The work was excellent and the price was very reasonable. The only complaint that we had with them was with their communication. I think they got really busy all of a sudden so their communication was not the best with us or among their different depts. We had to contact them several times about getting certain things done and then in the end, they forgot about re-hanging our gutters (they told us that they had been hung wrong) so that job has never been completed.

After everything with flooring and install issues. Everything is now great. Not perfect, but nothing is ever perfect!

Don was great from start to finish - prompt, responsive, careful, calm and completely professional. Of course it took a little longer than expected (but not much) and cost a little more than planned (because of unexpected problems found under the walls and floors). Don was always available, in person or by phone, and his crew were easy to have around, clean and neat, and did excellent, quick work. No complaints at all!

I have had a lot of remodeling done on my current and previous home. Luckily I've always had pretty good luck with contractors. But Synergies was the best so far. What was striking was the reliability of Don and all his subcontractors - no down time, people showing up when they say they would. And ever more mind-boggling, the project came in on schedule. I've never had that happen. Project also came in on budget, except for unforeseen issues (like code violations on existing electrical), which always crop-up in old houses like mine. The other part that deserves high marks is that the non-work areas of the house remained dust/grime free. It was not an issue to live in the house for the 8 weeks the work was going on. Don, the owner of Synergies, is also great with young kids (2 and 4).

There were a few little snags along the way-sub-contractor mistakes-but Don handled them very well and took care of everything in a manner that would not make me hesitate at all about working with him again. We started with the master bathroom to see what kind of finished product we would get before moving on to the kitchen and we only paused briefly for a little break from all the contractors before moving on to the other projects. The project ran just a little over budget, in part due to change orders and in part due to an engineering oversight, but we did not feel it was unreasonable. The project was not finished quite on time, but I think it only ran maybe 1-2 weeks over(the kitchen)and the other project upstairs actually finished a little early. Any delay was explained and, for the most part, seemed reasonable and necessary. We are very happy with the quality of the work and the follow-up Don has provided. He did not finish the job and disappear. He continues to be responsive to our occasional questions or follow-up needs. He is genuinely interested in the product he provides as well as the process.

Synergies handled a major remodeling in my home beautifully. Don and his subs are professional, clean and did great work. Don is a good communicator, true to his word and when he says something is going to happen it happens on time. I've worked with many general contractors and subs and I can confidently say that Syergies is my best experience.

Don did very beautiful and careful work, preparing the work space with plastic sheeting to shield the rest of the house from any dust and covering the kitchen flooring with particle board. Don did all of the work himself, except for the installation of the new electrical outlets and switches. He left my kitchen tidy every day when he left even though I was doing my ''cooking'' in the adjoining bathroom). Don consulted with me every step of the way and made helpful suggestions when choices had to be made. He also allowed me to ''help'' with painting and staining where I could. Up until now, my experiences with contractors have not been very positive. Don has changed all of that. He began work when he said he would and completed on time, which was very important to me as I was going to be leaving town immediately following the remodel. Don did what he said he was going to do, but he also did many extra things that were not part of the contract, and which were unexpected gifts.

This was not an easy job, but he did great work. We had other estimates from companies who seemed to have a difficult time visualizing what we wanted done. Don Jensen was able to visualize it perfectly. He did a great job. It looks as if it was designed this way from the start.
