They were good. It was a reasonable amount of money and they were fine. They came when they said they would and they did a good job for what they did.

To their credit, they've stuck with it and finally fixed it (I think.) Workers have been consistent and conscientious. When baffled they let us know what the problems are. Unfortunately their office seems disorganized (at best): billing issues; some problems getting schedules right. Bills have been generous. Still waiting resolution of my questions on those. So it goes.

We have used DeTemple on multiple occasions in our condo. They are always conscientious, on time, have good ideas and solutions, etc. We are happy to call on them over and over again.

Plumber couldn't find the house, so with calling and me going out to the corner to wave him in, he started late (not a big prob for me). Small jobs got fixed easily. Washer problem involved taking apart a pipe that broke as he worked on it. He called me down to see it and it was old (old house), so not his fault. He replaced the pipe, fixed the leak. Toilet, he inspected and declared there was too little flow for an adequate flush. Adjusted the water quantity. During the summer, the Water Bureau told us we were using water at a rate double that of the prior year. Had another plumber - same company - come and he said the toilet was using way too much water. (I was not home that day, or I'd have mentioned the previous water flow adjustment.) This fellow readjusted the flow. It never flushed well enough so we got another plumber.

Ken Gash was the Technician who came out, and he did such a great job. My 1996 stainless Kohler faucet was just fine, so I took the other new faucet back - it was the angle stops and supply tubes that had a bunch of debris in them, so he replaced these and some worn out gaskets and put in a new levered stop that would more easily let me clear out any future debris. I have screaming fast pressure now and my sprayer with just as much power.

They were on time and very responsive, overall good. They always send great workers to do the work.

Even though they knew they did not do the type of work I needed they sent out an David Rothe to give me advice and information as he happened to be in the neighborhood. He showed up on time, was super nice and knowledgeable, gave me some very good advice and said he would be very happy to go over any quotes with me if I needed further advice. I wished I could have hired him but will keep them in my phone book for future plumbing work.

Everything went smoothly from the phone call through the payment of the bill. I was very impressed with Tom's professionalism at every step. I won't hesitate to call again if further plumbing problems arise. I have always been nervous about plumbing issues, but Tom has helped me to feel much more comfortable about such problems.

The service went quite well. They were prompt. They made suggestions to improve some things I wanted to do. They did a state of the art installation. The workers are very professional.

I called DeTemple after finding them on Angie's List when the irrigation pipe broke during landscaping work outside my home and I had to shut the water to the entire house since I could not find separate shut-off. This happened close to the end of business day, DeTemple could send somebody only after hours at a rate of $131.93/hour, but I was running out of time and agreed to the rate. The person came on time and spent 2.5 hours installing separate shut off valves for the house and the irrigation system. He found two water pipes going to the house and, thinking that one was dead, did not reconnect it and just cut it off. By the time he was done it was getting late, he clearly wanted to go home, he grudgingly agreed to have the water flow tested in the house but was impatient for it to be done quickly and be gone. I rushed from bathroom to bathroom as fast as I could in my 8th month of pregnancy, turning on the water to see that it was flowing and had to rush to let him go. I paid for 2.25 hours of work and 0.75 hours of travel at $131.93 per hour plus parts. When the plumber left and I was about to have my son take a bath I realized that the master bathroom that has the only bathtub in the house does not have cold water, only hot water. So, no bath for the kid, no shower for me, no water for the toilet. Apparently the pipe that the DeTemple plumber cut off was bringing cold water to the master bathroom. I called DeTemple again the next morning, the same plumber arrived and had to redo EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN. It seemed that he could not just reconnect the pipe he cut off yesterday but had to redo everything from scratch and again spent 2.75 hours working on it, charging me $87.95 per hour since it was during business hours plus parts. He "kindly" did not charge me for his travel time this time. I felt taken advantage off but did not have time to argue since we had to get the landscaping project finished before the new baby arrived and I did not have time to deal with plumbing. I do feel that if I were not 8 months pregnant and busy with a toddler and my husband were at home to supervise the work, the plumber and his company would have treated us differently and did not charge us for the work that they had to perform twice because of their own mistake. I don't think I had to pay for the 2.75 hours it took to redo EVERYTHING that was done the day before if only one pipe of several had to be reconnected. A few months later when I had to shut off water to the house I had a test of the new system and found it very inconvenient--the shut off handle is parallel to the ground and to shut off the water I had to turn the handle into the ground, meaning I had to dig into the ground first in order to be able to move the handle--something that took a bit of time and effort and was quite unpleasant and uncomfortable to do, especially outside in the rain with the wet ground.

