Klam came out and put on a new roof for us. This was our first experience with a roofer and overall it went very well. We had 4 bids and theirs was by far the most detailed. They were the only one to go up in the attic beforehand to address what was going on. Abel took the time to explain the details and why they wanted to add each item to the bid. They came in as the highest bid, but I felt some of the others may have left out some of the details Klam had included so we went with them. They were able to schedule us a couple of weeks out and were on time and completed the work within the estimated time frame. Roofers worked hard and cleaned up each day and our gutters were cleaned at the end. Tip-The only thing I would say is to make sure you have any concerns addressed before the roofing starts. We had a question about maybe trying to save some plywood and I thought we might given a call mid job with an update on the condition and then a chance to say yay/nay. However the roofers used their discretion and removed it. It wasnt shady as this was already part of the bid, I just had preconceived notions, having never done this before. Overall though the roof looks great and I would recommend!!

I would give Klam Construction 10 stars if possible. From the owner, Abel, to the crew and office staff, especially Glenda, this is an A-1 operation! Abel gave us a clear and detailed estimate, and stuck to it. Although he was one of the 2 least expensive estimates I received, I am positive I got the best quality materials and workmanship possible! The crew was very professional and cleaned everything up each day. I will never use another company and have referred them to all of my friends! Thanks, Klam Construction, for a job well done!

Got my roof replacement done a couple weeks ago. Out of all the roofing company reps that gave me an estimate, Abel was the only one who insisted on taking a look at the attic to make sure there were no issues from the inside. Also, he was the only one to explain in great detail the what,why and how of all the work that was needed to be done. The work was completed on time, on budget in two days with no surprises. We also got additional vents added to the roof and got the skylight replaced at about the same cost as the estimates from other roofers, which did not include these two. The crew made sure the landscaping was properly protected and thoroughly cleaned up everything by the time they were done. I could not have asked for more and would definitely go with Klam Construction again.

Klam installed the safety hooks with very little notice. I also appreciated that Klam came back to check that the shingles were not damaged and that the vents were still open at no extra charge when the painting was completed. I am writing a second review, because I think it is a real plus when a contractor is responsive after a job has been finished.

They replaced our roof which included tearing off 4 layers and also dealing with a difficult flat roof area on a dormer. We were very impressed with the team...the cleanup was very thorough and the end product was beautiful! Would highly recommend.

In a word, GREAT! As a highly experienced roofer himself and owner of the company, Abel immediately inspired confidence during the initial visit with his obvious expertise, honesty and passion. This was a refresing contrast to the uncertain and slightly "greasy" feeling we got from some of the other companies that only sent out sales reps. I'm sure those companies are fine roofers but a big part of this process is quickly establishing trust. For instance, Abel was the only one that insisted on looking at ALL of our attic not just the easily accessible portion. As a result, he found a significant black mold problem (which he showed me) and added 40 sheets of plywood to his bid that the other guys would have surprised us with later and, of course, charged extra for or, worse, ignored the problem completely leaving us at risk of a big expense down the road. As for the work itself and the experience with everyone else at Klam, ours was similarly excellent to all the other reviews here so I don't need to comment further. We feel great about our new roof and know we don't have to worry about it for the next 25 years with Klam and Owens Corning both having our backs if a problem ever arises. Do yourself a huge favor and give Abel a chance to earn your business. We're sure glad we did.

Klam Construction completed our roof on time, on budget and the whole experience was thorough and professional from the initial inspection and bid to the final inspection after the job was completed. Owner Abel's team was very careful about the plantings we have near the house and did a great job of cleaning the site at the end of each work day. They worked safely and completed the roof on our house and also the roof on our shop in three days. These guys know what they are doing. We would definitely hire Klam Construction again.

In a word, outstanding. Abel, the owner came to our house to provide an estimate. He spent about an hour taking detailed notes and measurements and pictures of what was involved in the project. He even went into the attic to see if there were any issues that he could not see from the outside. After his inspection he spent another 45minutes explaining what needed to be done and how he would do the work. His detailed written proposal arrived promptly as promised. His crew arrived exactly when scheduled. The crew leader, Manuel was very skilled and professional and keep us informed as they worked. There were five men on the crew. Everyone of them were friendly, competent and were careful to protect our house, and landscaping. The house had very difficult access, the men had to hand carry all the material up to the roof and the waste a long way to where the dumpster was located on the street. They never complained, just went about the job in a very professional manner. They had to remove 4 layers of old shingles, install new plywood over the entire roof, install install new flashing and repair three areas on the roof that had water damage. After each 12 hour day the cleaned up the area so it looked like no work was done that day. KLAM has a lot of positive reviews and from our experience they are well deserved. We are completely satisfied with everything from initial contact to the finished new roof including our contacts with Katie in the office. One would expect to have to pay a premium for this quality, but the quote we received from KLAM was considerably lower than the other bids. When the final bill was delivered by Abel there were no surprises or add-ons. We recommend KLAM Construction without any hesitation.

