great. Very knowledgeable tech guy. He had everything he needed to get the job done, rather than finding out what was wrong and then having to come back.

my husband was killed 4 days before the planned installation. Columbia NW graciously recommended for a more convenient time. They are always on time, very responsive and kind.

Replaced during a snowstorm. Brought in electric heaters to keep house warm. Called often to make sure everything was OK.

I had a really good service with Columbia NW Heating & Cooling Inc. Excellent quality.

It was eventually effective there was a period of time where they would send a particular technician they send that we always had to have somebody come back after that technician left some was but I don't know if that person is even still there but they sent someone better after that. Last visit they explanation of what their doing what has to be done is pretty good.

They did a tune up and fixed the vent for free. Quick responses to emails.

It went great. Excellent workmanship. Decent value. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Did a good job for almost everything. But thermostat was not installed to my satisfaction. It is hanging from wall a little. The cost for hvac was about what everyone else was asking.

I was really delighted with the amazing quality of the installation work. The work included breaking through concrete to re route the duct work so that the furnace could be installed in the garage instead of the crawl space. Their work was phenomenal. Most of the other HVAC companies would not tackle this job because it was so extensive, requiring this work with the concrete as well as doing a roof penetration to exhaust the new furnace. the workers were extremely professional and clean. These are the folks to call if you have a complicated retrofit furnace and AC need.

9/15--installed heat pump; next day someone from the company came back to "ground" the system which apparently they forgot to do when they  installed it the day before (at least they recognized it).  

3/16--Six months later: New thermostat/heat stopped working.  Called company and someone was to come at end of the day.  Secretary (not Anita) was very unhelpful and patronizing when I called to ask for an approximate time.  Person came and said the furnace needs a new "mother board," promised to call in AM to get going but never called back.  Finally got a hold of him and he came back in the evening although unfortunately the board did not fit our system.  Waited a day before someone else came with the correct board but he discovered the real problem to be the heat exchanger which he said was defunct and that we needed a new furnace ("too dangerous to operate the current one").  

Salesperson Dave came over and calculated what we needed; he was detailed and informative and tried to be accommodating in terms of the 6 month old thermostat put in with the heat pump which would not work for the new furnace, stating he will see if we can get reimbursed for it.  He also tried getting us some complimentary tuneups in the future since we are spending big money with this company for the heat pump and furnace.  Nothing came out of this attempt and after emailing several times I never heard anything more and assume the company is done with us.  

After the furnace was installed they could not turn it on because they had forgotten to get the new thermostat and had to come back the next day to install that (luckily we had the heat pump to keep us warm).   

Unhelpful secretary, wrong diagnosis resulting in wasted time/effort all around, forgetting to "ground" the system, forgetting other parts, unfulfilled promises, all of which makes giving the company an A very difficult.  

This company can do better in terms of communication and better assessment of the problem (so it doesn't feel like everyone is doing piecemeal work).   Staff were courteous and professional (except for the secretary).   

The finished product is working okay up to now.  I hesitate to call them again especially if I have to talk to that very unhelpful secretary.

I woke up one morning to my furnace blowing out cold air. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. I ended up canceling/rescheduling, then canceling and rescheduling again and they were very flexible.
The repairman was very kind and efficient at his work. I didn't feel like he was trying to nickle and dime me with recommended repairs.
As our furnace is going on 17 years old, we were on the fence regarding possible needed repairs or a total replacement. The company sent out someone to assess our situation and I was shocked as he told us that we could probably hold off a couple more years for replacement! I've never had a company that didn't try to pressure you into a new purchase! I was so very impressed!

Salesperson was knowledgeable, candid and had a helpful perspective on what needed to be done.  His company is way more expensive than competitors, so I chose not to buy from them.

Did a great job overall; Job took all day because of complications working with the old unit.  The unit is working well.  They did forget to ground the system but apparently the company went over the work and caught it and informed us about it.  They send someone to finish the job.

They were very good. It went very well.

The guy who came was really personable, really nice and patient. He explained everything that we needed to know. Because we're first time home owners, we didn't know a lot of different things. But, he was very patient and knowledgeable. The quote was very detailed. There were eight pages of literature and it explains everything with pictures even. Afterwards, I found out that I could have probably gotten it a little cheaper. However, after doing some research, I realized that the brand that we're buying is a high-end. So, I probably would have went with somebody else had I known that I could have gotten it cheaper. But, I would have gotten a not-as-good unit. I'm glad we did it. But, sometimes money is a factor.

The heat pump was installed in a professional and timely manner. Installers fit a large furnace into a small closet, with only a few inches to spare. They also installed an air intake that greatly improved the air flow. All in all, they did a very good job. The price was considerably higher than other bids we obtained, but provider was closer and had a good reputation, so we chose them.

The heat pump is very economical to operate.
