When my landscape contractor dug around the water meter to install the irrigation and backflow valve, she uncovered an old, rusted repair to the galvanized water line. I called American Plumbing before 9 a.m, and they sent a man within 20 minutes. Because my landscaper had already done a locate for underground lines, they were able to do the work the next day. They arrived on time, and the work was completed in 6 hours. The boring company drilled a new line about 70 feet under the lawn and crawl space and into the basement, about 1 foot from the old line. The drilled under the sidewalk for the irrigation, too. The plumbers laid furniture pads to protect my floors, and cleaned up after themselves extremely well. Since this company also does backflow services, we spoke about doing the backflow test at the same time. This didn't get on the work order (my error as much as theirs) so it wasn't done. But--they came early the next morning.

The job was split into two parts to coincide with kitchen cabinet refacing. Part one was removal of the existing sink and disposal, part two was installation of a new sink and disposal. The work was done professionally and quickly.

They were great! I was able to schedule within a few days of when I placed the original call. I hadn't purchased all the parts because I wasn't sure what was needed, so Jason had to come back a week later with the washbasin and the garbage disposal switch. I'd totally recommend them to anyone needing a quality job done quickly and with no hassle.

Excellent. Tony got a plumber to my house within a few hours of my call and was able to nail down the arrival time so that I could limit the amount of work I needed to miss. The plumber, Mike, arrived promptly. He was very comfortable to work with and very professional. Mike fixed the problem very quickly and his workmanship was impeccable. Prior to his leaving he patiently showed me how to drain the line in the Winter so that I could remain worry free. In addition to great work, their solution to the problem was simple and cost effective. Thank you APS. This is my second positive experience with APS and I will undoubtedly call them again for future plumbing needs.

I was very pleased with the service from American Plumbing Services. I have used several different plumbing companies since moving into my home 3+ years ago. I haven't called any of them back when I had another plumbing problem. American Plumbing arrived right on schedule, so I didn't have to wait around home all day waiting for them. The plumber was very friendly and courteous, and neat (as in leaving no mess). I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and to recommend this company to friends and neighbors.

Turns out that our hot water heater problem was one that we caused ourselves by turning up the heat too high. Jason from American Plumbing listened to me explain the events that led to the leak and they graciously explained why the leak happened and that the hot water heater was doing what it is supposed to do when it gets too hot. He made sure everything was in working order (water turned back on and the pilot light lit) and then told me he would not charge me and caulk this up to a learning experience. I will definitely call American Plumbing back next time I need a plumber.

American Plumbing responded swiftly to what began as a plumbing emergency when my usual plumbers couldn't fit me in. My remodeled bathroom pedestal sink was leaking (spraying) at some juncture on the cold water side under the sink. My usual plumbing company had just installed the pedestal sink and finished fixtures a day before, and it was supposed to be ready for use; it wasn't, and I had guests visiting from out of state and that was my only bathroom. American Plumbing fixed the problem promptly!

No complaints. Friendly, fast, and did a fine job on the repair.

We called right after the New Year to report a leak in our basement coming from underneath the tub. They came out to look the very next day; gave us several options for fixing the problem. We could have scheduled that week to do the work, but we couldn't be available that quickly. We scheduled the next week and they came in on Monday to do the plumbing; they promised to have the sheet rock done that afternoon, but the sheetrocker couldn't get there until Wednesday. This wasn't a large concern to us - it only inconvenienced our cat, who had to be locked in a back bedroom for two days instead of one. The important part was the job was done, we love our new bathtub fixtures, the wall is sheetrocked and ready for us to paint. Because we are Angie's List customers, they gave us a 5% discount off the bid price. We are thrilled.

I contacted the company via email and received a response within 24 hours. They made an appointment for the same week and called to let me know when Jason would be arriving. He explained what he was doing and offered tips to avoid the problem in the future. I walked him through future projects and he offered me the name of another Angie's list member for some of the work. He cleaned up after himself and was very professional.

The technician was very good! He was timely, didn't spend a lot of time yakking away, the expense was pretty normal.

The challenge here was the timing: Christmas Day! The disposal had been leaking for several days, maybe a week. I kept a pan under it to catch the drips, thinking someone could come "look at it" soon. Then on Christmas Eve we started bailing water from the sink and from the pan underneath. Running the dishwasher was a mistake as all that water backed up into the sink. I called American Plumbing and left an SOS message I didn't expect anybody to come on Christmas Day, but hoped to get on their waiting list quickly. On the 26th, I called again, and was told I'd have to wait until the next day. The person at the desk hadn't had time to return all the calls yet. Jason came promptly on the 27th, had a supply of models from which I could choose, and unplugged a stopped up toilet as a bonus! He was wonderful, skilled, prompt, and fun. What a blessing to find a dependable plumber that charges fairly!

