It was great. They scheduled me quickly and came when they said they would. The whole job took only 3 days and they cleaned up very well afterward and none of my plants were damaged. They were able to get me a higher quality of shingles as well with just a slight increase in price.

Remarkably well. Initial roof install was seamless though complex. Subsequent leak did not emerge immediately. When they did, Rufus showed up and stepped up. The leak was corrected, and Rufus has covered the cost of tearing out the ceiling, insulation and one wall of the sun porch as well as the south facing wall in our dining room. Within two weeks of the interior down pour, all work was completed-new wall board, new ceiling, painting and carpet. Aylwin was a class act from start to finish on this and this was a complex install. All contractors that worked to get our house back in order as a result of the leak hold both Aylwin and Rufus in high regard - I echo that sentiment.

It was really fast. When they bid it out, they told us it would take them 4 days to do it. Their work was really high quality, they are courteous, conscientious, and their work was seamless. It all had to match the kind of house we had, all the 'shiplap' had to be modeled after 1910 and match the good parts. They were also very creative with the molding/they could swap out some molding. They were very conscientious of our costs as well.

It went very well. They arrived promptly. They worked efficiently and finished on time. The crew that came out was very friendly and nice. There was no mess afterwards, they cleaned up very well.

We were very, very happy with the work, the people, the quote, the price, the speed, the cleanup and the final bill. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

It went very well both times and they responded quickly and they took care of it on site. They told me so problems that might be in of some concern.

They took a sample shingle to match for color and texture and did an excellent job. Two workers finished in one day.

Mike came out to do the estimate and was very professional; we had bids from two other companies; we had a bid for a fascia style gutter, however, the prior company neglected to tell us that we would not be able to install fascia gutters on our house due to some clearance issues. Mike was very thorough with explaining why we couldn't do the fascia gutters. He also suggested that we install a gutter over a garden window; there wasn't a gutter there and the water would cascade down from the roof onto the garden window. Overall we were very happy with the price and service.

Greg responded quickly to my request for a quote, met me at my home and gave me a written quote before he left. I called him back two days later after a couple of other places I called said they wouldn't get to me for more than a month. This was a small job, so Greg fit us into his schedule and did the work about a week after I hired him. His crew were competent, polite and neat. There was no trash left behind and they even cleaned the gutters. I was up on the roof today and (although I don't know much about roofing), this job LOOKS more professional than when we re-roofed a different portion of the house a few years ago. Greg was easy to work with and flexible. I would definitely hire Aylwin again. They provided a 15 year workmanship warranty.

Great tear off and clean up. They finished 90% of my roof. They took off and didn't contact me. 3 days later I called them and wanted to know the status. They said the work was done. They sent a guy out 2 days later and he only finishes half the work left. I call again and they say that the job is done. A guy comes out to pick up the check and I have to show him that vents don't have flashing. He sends out another guy a day later to finish it. I go to mail out the checks (they make you send 3 different checks) and the itemized checks don't add up to the original amount!!!! Then get this, the day after I mail them my checks we get a really hard rain and guess what, the chimney flashing leaks!!! I have to call them back. They come out and do some caulking?!?! I had to keep calling them over and over and they kept insisting that the job was done. There is very poor communication in this operation. 2 day job took 14 days.

They did a very good, neat job. It did take longer than expected because of the heat, but they successfully completed the job. Interestingly enough, I found out later that they were all family. They did an excellent job at the lowest price I could get. I was suspicious at first of the price, but they had excellent records with both the BBB and the licensing board. They asked me to pay the labor separately and pay the shingles directly to the supplier, which I found a bit odd.

Very satisfied with entire process. Kenny quoted the job and oversaw the entire process in a timely manner, keeping me informed at all stages of the job. The crew was efficient and polite and the clean-up the best I've ever seen on a major job of this type. The entire process took less than two days although they had to come back to do the chimney flashing.

Very positive, talked to Rufus on phone, send him the inspection report, he promptly send his service man, gave me no bull quote, finished the job very next day.

Got a quote the same day I called to request one. Work started the next day and was done in 1-1/2 days. If it weren't for the rain delay, I think they would have had it done in one day. Roughly 2300 square feet of roofing. Nice price. Nice timing. Nice roof. Nice guys. Would do business with them again.

Estimator Mike as well as Bruce and his crew were very responsive and pleasant to work with. They did good, fast, professional work and even spent some time to unclog some drain pipes. Gave B for price simply because I don't know how good it is; none of the other three companies contacted provided estimates.

We first heard of them when they did the house across the street. Rufus' son came by quickly and gave us a good overview of our options. After we signed on with them their workers were quick to show up on site and worked fast, but with good quality. One of them accidentally stepped off a rafter and punched a hole in the underlying ceiling, but they fixed this quickly and did a good job on that as well. Our only issues with them are their clean-up wasn't entirely thorough and they never came back to pick up their advertising sign.

When I called Bruce, he said he had never heard of Angie's List. He said he wasn't interested in just doing repairs. He was extremely rude. He was only interested in doing large jobs.

After a recent rain and wind storm, I discovered a leak in my roof. I called Aylwin and was told they would try to get someone to me ASAP. Within a couple of hours, a subcontractor called and came right over. He discovered a loose flashing around the gas vent, took a digital picture of it to show me, and fixed it right away. The next rain came and I had no leak!

I initially had some trouble with the salesman that came out to give and estimate and such. I could never get a hold of him and getting the subs out to my house took a while. However once the job was actually started it went well. After the job was done someone else came out to inspect the job. I mentioned that there was a problem with the venting on the roof, the inspector told me to write a check for materials, and to Aylwin construction, but don't write the roofer a check until they come out to fix it. A few days later the changes were made, I paid him and everyone was happy.

This company is great! Very responsive, reasonably priced, easy to work with and professional. I would use them again and recommend them to my family and friends.

They had given me an estimate to replace the fascia and gutters. After looking at the roof, Bruce said he did not have the people to do the fascia work, but that he would have someone come look at it the next day. I have not heard from the company, Bruce or any representative since. He has not returned any of my phone calls. I feel this is extremely unprofessional. The company representative that gave me the estimate is the one who said I needed to replace the fascia and then the company did not stand behind their word. I took time off from work to be at home to meet with Bruce. I would not recommend this company and I would be worried that they would not follow up after the work was performed.

Aylwin was very good. This was a high roof in a tight space and not an easy job. Employees worked hard and all of them seemed to be skilled at their tasks. They completed the work in a timely manner with good quality. They missed a small section of fascia that needed replacing. I called and pointed it out several times, but they never quite got around to fixing it. This was fairly minor, however, and I am happy with the job over-all.

They were amazing. The entire roof was replaced and a sag fixed within two days. The owner of the company was on-site the entire period, ensuring the work was thorough and accurate. I appreciated the effort they put into repairing the sag, which was quite a challenge as it involving replacing beams and adding supports. The roof is beautiful!

Rufus and his crew were great! They were fast, courteous and when we were ready to have the work done, they had a crew available. They did the work in two days and did a fine job of cleaning up afterwards. They gave the lowest bid for the job.

They were very professional and a pleasure to work with. The job site was left spotless and they did not trample any plants.
