The whole experience from ordering the service on Angie's list to scheduling the work to having the heater tuned up went flawlessly. I will do this every year.

worker was friendly, on time and thoroughly checked all parts of my furnace to make sure everything was in working order and that no parts needed to be replaced. He talked with me through the process and gave me recommendations for things to tend to when the weather gets colder.

Technician was polite and professional. Service went fine, no issues.

They did a great job. Brian answered all my questions ahead of time. The guys who did the installation were prompt and efficient. I was impressed that at the end of it they already had the paperwork ready for me to request the tax rebate and to get the rebate from the furnace company. I would definitely use them again.

Technicians showed up on time. They were only there about 30 minutes, but I guess for $69 this is what you get. I felt like this was a just a quick inspection based on the coupon price. The technicians were friendly; it just did not seem like they were doing a thorough job. I've had my furnace cleaned at my old house and the technician was there for 1-2 hours. Technician was there for just a few minutes and then he opened the door to our house and asked to use the bathroom, which was fine. A few minutes later the door opened again and he wanted to get some water from the sink. Just seemed unprofessional.

We had scheduled a furnace tune-up with Comfort Solutions after seeing a coupon here on Angie's List, as the blower motor in our furnace sound just a little bit off last year. The technician who came out to perform the service started the work, and then after a while indicated that he had found our heat exchanger was cracked. The nice thing was, he was able to show us the cracks by extending his mirror inside the unit, so we knew what we were dealing with. The technician shut off the gas because of the risk of carbon monoxide the cracked heat exchanger presented inside the home, which I'm actually grateful for (and even more grateful it wasn't that cold outside at this point). So there's the introduction to why we were getting the furnace. After some evaluation of other companies' installation services and the different furnace brands, we decided to stick with Comfort Solutions and get a new high-efficiency furnace installed to replace the 19-year-old 80% efficiency furnace. The price quoted by Comfort Solutions was in line with my past experiences in prices for new furnace units, which is why I gave a "B" there--it wasn't the greatest price in the world, but it was completely reasonable. They were able to fit us in for installation quite quickly, and gave us an expected time of arrival. The installation technician arrived about 45 minutes after the communicated start time, which is why there's a "B" for punctuality. To be quite fair, though, it's a drive from Clackamas to Hillsboro and the traffic can be a mess, so it wasn't a big deal. The installation went well, and the technician communicated the basics of the furnace's operation well also. The physical equipment installation (including the unit, inlet and outlet pipes, and lift pump for getting the condensation back outside) is very clean and well laid-out. The thermostat installation that they did for this was also great, too. Overall, with my obsessive-compulsive approach to how I want things to look, I'm really impressed. Now that we've had the unit running for a week in this cooler weather, I can say that it runs quietly and keeps the house warm, which is a testament to the quality of the installation and of the unit. I appreciate Comfort Solutions' being willing to take care of registering the furnace with the vendor, and their doing most of the work in filling out the paperwork for rebates on the unit as well. In summary, I'm very pleased with the work Comfort Solutions did, as well as the courteousness of their office staff throughout the process, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others who are looking to have similar services performed.

Could not be more happy. No up sales, lots of informative and constructive conversation about best practices for use and maintenance of the AC system.

