However, the time showed Steve indeed exceeded what I could expect from my previous experience with other realtors. First of all he has integrity, you can trust him. He never tried to push me or motivate me to buy this or that house. It takes what it takes to choose the right one that fits your needs and feels good as well. If you need to check 314 houses before you buy, he will help. He didn't just showed me houses, along the way he also gave me a lot of useful information about the market, about a lot of small thing you have to know when you buy a house, about managing an maintaining a house. And he is just a very nice and friendly guy. Excellent job, thank you Steve.

Steve was a referral to me from a friend and I'm so glad they referred him! This was my first time buying a house and from start to finish, he was absolutely amazing. He has so much knowledge of the Portland market and was so willing to educate me along the way. He is highly organized, very responsive and knows his stuff! On our first meeting, he spent two hours on a Sunday with me just getting to know me, what I was looking for and explaining the process of buying a house. He kept me calm through the whole process and helped me make sure I was making the right choice for myself. He was patient with me, especially with some of my undeciveness. When he was unavailable due to vacations, he always provided me a colleague's contact information to help with anything in his absence. Even after I closed and moved in, he's been a great resource for all those first-time home buyer questions. He is absolutely the best there is in Portland!!

I have collaborated with Steve several times over the last year and I find both his process and results exceptional. I am completely confident referring Steve to potential clients who are interested in having their dreams come true: home ownership.

We had one meeting with Steve. During that time he informed us he would be on vacation for the next 2 weeks, and that he would hand us off to a trusted colleague who would answer our questions and help us out during that time. This was just bad timing on our part, but we were not impressed with the responsiveness of the colleague. His colleague was too busy, and wanted to hand us off to someone else when we asked to see a specific home. He also missed emails, which kept us from looking at a home in time to make an offer on it. In short, this colleague wasn't as trustworthy to us as Steve seemed to think, and at the end of Steve's vacation we thanked him for his service and told him we had found another realtor to work with.

He helped all the way through from suggesting estate sales contacts to landscaping services and interior cleaning which he paid for out of his own pocket (we did reimburse him). He was always where he needed to be without ever needing to be asked to be there. Busy guy but he gave us the feeling we were his only clients - plus he knows the business from A thru Z. A true journeyman in the trade. As soon as we closed on the deal we were already talking about the next sales we needed help with.

Steve just kind of walks on water. He is knowledgeable, honest, very personable, insightful, dedicated...should I go on? He sold my mother's home and there was a multitude of family drama situations, but he handled everyone with great finesse. And, he read the market and offered the house at the exact price which would push the sale. We were all thrilled. Would I use him again..of course! You really don't have to look farther for a more honorable real estate agent.

I gave Steve my keys and he listed my house. It sold within a couple of weeks and we closed on time. He is a very professional man when it comes to his job and he has exceeded all of my expectations when it comes buying and selling my homes for the last 14 years or so.

Steve came to us as a referral from my son, who arrived in Portland not knowing the city at all. He was introduced to Steve, who quickly suggested some areas and then showed Kevin the perfect house. The transaction was handled without a hitch. When it came time for us to buy, we had a similar experience. Steve helped us through the paperwork jungle that is modern real estate, and found us a very suitable home. He is efficient, courteous and professional, as well as being friendly. There was no attempt to sell us a property just because it was his listing, or get us to up our price range, or compromise in any way. He is also very helpful with referrals to tradespeople and experts in various fields, as well as being well acquainted with the financial dealings. Steve Gray is the best friend a house buyer or seller could have.

We hated the realtor for our first house and so we interviewed several realtors before buying our second. Steve is dedicated to you. Even though he is insanely busy, he picked up the phone every time we called, answered emails within an hour and scheduled home visits at all times of the day to fit our schedule. There were three big things Steve did for us that made us enjoy working with him: - He took a lower commission than other realtors (not sure if he still does that, but it helped) - He gave us a binder full of 'comps' (comparable houses that sold in our area to evaluate the value of our existing home). The other realtors wanted to protect their comps and wouldn't show us the work they had done. Steve just gave his research to us to keep. - He wasn't pushy at all. Other realtors wanted us to commit to them on our first visit. Steve encouraged us to interview other realtors and pick the one that fit us best. He also never flinched when we wanted to see ~10 houses before finally picking one. Steve has kept in contact to give us references for handymen, roofers and landscapers. He has also sponsored charity events we were involved in. We'd definitely use him again.

Excellent. Always available, on-time, knowledgeable, provided excellent advice. By far the best in the business. Wonderful, sincere personality.

Steve is amazing! He is honest and extremely knowledgeable. Every questions we had he answered immediately or made sure to find out as soon as possible (sometimes within minutes). For every house that we wanted to see he was always on time waiting for us with all the details he had about the house. And he would never rush, spending a lot of time with us inside and answering questions best he could. He handled all the paperwork and negotiations with no delay and always consulting with us.The whole process was flawless. When we first contacted him, he set up two hour appointment. He went over the whole process in great detail explaining everything. This was very useful since most people do not know all the details involved. He told us at the beginning that we should not rush and find the house that we really like. After viewing bunch of houses, we found ourselves only talking about one house all the time (that is exactly what he told us, once we start talking all the time about just one house, that's it). So, we decided to go see it again. This was Saturday afternoon. Long story short, offer was accepted Sunday evening!!! We will use him as long as he is working as real estate agent. We highly recommend him.

Steve is by far the best real estate agent we have dealt with. We approached him many months ago, interested in scouting out possible properties for a family member to live in, but which would also be a good long term investment. Our first surprise was when he told us, "don't buy yet unless you need to -- I think the market will still go a bit lower". I still wanted to see what was out there in our price range and area, and he was totally willing to spend a half day looking at things just to educate me -- printed up the info etc. We were not quite ready -- had another piece of property to sell -- no pressure, no calls (delighted by that!). Suddenly our other property sold, and we called Steve to look in earnest -- and boy howdy, he was there for us at every turn. At one point, when we were already very far into the process, I had an eleventh hour concern -- was there a closet upstairs? Steve was at our home until 10 PM (he stopped by at 9:30 to get our signature on some papers), but went to the house AFTER that to take a picture, which he then immediatley sent to reassure me that indeed there was a closet (but told me he was reassuring himself -- thats how gracious he is). He did a lot of work on this sale, even though it was of very modest scale. Lots of other things, but basically, start to finish, Steve was just wonderful. No pressure, good advice, goes the extra mile.

He is excellent. He is the one everybody is using for real estate. He is extremely honest. He is direct with his customers and gives full disclosure. He does not do things just to get a listing or to make a sale. He can be trusted. I would absolutely use his services again in the future.

The sales and purchase and interaction with seller's agents was excellent!. Steve gets the job done, he stays with process until it is completed. There was some repairs that needed to be done on the house purchase, which he negotiated on our behalf successfully and arranged for these repairs to be completed and inspected prior to closing on the transaction, (excellent service)
