Room Solutions Staging specializes in pre-listing staging consultations in the greater Portland area. We provide the seller (or their listing agent) expert advice that's specific to their home to make sure that it's appealing to potential buyers when it goes on the market. We interviewed Maureen after seeing that she had great reviews on Angie's list, and yet again, Angie's list members helped us to select the perfect service provider! Maureen has a terrific eye for design that made the rooms in our house look fantastic! She was able to bring out the best in the rooms. She staged our kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, the master bedroom and bath and added accents to enhance other areas of our home. As we had already moved, the house was empty, except for 2 small accent tables that Maureen suggested we keep in the house. Everything else, including pictures, plants, towels, decorator items, furniture and linens were selected by and provided by Maureen. Maureen is an experienced professional. She responded very quickly to our initial email and was able to meet with us the following day. After snapshots, notes and discussion with us and with our realtor, she provided us with a written proposal that was very competitive (we had also interviewed another staging company). Maureen and her team completed the staging set up in 1 day as scheduled and the home was in perfect condition for pictures the following day. I could not believe the difference she made. Our home sold very quickly but the actual closing date was in a bit of a flux right near the end and Maureen worked with us to schedule the de-staging on the day before we actually closed. I highly recommend using a stager when selling your home, even if you will still be living in the home while it is listed, and Maureen is at the top of my list. I have already referred her to family!

The home was beautifully decorated with furnishings that enhanced the rooms. I was very pleased with her selections. I especially appreciated her taking photos of the staging as part of our contract and sending them to me right away to use in my marketing of the home. Within a month of the home being staged, we had a sale.
When I notified the company to give notice of the home sale, Maureen accommodated my request to move the furnishings out on the date I requested.
All the furnishings were installed and removed without damage to the floors or walls. I am very pleased with Room Solutions and will definitely use them again when the need arises.

- We had a 3200 square foot home that we were preparing to sell. We had done a complete remodel and were trying to get this home sold quickly. Maureen and her crew placed furniture and decorations that suited our home beautifully. The subsequent photographs and online listing looked beautiful. With the home staged potential buyers are able to see the home and the space as they would use them and they don't see minor imperfections right off. Maureen of Room Solutions called me shortly after I sent an initial email to her, and walked through my vacant home later that day. The next day, she sent me a staging proposal, and later also provided a detailed list of items throughout the house that needed cleaning or repair so that the house would show well. Two weeks later, after the remodeling was complete, the furniture was delivered and Maureen spent the day staging the house. She did a great job in selecting tasteful furniture and accessories to suit each room, and her staging made two bedrooms with slanted ceilings look much larger than they did when vacant. Three days after I relisted my house for sale, I received a full-priced offer. I highly recommend Room Solutions to anyone selling their home; the cost is absolutely worth it.

While other stagers proposed removing and replacing much or our furniture and putting it in storage, Maureen's approach was to use the furnishings we owned, rearranging them and adding accessories from her inventory to present our home in an appealing manner. This worked well and was cost effective.
In advance to coming for the staging, Maureen provided a thorough and helpful list of to-do's for us to put our house in order. We carried them out and these in and of themselves enhanced the look of our home substantially both inside and out.
A few days before our house went on the market, Maureen and an associate came to our house to do the staging. We left and they worked for four hours to complete the transformation. When we returned, our house had been given a substantial makeover and looked terrific.
When our house went on sale, we received numerous compliments from realtors and their clients about how good it looked. Most important, in less than a week we received and accepted an offer. Maureen's work played an important part in our success.

Unfortunately, this move takes us to Seattle, WA so we will not be able to work with Maureen on our new home. We were so impressed with her work and what she did to our space, that we will be hiring for the same service there.

We were so pleased with what she did for our house that we hired her to give us some decorating advice in our new home. For a reasonable fee (she gave us a discount off her usual $75/hour fee), Maureen came for 2 hours and walked room to room with us, offering suggestions about placement, art, and other decorative items. She was personable, thoughtful, and we have already taken many of her suggestions.
All during the process, Maureen was exceedingly professional and supportive. If she didn't answer her phone, she always responded promptly (think hours, not days). And then (she will know exactly who wrote this), right before we were due to close, we had a snafu with the sale and thought it might not go through. In a panic, we called Maureen to cancel our furniture removal date the day before, thinking the house might need to go back on the market. She was totally understanding and cancelled the movers, only to get a call from us the next day saying that it looked like it would go through after all. She rescheduled the move for the following week TWICE for us, calling in some serious favors the second time. And then we learned that there was yet again a miscommunication and the closing was for 24 hours earlier. As we had a very difficult buyer, we had no flex on that end. Maureen was already booked for a job on the day it needed to be removed, and, late on a Friday evening when we were desperate, said she would come in over the weekend, move the smalls, and rescheduled her very busy mover to have everything out on the closing date. This was in no way convenient for her but again, I cannot praise her professionalism enough--She went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. Maureen saved us, there is no other way to put it. And all this is in addition to the fact that she is an amazing stager whose advice and staging I am positive helped sell our house in 3 days. Use her! You won't regret it.

The home was only on the market 2 weeks before it sold; due in large part to the expert staging by Room Solutions. They were able to make sense of a couple awkward areas in the home where a poorly planned addition had been added in the 80's. The staging made it flow and gave the space purpose.
We will definitely use them again.
