace contractor to get them repaired. This company is clearly unable to preform this type of work and could have saved all of us time by referring repairs out from the beginning. If you are in need of gas fireplace service, I recommend not using this company.

Since our technician was not able to fix them onsite, he left both units in a safe position. We billed you $400 to perform the diagnostics, and let you know this morning (before you wrote your review) that we would be writing off your balance and would not be returning to perform any future work. It is not that we are unable to do the repairs. The reason we elected to decline your business is because you were very demeaning and disrespectful to our staff. We run a respectful and honest business, and in doing that we are selective with who we work with. We will always put the safety and well being of our employees first. We hope you are able to get your fireplaces repaired safely, by another company. Again, your balance has been discounted and you will not be receiving any further correspondence from our company."

Very bad experience. My furnace didn’t work. Hired them to perform a diagnostics and a maintenance on 02/24. Their technician cleaned a burner part then the furnace worked (only for 8 days). On the 9th day, 03/05, the furnace stopped working again. I called them and they replied, without even sending a technician to my house, that the burner they just cleaned needs to be replaced, for additional $535. Tried to reason with them that the problem was not really fixed by them because it just came back on the 9th day. I was OK to pay for the module but I was not OK to pay for their labor fee this time since they could not get it fixed at the first time and I have already paid them $340. They disagreed and told me what they did was right (yeah, to hide a problem and not to let it happen for 8 days then charge the customer more for a future visit?). I will certainly not hire them again for anything. I strongly recommend to avoid hiring this company since they charge a customer for a problem they could not even fix.

Called them based on Angie's List "A". Was quoted $250 for diagnostic and maintenance visit. That seemed high, so called NW Natural Gas, who recommended them but said the diagnostic and maintenance cost should be $199. So called them back, and they said yes, if you mention NW Natural then you get a $50 discount. So why not just give me the $199 price on my initial call? So they start out with dishonesty. Guy comes out and only charged $119 for the diagnostic, additional $80 charged with cleaning after fix. Next day I get an estimate for $975 to replace gas valve, they refuse to provide itemize list, or give me specifics on the part (model # etc) so I can comparison shop. Called them up and talked to TJ, who refuses to elaborate on the $975 estimate. Tells me this cost is in line with the rest of the industry and expects me to just trust his word on that. If this estimate is in line with the rest of the industry, then why not be transparent about what part you are replacing and what all the individual costs are (ie an itemize list of what I'm paying for). So I basically paid $119 just to be told nothing except it is going cost $975 to fix. And I should trust them after NW Natural incident? Sorry, taking my business elsewhere.

We initially quote pricing based on how our customers are referred to us, and according to the pricing contracts we have with other providers. As far as I can see our office followed our protocol with quoting you our standard pricing, then honored the reduced rate when you mentioned being referred by NW Natural. I am pleased that they did extend this promotional offer to you. In the end, you only paid $119 which I would think you would be even more please with. Often times, costs go up in the field rather than down, but we did not do that to you. As far as repair costs, we have flat rate pricing which includes the part, labor, and warranty of the part we are replacing. As a business, we do have a choice of how and why we bill a certain way. I know TJ explained this to you, and said you were welcome to call around and get additional quotes. Our company was built with integrity, so it is upsetting to read your review questioning this. During this difficult time in 2020, we have found more and more customers getting upset about pricing and costs. We do our best to be upfront about pricing and honoring not only our customers but the commitments we have with companies like NW Natural and Angie's List. Contrary to your review, we do care about our customers and running an honest business. I am sorry you were not happy with our company but wish you well."

After being bumped by my HVAC contractor (who in 2010 installed a new Furnace and AC and has since serviced them twice yearly), I contacted Angies List who provided me with the names of four contractors. The first contractor came the same day (Tuesday) I called but his bid was outrageous. Evergreen (Bill, the owner) came next day (Wednesday) and quoted exactly what I wanted - the price was towards the low end of of what my current HVAC contractor had quoted but more importantly the install could be done the following Monday. I was so pleased with the quote and Bill's professionalism, I immediately accepted his bid. I cancelled the scheduled visit of the third contractor who would have come next day. The fourth contractor never did respond. On Monday, right on time, Jose and Bill arrived and within less than 2 hours they had completed the job. Very professional, no mess during the work and no mess left behind. Bill even did an inspection of my complete ductwork and reported it was in good order as was my crawl space (dry). I asked him to do that because the first contractor suggested (outrageously) that it would be better if the complete duct system was replaced. There was no additional charge for the inspection. Absolutely delighted with what Jose and Bill did for me; the heating/cooling problem has been fully corrected. Needless to say, from now on Evergreen will also be servicing my Furnace and AC (as well as my Gas Fire)! Lessons learned: 1. Angies List is a good source for Contractors' details. 2. There are both good (Evergreen) and not so good (even outrageous) contractors listed. Take care! 3). Even if you totally trust a HVAC company with whom you have worked with for may years, they may not be there for you when you want them (I was bumped because my scheduled job was much smaller than a bigger one on which they had just bid and wanted).

Shaun and Jonathan worked tirelessly to complete the project. I was to install a stone mosaic rug before they connected the fire pit. I injured my back and had to put my part of the project on hold. They were very accommodating, working around my recovery. They worked with me to make sure the fire pit was leveled and situated for the best view in the garden. They converted the pit to accommodate natural gas. That allowed me to order a less expensive wood burning fire pit and have them reconfigure it. After digging trenches and laying the pipeline, they were careful to put everything back as it was. I was totally satisfied with their work.

We couldn't be happier with Evergreen Gas Company! We started out working with the company and the owner, Bill, on our landscape projects for firepits, grills and outdoor kitchens (we own a landscape install company). They have always done excellent work, are always on time, the employees are polite and look sharp, the follow up work is perfect and they are always easy to reach by phone and great at communicating. We have also used Evergreen Gas for our personal gas needs around our home and had them install gas to our outdoor firepit, grill and most recently they converted an indoor wood burning fireplace to an easy to use + beautiful gas fireplace with an awesome look and custom log set. The projects they did for us personally turned out perfect. We must say that the gas fireplace install exceeded our expectations in value and quality--- it is perfect! We highly recommend this company for all of your gas needs!
