Dave and his team did a great job. They were very pleasant to work with and did fine work. They respected our home and kept us informed throughout the project. It was a positive experience hiring them. Daves prices were fair, and costs stayed very close to his bid.

I highly recommend Dave and his team. He was friendly, knowledgable, and forthright in the initial consultation. Dave provided the suggestion to install a bigger window--I hadn't realized that it was an option. And I'm so grateful for that suggestion. His friendly and professional team did excellent work, cleaned up the site, and completed the job in a timely manner. That part of the basement went from a throw away space to my new office. I'm so grateful for the transformation of the space!

If you just need an egress window done, the recommendation for using Daveâ s team would be higher, though you can find other reputable people to do an egress for a lower cost. We hired Dave to do our basement egress window and other basements remodel work (reframing of a bedroom, build-out of the closet, a demo of the bathroom, install can lighting, etc.). When we first met Dave we were told all about how weâ d be the only job heâ d be working on, how there would be official change orders for anything along the way, and many other project management type details that made us feel like he knew what he was doing. None of this turned out to be true. What we think happened was that we started the job when work was slow due to COVID. Since work was so slow, he offered and agreed to do (and quoted) some of the basement remodel stuff, but when work picked back up, our project got put on the back burner and we think he regretted agreeing to do the work outside of the egress. It started out poorly with our start date being pushed back a full week and Dave going MIA and never communicating that with us, despite us having texted and called multiple times. Once the job started, Dave thought we changed the scope of the work, but it was the project we had talked through the entire time. Admittedly, we did change our minds on one or two things along the way that weâ ll take responsibility for. Ultimately the project took four more weeks than expected and we never saw a single change order. We asked to see cost estimates multiple times along the way and never did (though the pricing came in at an expected amount at the end). Dave was a poor communicator, dropping more than one ball in our opinion along the wayâ hence the delayed project. The work outside of the egress window scope that was done was shoddy at best. Outlets and light switches were all installed crooked so they look bad against the wall now. They mismeasured the closet so we had to fix it after the fact in order to hang the doors correctly. Dave ordered the wrong size door for the bathroom which we just had to live with or else delay the project an additional week and a half. The list goes on and on. It seemed like there was a novice approach to some of the craftsmanship and the minimum amount of effort was being put forth so they could call it finished. The communication was pretty bad from our perspective and we ended up spending a lot of energy trying to manage what was going on, who was coming when, and what was happening on which day since we never knew. Dave was a very nice human, but in our opinion talked a big game and severely underdelivered. An example of biting off a little more than they could chew at the time.
