Superior Performance

I had a certain amount of money that I was working with to get my car repaired. I had the owner come to my house to make sure that he could repair the vehicle for the amount of money that I had. He looked over the vehicle from top to bottom and he said that he could do the work no problem. When I got the car back, the inside body panels did not have a single screw in them. The paint had runs in it and pit marks. The stripes were not properly done. There were flaws and dirt in the paint. He did not paint the door panels or under the trunk lid as promised. There was overspray on multiple components of the vehicle. The trunk lid did not line up correctly. When they were done they gave me a jar of spare bolts and miscellaneous parts that went to the car. The rear bumper was on the car crooked. The quarter panel was repaired crooked. They never seam-filled the joints. They put incorrect sized rear springs on the car. A week after the paint job was done, the rear end of the cars bondo was cracking and splitting. They blamed the cracking and splitting on the rear suspension that they installed. They replaced a header and it leaked severely. Only 90% of the car was buffed. They missed multiple spots and full panels when buffing out the car. On the bottom of the car there was a black stripe that I had to ask them to paint on the car. After it was done, they didn't even put on enough paint to cover the existing color because you could see it coming through. They did a front end alignment that I had to have another shop redo. Under the hood had never been washed or cleaned. It had sanding dust and debris that I had to wash and detail on my own. They did not install the spring on the drivers door handle, so the door handle just flops around. This is a classic car that they promised to bring back to show quality and I have been embarrassed to take it to shows because of the poor paint job. There was a racing stripe on the body of the car was not painted the correct size. It was painted 2 inches narrower than when I took it to him. There is over spray on multiple panels on the inside and outside of the car. The wheel wells, interior plastic panels, and chrome strips have overspray on them. The job was not completed until almost 2 weeks after the original date that was promised, which put me in a rush to make it to a car show. I have gone back multiple times to try and get these issues fixed. He told me that I got way more work that I paid for, and if I wanted him to finish the job I would need to take him to court, where he is proud to say that he has never lost. When I told him I would take him to court, he told me to bring it in and they would fix the problems. I decided then that I never wanted them fixing anything else on my car.

I couldn't be more pleased.