First let me say that Comfort Solutions was the only company that I called that could come out within a day of my phone call. The 3 other companies I called were all booked out for 3 or more days. Even the company that installed our system couldn't fit us into their busy schedule. Comfort Solutions sent Marshall over to see why our 7 year old Carrier system was not heating anymore. He looked over our whole system including our A/C just to see how everything was set up to work together. He made note of serial numbers and asked several questions. Marshall found the problem, a tripped reset switch, and had the furnace up and running in about 20 minutes. However, he was concerned about why the reset switch had tripped and so he stayed longer to see what would have caused that. It turns out that we had a plugged secondary heat exchanger which caused our furnace to overheat and thus trip the reset switch. When I asked how much a new secondary heat exchanger would cost, Marshall explained that his office would take care of calling Carrier and asking if that part was still covered under warranty and that we would be hearing from Susan by the next day. Susan called the next day and said that Carrier would cover the cost of replacing the secondary heat exchanger and the cost of installation since it was a part that they were having problems with. Great news and I didn't even have to hassle calling Carrier myself! The only downside was that they had to order the part from Carrier and it would be about a week before it came in. Luckily the weather was not too cold and a couple of space heaters kept the living areas tolerable. When the part came in Susan called again to arrange a time for installation. My husband and I were leaving for vacation for a week so we had to arrange an install time when my son could come home from school to let the technician in. It was finally decided that Monday, Oct. 13th after 2:30 would work. My husband and I took off for New England and left my son home to take care of the house. About 4 pm on the 13th, I called home and asked my son if the repair person had come yet and he said no. So I told him to call Susan and ask her to find out what the delay was. When my son called back 10 minutes later, he said that Susan called him right after we had talked and she said that the tech had run into a problem at the job before ours and he was running really late and they needed to reschedule because replacing the heat exchanger is a 3 hour job. I called Susan from Vermont and explained that my son's schedule was really tight that week and he had made special arrangements to be home on Monday to meet the tech and that our house is also undergoing a remodel and the contractor had scheduled painting, tile and trim work to be done the rest of the week so this Monday was really the best day to get the furnace work done, otherwise there would be too many people in the house getting into each others way. Susan was very understanding and called back to say that the tech would work late and be at our home about 5:30. I thanked her and sure enough, Jason showed up and worked late to replace our secondary heat exchanger. We are back from vacation now and our furnace is working great! I appreciate the excellent customer service that Comfort Solutions extended to us and we will absolutely call them again should we have a problem with our furnace or A/C.

They were on time and completed the service. They met my standards and were very professional. They were easy to make an appointment with, and the guy explained to me what he was looking for.

Great job, professional. We have an older gas furnace and last time the tune up company did a big push to try and get us to replace it even though it worked. This time, none of that pressure. Said even though our furnace was old it was still operating at 75% efficiency, which isn't terrible. Appreciated the honesty. Will use again.

I cancelled the service because they were not on time.

They came on time, and everything turned out great. I have an odd size air filter and they didn't have those, it would have been nice if they had them.

Fine. He was thorough and informative.

For the most part it was GREAT! The only thing was that when it came time to change our filters, he said he doesn't carry that particular size with him and had he known the size ahead of time he could have brought them. This wouldn't be an issue with me except that I had asked the woman I scheduled the appointment with if there was any information she needed prior to the visit and she said "no". This was disappointing. Again, overall the tech and customer service was pleasant and nice people to work with. I would recommend them.

I hired them to check my furnace on the house I had just purchased. It was quite old and the heat exchanger was cracked. I had to buy a new furnace. They sent me 3 recommended products via email. I made the decision overnight and called them the next day. They came the next week and installed the new furnace. They showed up on time. All went smoothly. Really excellent service all around. Could not have asked for better. My sister is now doing major work with furnace/central air. She is also an Angies List member and will be hiring them. As I said I had just moved into the home and wasn't thrilled to have to spend the money so soon. They really helped take the sting out.

It went pretty well except that our air conditioning pump failed. I don’t think that they caught it during their initial inspection. They were pretty fine. They seemed to know what they were doing.

This company is AWESOME! They are very knowledgeable, efficient, timely, and we would ABSOLUTELY use them again! They even looked at my air conditioning system and helped us start our fireplace. They did it ALL and were FANTASTIC!

Communicated very well to organize a time at my convenience. Kept me updated on the day of service and requested permission to arrive early. Service technichian was polite, clean, and thorough. Just what I needed to reassure me that furnace was ready for winter and good for several years to come.

He called to see if it was alright to appear before his appointment time. Went to work immediately. Soon had the furnace running properly, and then spent significant time cleaning the electrical contacts, the burner, and other parts of the inside of the furnace.

After needing to reschedule twice, the provider offered me a free furnace inspection on top of the air conditioner inspection that I had originally paid for. The service was done in a timely fashion and would definitely recommend them again.

Arrived as scheduled, tuned up furnace but called back for issues. Issues were fixed and no further problems. Would call back again.
