They were on budget and on time. They just did an excellent service. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again in the future.

The job took a wee bit longer, but finished result was beautiful. Carpet installation remarkable, could not find seems anywhere. Received complements from other plumbers when other work was needed. However, I wished the plumbers paid more attention to my sewege system. Perhaps getting a new sub-contracter would have saved me an expensive plumbing disaster. The following year I learned that the sewer pipes had collapsed years ago and I had to replace the entire sewer system in the house all the way to the city. I saw my carpet pulled up and bathroom tiles removed as jackhammers pounded into the cement. I was heart broken to see all that hard work be pulled apart. It was impossible to regain that perfection that Superior had done.

We think it went ok, there was some trouble in the company and our contact person, we were told, was on leave of absence. We did not receive a construction schedule as promised but we did keep in contact with the project manager throughout the project.

The designers at Superior Home were extremely helpful in making material choices, and their large showroom was a huge help. Once our materials and design were chosen, the work began right after the first of the year (2009). The work began on time and every day I would return home to find some manner of work in progress. As the work progressed, our original design had to be changed to account for a 'sheer wall' (not sure if I'm referencing that correctly) that could not be removed as planned. Our designer and project manager worked together with us to re-design the kitchen to suit our needs. After several weeks however, a new project manager took over the job and this is where we began to run into problems. Phone calls, emails, et. were not being returned. More than a few times, I would receive a call from the electrician wondering where certain lights were, or calls from the plumber wondering about the sink....when no one advised they were 'ready' for these items and that I needed to make those purchases myself. As someone who has never done any remodeling or contracted any remodeling, I was frustrated by the lack of communication on their part. I felt had I not continued to 'be a pest' for updates then we might still be waiting for the job to be completed. We left town for several days at one point in the project and we were assured that the carpet was going to be installed while we were away. We did return to a fully carpeted home, however tacks and nails were everywhere and the carpet installer had badly damaged all the new moulding. As the project neared completion, getting anyone to respond to my repeated calls and emails with regard to the 'punch list' of unfinished items went unanswered. Ultimately, we had to contract someone else to complete the punch list. Having said all that, the quality of the work that was completed is fantastic. I am an extremely picky person about quality (I was raised by a perfectionist....things like a crooked tile in the backsplash is unacceptable to me) and I have to say the work is beautiful. Our kitchen is a dream kitchen and as the months have progressed, I still have zero complaints about the quality of their work. The cabinets are amazing and the attention to detail is what one might expect from a very high-end contractor. I do believe that our problems were likely caused by the project manager, who I believe is no longer with the company. We still have two bathrooms to remodel and I would consider using them again, based on the quality of their work.

The house was originally built in the late 1960's and outdated when we originally finalized the purchased in August. Every room in the house was covered in either shag carpet or old, slimy linoleum. Dark doors and trim and gold appliques finished the 1970's decor. We were overwhelmed with all the needed improvements and were amazed at all the options that existed in the world of remodeling. Thankfully, Superior Floors & Counters had an amazing show room, combined with well educated designers who were able to talk us through the process from start-to-finish and show us exactly what we needed based on our lifestyle, decor style, and budget. Not only did we need to choose out new flooring and tile, but our entire kitchen needed to be ripped down, gutted and rebuilt from the ground up. Our main contact, Adrian, was able to create the design of our dreams on paper and then recreate it in real life. The end results of the whole project was breath taking. Our neighbors were in awe of the transformation and it didn't take long for the news to spread through the neighborhood. Our house was one of the rare "originals" left on the block and we received numerous knocks on the front door inquiring if they could come in and take a look around. We have received nothing but extremely positive feedback and compliments on the improvements. Not only are our neighbors impressed, but so are we. We now have a home we want to come home to. One we are proud of and one that makes us truly feel like we've arrived home. When our finances allow, we will not hesitate to contact Superior Floors & Counters to tackle our two bathrooms. Without a doubt, we know that they will remain consistent in the quality of their work, their superb customer service, the friendliness, promptness and respect of their employees, and the resources of materials they have available to them. We strongly recommend Superior Floors & Counters to anyone looking to improve the equity and livability of their home.