I called American Plumbing Services and left a message with a description of the work desired. My call was returned in 15 minutes and an appointment was scheduled for the same week. I was offered the opportunity to receive an estimate before the work was done, but opted to just have a plumber (Jason) sent out to complete the repairs. Jason arrive on time. We walked through the job I wanted done and Jason offered suggestions on the best way to get the job done right. After the walk through, Jason began the work and was finished before I knew it. I was in the middle of remodeling my kitchen and Jason noticed a new dishwasher in my living room. He offered to hook it up, but I still had some work to do and was not ready to install. He took the time to show me how to connect the line and gave me his card and said to call him if I had questions when it was time to hook up. I would recommend American Plumbing Services to friends and family in need of plumbing expertise.

We were having a 10 gallon/minute water leak somewhere between the house and the meter. We called American Plumbing Services after finding them on Angie's List. The work done was great. The company sent someone out the day after we called them. They were right on time and called before they arrived. They did a thorough job determining what the problem was, and because our shutoff was hidden 6 feet down it required a bit of extra searching for the plumbing. They came out the next week and did all of the work, they were clean and organized. They explained what was going on at each step, and cleaned up after they were done. You can hardly tell that there was a major plumbing job done. I would recommend them to anyone who needs reliable plumbing done.

We had a drip coming from the upstairs bathroom into the kitchen. Jason came out on time the next morning and gave me a rough estimate of between $600 and $800 to take down the tongue and groove ceiling (he said they would not be able to put it back together) and inspect the pipes. He was not sure what the cost of the pipe repair would be after that. Brian called me shortly afterwards and scheduled us for the next day. He re-arranged their schedule because he knew we were without a shower. Victor and Karl came the next morning on time and went straight to work. They were polite, explained everything and were very professional. Within about four hours, they were done. They had carefully removed the wooden ceiling panels, replaced the rotted pipes, and fixed the drainage pipe connecting to the claw foot tub. They took pictures of the dismantled ceiling and after they left, Brian called to give me information about a general contractor who could put our ceiling back together.

When I called to schedule work, the receptionist was very upbeat and friendly. She was able to schedule me for the following afternoon. She was also very helpful about exactly what time to be there (it was a 4 hour window), telling me that I was the 3rd call and helping me determine a realistic time to arrive. As it is a rental house of mine, that was especially nice. I was told that the service person would call when he was finished with the job before mine, and he did. He arrived promptly after that and repaired the shower quickly and well.

Great! The plumber arrived on time, was very professional and was able to quickly find the problem and fix it. I would definitely call this company again and have already given their number to several of my friends.

We're neutral on American Plumbing's service. On the negative side, even though we have seen Hansgrohe products in all the high-end bathroom fixture stores, neither Jason nor the folks he called from his company were able to understand the problem, seemingly because none of them were familiar with Hansgrohe. Jason attempted explanations for the problems, but he was incorrect. On the plus side, after explaining to American Plumbing that we did not receive any benefit from their service and another plumber fixed the problem, they did not charge us for their time.

Just fine. Jason showed up promptly, was very polite and friendly, worked quickly, gave me the option of whether to replace the filter (an extra $40 charge), and showed me what to do if it happened again. He also showed me how to clean the other faucets and how shut off the water to the house--a good thing to know!

Work began promptly and proceeded quickly. Staff were all courteous, clean and responsive. Overall, everything went very well. American Plumbing's estimate was about 10% higher than other estimates received, but the other plumbers were not able to perform the work as soon.

I think these guys are single-handedly trying to change the stereotype of plumbers. They were responsive, punctual, and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I called and left a message on a Saturday. Early Monday morning I received a call back from Tony. We discussed what I wanted. To accommodate my schedule, we arranged for Jason to come out and do an estimate the following Saturday. Jason arrived when he said he would and proceeded to spend nearly an hour, discussing not only this job, but several future jobs I'm planning, repeatedly telling me to take as much time as I needed and ask whatever I wanted since this visit was free. Early the next Monday I received a written estimate and we set up an appointment for the following Friday. Mike and Jason arrived on time, did everything described in the estimate, and made a point of cleaning up thoroughly when they were done. We're very satisfied with American Plumbing and intend to use them on our next job.

Great. Jason arrived about 15 minutes late, but he called to tell me he was on his way. He was professional and did what was expected.
