Upon selection, the project manager came back out to sign the agreement and collect the down payment. The "contract" was just the document that was received as the estimate. Additionally details were hand-written on the signed documents, but in general it seemed a little too loose.
Work was set to begin the following week and kept getting pushed, however it was only a few days rather than weeks. When the workers did show up they laid down plywood to help protect from tearing up the grass, however at the end of the project it didn't look as though they did anything at all. The entire project took about three days (spanned a weekend).
I requested that my grape arbor posts be incorporated into the patio. While it was done, they didn't bother to make the existing footings flush with the rest of the surface or even level . Upon registering my complaint, I was told "we will get back to you". (Still waiting).
While the patio itself came out fine (minus the grape arbor footing), the area around it is bald and torn up. With all of the sod removed some could have been saved to fill in the gaps. (Note: On the rounded corner, the grass was cut square and a rounded section of grass saved. Why not save the rest of the sod for other areas?)
Their attention to details is lacking and for the purchase price I would have expected more. The company provides a 10 year warranty if the ground sinks or pavers crack, but I'm a little skeptical since they haven't responded to my complaints yet.
