Had to go under my house and replace a part for my main bathroom. Didn't take him long to find and fix the problem. He billed my later.

this was the first time I have used Angie's List or Rod's Plumbing. I was happy to find a nearby plumber and the reviews were accurate - they were able to come promptly, were able to fix the problem and were polite and professional. Can't ask for much more than that!

Project went great! The two valves were installed in about an hour. Later in the same day, I was finishing the shower structure I accidently let fly a nail from my gun. Missed my, but nicked the cold water supply line. I turned water off, and scheduled Rod's plumbing for the next morning. He showed up on time, and quickly fixed the leak.

I called first thing on a Monday morning. I thought I was going to need a new water heater. I can't now remember whether Rod said he would be able to come out later that morning or whether it was just sometime that same day. I gave him my contact information so that he could call when he was on his way. He came about 2 hours later (without calling, but that might have been because I am close to his home so he could just check by on his way to or from his base). He removed his shoes when he came in. He explained my options. He worked efficiently. He showed me the damaged part he replaced. The charges were reasonable and fair.
What I most appreciated was that I felt like Rod gave a fair assessment of the situation without pushing a new water heater that I was prepared to buy but might not need for for some time.
In short, I would call Rod courteous, honest, efficient and fair.

Workers were very good to work with. They removed their shoes befor entering the house and even wiped off the steps outside. They replaced an elbow on a gas line so our new stove wouldn't,t sit to far from the wall. Job was completed in about 1/2 hour. Good service.

The service was fine. He did some other stuff too. When he was doing the water heater he broke some path in the line and he had to come out and fix that. He cleaned the pipe as well. The work was fine. The price was average.

Our well was going bad and our choice was a new well or connect to city water. We selected three plumbing companys to get bids from to make the connection once we decided to take the city water option. We outlined several options in our request for bid. Only Rod seemed to understand the request and provided us the three price options we requested. Once we selected Rod he worked with us to bring the job in under what we thought it would cost (we opted to trench ourself) and the finished job was perfect.

I could not have asked for better service. Rod arrived a few minutes before the scheduled appointment. He took his shoes off outside the front door. Rod was very pleasant and professional. He was even friendly with my dog. Rod immediately took a look under the kitchen sink, diagnosed the problem, and began fixing it. As my house is old, I also had some questions about the plumbing in general. He seemed happy to answer all my questions. It did not take Rod long to complete the job, and the fee was very reasonable.

We used the coupon and it was nice finding him on the list. They were extremely prompt; I called at about 7:55 and they were here by 8:30. I would recommend contacting them immediately because he answered the phone right away, he was cheerful, and he sent someone out immediately. I don?t have anything to compare it to but the price seemed fair.

Rod and I had some difficulty in connecting on our first attempts at communication; however, he persevered and we quickly made an appointment for him to look at the job. He arrived promptly and gave us helpful information regarding the cost of sinks and recommended a very low price Gerber sink. Rod scheduled the installation in only three working days! His installer, Tim, arrived on time, was friendly and did an outstanding job in only two hours. Tim also spent three minutes checking and correcting the kitchen faucet that I mentioned was not consistently bringing hot water to the kitchen sink. It now works fine. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we will use them again when the need/opportunity arises. The sinks look great!

Most important, again, what I learned about Rod is he did not take advantage of the stress I was going through and do unnecessary work in an area I will never see - the crawl space.

Please call Rod's Plumbing if you live in this area. I don't think I can even say enough about this experience to accurately describe how professional and thorough they were. Late Monday (August 2) I tried to use our very old garbage disposal to grind up some pea pods and ended up clogging the kitchen sink. We had been planning on calling a plumber anyway to look at both of our remodeled bathrooms as we've experienced some leaks over the last few years and since we're selling the house, it must be taken care of. When the sink hadn't unclogged by Tuesday morning, I called Rod's. They couldn't make it out that day but promised they'd be there between 8-8:30am the next day. They were right on time. The plumber, who sadly I cannot remember his name, it wasn't "Rod", was professional and got to right to work. I was impressed with the questions he asked. He started trying to figure out the source of our leaks. After running the water for at least 15 minutes without any dripping anywhere, and I discussed that the leaks did always happen on rainy days, he said it was more than likely our roof, still, he said he would reseal the upstairs drain as it looked like in the past it might have been a problem. He did this right before he left. Then he went to work on the kitchen sink. He found a low place in the basement where the pipe bracing had come loose and was clearly able to find the clog. He pulled up our carpet and pad (not attached), put down rags and a large bucket, and then took apart the pipe. He had the clog cleared in no time, but continued to work to make sure the entire pipe ran clean. He then completely cleaned up, fixed the brace, and was out the door. I couldn't believe how quickly he worked, and how much effort he put in to making sure I understood exactly what the problem was and what he was doing to repair it. And after all of this, he only charged $85. Considering he had a 30 minute drive here each way, that's more than impressive. I was thrilled with the service and we are keeping the phone number on-hand for any future problems.

We had experienced water damage from a serious leak a while back. When our water bill suddenly went up we worried that there might be another leak. Rod's services seemed to be reasonably priced and his ratings were good so we called him. He called back within the hour and was here promptly the next morning to check our meter and look at the plumbing beneath the house. He assured us that everything was okay and then he came in to look under the bathroom sink and proceeded to fix the drain pipe. Rod is friendly, prompt, skilled, knowledgeable, and also very dog friendly. Our German Shepherd loved him.

When I first called, I was grateful that he said he could come out that same day. He showed up when he said he would, and got right to work. He explained what he would be doing and why, and answered all my questions as he worked. Rod has a very pleasant and professional manner, and I would not hesitate to call him again.

He charges $85 per hour. He has worked for me several times. The first and second times I used him, he was wonderful. His punctuality has gone down and the last time I called him, he didn't call me back quickly. I've had to call him a couple of times. I didn't appreciate him not calling to tell me that he was going to be late. His price was reasonable for a plumber. The faucet is not working correctly. In the beginning the quality was great, but it has been sliding. His punctuality may be governed by other things that he is doing.

Rod is a great plumber at a very fair price. When he came to give us a quote for our remodel work I hired him on the spot with only one other estimate in my pocket because I had an idea how much time it would take and the cost of parts and his quote was right on the spot. No monkey business, just fair. And his work is excellent. We needed a couple of followup trips to the house because we ended up buying fixtures through Rod's as well and he was always on time and communicated well. We have some more work coming up and will be hiring him again, no question. Plus.... Rod is just a darn nice guy!
