Margery Bare is the best real estate broker I could've asked for. I had met Marge a year before while attending a home buyers class with my cousin who was also looking for a home and Marge was her broker. The class was very informative and I liked her spirit, so I decided to use her as my broker too. She is very patient, listens, understands the needs and fear of the 1st time home buyer, and just a genuinely nice person.
Even though I had attended other 1st time home buyers courses, did counseling with a local non profit, I was still not prepared for the unfortunate interaction I had with the bank that the non profit suggested. If it had not been for Marge's support and willingness to help, I would have backed out of the home buying process. She has a great network of professionals that are also wonderful at their jobs. Marge was never pushy and always went at the speed that we wanted.

While not our broker, Eric turned out to be so aggressive, unprofessional and mean-spirited that we decided to drop out of a deal on a house we dearly loved and wanted as our family home. We would have happily bought the house had he not decided to make the process so awful for us-- it was a terrible experience and it became clear that he would do everything in his power to ruin this for us. We believe he shopped our contingent offer for a better one instead of just being honest and working with us to come up with a solution that would work for both parties. This after the house sat on the market for 4 months with little interest. While I know real estate deals can be contentious, I have never experienced this type of behavior before buying or selling homes. There are a lot of really fabulous realtors out there in PDX-- after what we went through I feel I can say that Eric is not one of them.

He was excellent. He was a great agent. I would happily recommend him to anybody else. He worked fairly quickly. He was in touch with us even when he was out of town. We always felt like giving number one priority to him. I would use his service in the future too.

It went wonderfully. Jude is an excellent, excellent Realtor. She really knows her stuff and completely breaks the stigmas and stereotypes of real estate brokers with her earnestness, wisdom, and objectiveness. I couldn't recommend anyone higher than her. She was extremely patient, even though it took us so long to finally find the home we really wanted. And yes, we still love our house and are very happy we took our time and had a Realtor with a saint's patience. Jude rocks!

We were referred to them by a friend. We didn't pay them anything. We bought a house which was paid for by the seller. Our only concern was that we didn't feel they were sensitive to first time home buyers' needs. That was our specification. We probably would not use them again in the future.

We searched for about one year with our agent, Byron Twyman. He fielded all our queries with professionalism and was available 7 days a week by email, phone and text. We felt we got very attentive service and good guidance with no hard sell. The daily email link we received contained an invaluable depth of information, was easily navigated and allowed you to save information - we spent 80% less time driving around as a result. We found a property that best fit our criteria, but had many problems, too. Byron helped us sort through the issues without bias and then continued to guide us through the offer process, the inspections and, finally, the closing. As inexperienced home buyers, we were pleased and impressed with Byron's expertise and honesty. We would readily recommend him to any anyone searching for a home in the Portland area.
