Dirk Hmura for Lee Davies Real Estate

Born and raised in Portland, Dirk made the transition to real estate following a stint in the crazy high tech industry. The hi-tech meltdown of the early 2000’s brought great opportunity when Dirk teamed up with his friend and former listing and buying agent, Lee Davies. The rest let’s just say has been history. Dirk and Lee have worked hand in hand building the team concept; from selling 18 million in ’03 to 25 million in ’04 up to 44 million in ’05. Coming from corporate America, Dirk found the small business aspect fascinating. Wearing multiple hats and truly having a say. Plus, the love of homes and Portland; it was an obvious move. Dirk was already a bit of real estate groupie before joining up with Lee – yes, he too frequented open houses on weekends and prided himself on knowing the price before grabbing the flyer. Dirk now is a Diamond Platinum Level member of the Million Dollar Club – the highest designation. He finished 33rd out of 6,000 realtors in 2010 and is on track to finish that high again in 2011. With half of his sales handling listings and the other half representing buyers, Dirk works in all aspects covering the team. He is a Lead agent on his own listings, handles the inspection negotiations for the other buyer and listing agents, is the primary contact/decorator on the team for remodeling/staging/repairs, and is an avid Buyer’s agent. Dirk is the main “tour guide” for out of state clients and frequently gets the call from Nike and OHSU on recruiting trips. Just over 40 years in Portland has allowed Dirk to see the ever changing landscape of the Northwest and the surrounding areas. Dirk thinks area and market knowledge are key. He has a bit of a “Rainman” memory in me when it comes to homes and prices. A graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, Dirk excelled in sports earning All-American honors in soccer and currently holds all the University’s scoring records. He laughs…it was nice going to a small school. Married to his beautiful wife Leslie, together they have 6 ½ year old boy and girl twins. In his down time – Dirk enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, golfing, hiking and playing soccer. Now that the kids are a bit older, he also coaches their soccer teams and volunteers as much as possible at their elementary school – Findley Elementary.