It went very well. I received another bid from another company who was much higher. That other company said that I also had to do a lot of other extensive work. Detemple said all I needed to do was replace a small piece of pipe. They were able to save us a lot of money and fix the problem. We would use them again for future service.

It was unsatisfactory. I liked the guy that visited the house, but I couldn't get them to prepare a bid. ($2,500)

Their representative from DeTemple came on time as requested for the above work. However the problem with a water filter has occurred again. We do not have anything but hot water or cold water from the kitchen faucet--they do not mix for warm water. The cold water is very slow as it goes through the filter. During the last visit Michael replaced the water filter--the filter that lasted only a couple of weeks when the filter packages inform us that it should last for up to 6 months. In response to the latest water flow problem, I called De Temple again--that was three weeks and four telephone calls later. They called back once, after the first call, and I was not at home--since then I have called four times with no return telephone call. I was informed that they had the wrong telephone number in the computer, and could not change it. Until now I would have given them an A or B--after these three weeks, It goes to an "F" for frustration!

Monday I called several other companies closer to our location and was told they were unable to get anyone out until the end of the week. Called DeTemple just before 4:00 Tuesday afternoon, they scheduled someone out at 7:00 a.m. the next morning. Very happy with their response and service. Will continue to call them for our plumbing needs.

They are excellent. We have been using them for years for heating, AC, and plumbing. We know we can depend on them. They have good response time.

You should make sure you're clear as far as expectations for clean up.

Excellent service, sometimes they can't come out right away because busy.

Brian Hill, the project manager / estimator came to our house on November 7th to give an estimate on re-piping. He said he would have the estimate to us on the 12th. I left a message for him on the 15th asking about the status of the estimate. I did not hear back from him. I called and spoke with Brian on the 19th and asked when would we be getting his estimate. He was quite brusque and said he would try to email it to me by the end of the day. As of November 28th we still don't have the estimate from DeTemple.

For the second time, Detemple did a simple job with dispatch and smartly. The new toilet, replacing an inefficient, clog-prone model, went in within 90 minutes. The plumber, Ken, was clean, considerate and easy to work with. The price was in the ball park.

Detemple was recommended by a neighbor. We called them and after we told them that this was not an emergency we agreed on a date and time within a week. At 7:00 sharp as agreed, John came and fixed the problem within half an hour.

Went very well. First of all the plumber was very close to estimated arrival time. Plumber was quick, energetic and efficient. He brought in a bag of tools and new materials and proceeded to work. He cut out and removed old pipes and joints. Installed new ones that would perform better. No problems in getting installation done. In about an hour it was done. He removed old materials, did testing of new installed pipes for leaks, cleaned up work area and was a pleasure to deal with.

Bottom-line, not only did Detemple respond to my need I am very please with the total cost. I was expecting $250+ especially since many plumbing companies penalize you for travel time . They used upgraded brass faucets (they weight a ton, not that cheap junk) and used brass connections/pipe fittings. Thank you Jason, Steve and Detemple! Next time I ll call you first.

I had called a few other companies but they were booked. When I called Detemple they came out within thirty minutes of my call. They did a temporary fix that lasted through the spring time and explained how it would be premenatly fixed at a later date. They just recently came and made the permanate fix and everything works great. They knew exactly what they were there to fix did a great job fixing it. The one glitch was trying to get ahold of them to come out the second time. The receptionist had said the plumber would call right back, and it took about four days to receive the call. I thought this was a long response time, but it may be standard for plumbers.

We called DeTemple on a Wednesday about our motor making a terrible noise and they sent someone out on Thursday morning to look at the furnace. The technician found the problem and replaced our motor. It worked great till the next morning when the noise started again. I called them back Friday afternoon and they sent the technician back out (without charging overtime) to see what happened. Basically the fan caught a wire and cut through it. The fan was fixed again within 15 minutes and has been great ever since! I was very pleased with how I was treated and that someone came back on Friday night at 7:30 and I didn't have to pay extra.