We had Klam Construction replace our roof a few weeks ago. I had a handful of people come out to quote, and their bid was somewhere in the middle, but it included adding a few skylights and a lot of additional venting in the attic, so I felt like it was a good price. Abel spent a few hours at my house, went into the attic and went over everything with me - I felt totally confident that he knew what he was doing and they would do a good job. His crew worked hard and even worked late when they ran into an issue with our roof (most of the roof had rotten plywood, we had to replace A LOT of plywood. It was an added expense, but I am glad they did it and didn't just put a new roof over rotten plywood like the roofers before them had). The roof looks great, and after spending all last winter dealing with and worrying about leaks, I am very happy to have a roof that I know is really solid! I would (and already have) recommend Klam Construction if you need a new roof!

I hired Klam Construction to replace my roof. Abel the owner came and did a thorough check on the roof and from the attic. From the three companies that I called, Abel gave the most detail estimate, he also mentioned possible cost for replacing more of the wood under the roof. We got scheduled the next week, and completed in 3 days. The crew came around 8AM, and stayed till about 7PM, cleaning up after the day work. Very happy with the result.

Just finished up a roofing project with KLAM. I took 14 bids while deciding on a company. Abel took the time to do a thorough inspection. His bid was comprehensive and incorporated 12 extra sheets of plywood (which his competitors said would be added to thier bid if it was determined needed). If the material was not needed they would be removed from the bill. Even with the extra material incorporated the bid came in much lower than his closest competition. The work was completed on time and on budget. Great experience from start to finish. Honest respectful, and fair. I'll definitely be reccommending KLAM to anyone that needs a roof.

My new roof is a work of art, with every shingle meticulously placed to complete the perfectly symmetrical pattern. Even the driver delivering the roofing materials commented on how extraordinary that can be in the roofing business. Klam construction stands out for other reasons as well. I chose them because they had only top reviews on Angielist and Owens Corning preferred contractor site. Abel, the owner, also is a top level Platinum installer for Owens Corning which entitles his clients to their best warranty. I also researched Klam with the BBB and checked his CCB # with positive results. One of the factors that sealed the deal for me was Klam's attention to detail. Abel went into the attic spaces and on the roof before making a detailed drawing of the work to be completed including extra ventilation that other companies did not include. Ventilation is one of the most important pieces to having your roof last. During the roofing, Klam took extra care not to damage my fragile driveway. Finally they replaced a few cedar siding pieces that were hard to find at no extra cost. In summary, I couldnt be happier with my new roof and highly recommend Klam construction as the best value for roof replacement . You will be hard pressed to find another company with such high reviews on multiple sites!

Abel, the owner of KLAM Construction, was the only roofer, among those who estimated my project, who pro-actively requested to see not just the top side, but the under-side of the roof (both in my attic and in garage). He noticed the beginnings of a moisture problem in my attic, emailed me photos, and installed extra soffit and roof vents to correct this problem. Once I had hired them, they were able to accommodate my specific scheduling needs, even though the work was done in March, when schedules sometimes need to be changed because of the weather. The roofing crew worked hard, were respectful, and left the place clean.

Excellent company, excellent job. I got 5 bids, this was the best price and fit gut feeling wise. Abel, the owner, is a stand up guy - I trusted him and his knowledge and experience and the kind of people he would have on his crew. Wow, those guys meant business! Everything flowed in a very precise way, it was really well done, and nothing, I mean not one scrap, was left after cleanup. Total pros. I was worried about a few things, so Abel went up to the attic and took pictures while crawling around on those narrow beams so I could understand what he was talking about. This company does work on big subdivisions, but they treated my house like it was the same price as those 500,000 ones. Don't wait till you've got a whole bunch of plywood sheets to replace,it adds to the price. And go with the one you trust. I'm really glad I did!

Beyond pleased and happy with every step of the project! Abel and Katie were wonderful. Answered every question throughout the process, were readily available to keep me informed. Crew took extra precaution to protect my landscaping. Anything they needed to move (birdbath, hose reel, garden wagons) were returned to the exact spot. Thoroughly cleaned up the yard and driveway of smallest debris. Project could not have gone any more efficient or smoother. Quality workmanship and quality customer service. Other than weather delays went very smoothly. Got 3 bids for the roof and all came within a couple hundred dollars of each other. We actually had plywood under the shakes which surprised us and Able of Klam reduced the price by a couple grand (which he did not have to do and which I would not have even known about if he did not mention it). That was a nice surprise and the reason for an A in the professionalism category. Other than that the roof looks good with no problems (so far). On a side note my wife was very impressed on how nice the clean up was after the work was finished.
