Everything went smoothly. The new skylights were flat glass and much quieter than the old bubble plastic skylights. I haven't had any problems with them since they were installed. No more leaks!

We recently had our skylights replaced by another company.  Unfortunately,
they were not installed properly which led to bugs entering the house. 
Mark came over, went on the roof, removed the skylights and took pictures of
the gaps and leaks which he reviewed with us. Mark and his assistant filled the
gaps with wood strips and caulked the areas as well.  Also, he pointed out
that the skylights that were installed were not the best quality. Mark gives
you several options.  Mark was very easy to work with and solved our
problem.

Spoke to the owner Mark in May via phone and sent photos of existing units to him via text message.  He verbally provided a cost estimate.  I told him I would wait to have the work performed until Fall.  I followed up with him in September and scheduled a time for him to inspect the existing units and confirm his estimate.  He arrived on September 21, 2015  and then was able to complete all the work the same week on September 24.  Mark is professional, efficient and provides a quality product and workmanship.  I highly recommend him.

Excellent. Mark and Tim were super responsive and did an excellent job. Mark and I first talked on the phone and he was able to get a sense of the house using Google Maps. He then came out and looked at my house, a few days later, and I picked the various types of Velux skylights for install. A few weeks later the skylights arrived and Mark and Tim came to install them. Super duper professional throughout. I will certainly use again (thinking of adding a fourth skylight at some point) and have recommended them to friends.

When for the first time we used our remote to open our new solar-powered shades letting the sun shine through our new Velux skylights, Mark had not only delivered the beautiful products he had promised, he found a way to do so weeks earlier than planned. He managed to use the Velux skylights without the extra cost of customization - our skylight cut out dimensions, standard for 1972, are NOT standard today. And he did so easily besting the conservative cost estimate he had given to us even before he came to our house to inspect the premises in person.

Mark's service is terrific for any number of reasons:

• - He is extraordinarily mindful not to waste his customer's time and money. He used satellite imagery of our rooftop and photos of our skylights  I messaged to him with my phone as the basis for his off premises estimate.
• - He is a great project manager. His estimate was very carefully constructed to include all contingencies, expertly and precisely calculating cost of materials, cost of labor AND the savings we will enjoy in the form of a tax rebate.
• - He really knows his product, has a great eye for the aesthetic decisions you'll need to make, for example suitable shade type and color options considering the existing decor, and he just loves what he does. 
• - Finally, last, but certainly not least, Mark has got great people skills. You will enjoy having him in your house. In fact, it was because of these skills and the high regard everyone has for him that he was able find a way to use product on hand for another customer to do our installation weeks ahead of schedule, all the while keeping to the promised schedule for that other customer.

In the midst of a long, hot summer, we love that we can dial the sun out with the touch of a button. We love our solar-powered shades and UV shielded skylights.

We just thought Mark was great from the moment we met him.  He is the real deal~words that would describe him would be professional, honest, smart, skilled in his trade and full of integrity, not to mention super nice.  He explained everything clearly and gave us options for new skylights, and did a great job of replacing them.  They are beautiful and keep the house cooler.  He also fixed the problem areas with the flashing around them and did such a great job with our large skylight as well.  He even taught us how to open it the proper way which we had never known.  He cleaned the big skylight which I had been unable to do just because he is so nice.
Mark responded to our request for a bid really quickly, and we knew he was the one to do it without getting any more bids because we liked everything about him from the start.  He came when he said he would, finished the job to perfection, and left everything clean and neat.  He and his sidekick (Ron?Rick?-sorry I can't remember!) were just outstanding.  We really enjoyed and appreciated the whole experience~thanks so much, Mark!

We had Mark replace a skylight with a broken seal with one that opened...great move!.  He did a great job and made the process so easy for me.  He was able to look at my house with Google Earth and provide me with a spot-on estimate without me ever leaving my office.  He fit me in his schedule quickly, arrived on time, did excellent work and cleaned up.  We have skylights that face both north and south.  The broken one was on the south side.  Mark said we would get better performance from the open skylight by putting it on the north side...so he removed the broken skylight, moved one of our north-facing skylights to the south side and then installed the opening skylight on the north side....FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE.  He told me he just wanted to ensure the best performance for me.  He was professional, friendly and a self-described 'skylight n***'.  He took the time to educate me about how the skylight worked as well as the airflow of our house and how best to regulate temps with the skylight.  Great guy...great service...I highly recommend him.

It went very well. He knows his business backwards and forwards and it makes you confident about the work they're going to do. Very knowledgeable and very fun! me and my husband thought he was fabulous. He definitely knew what he was doing.

We were impressed with the professionalism and work done by the Natural Light Skylight Co. Mark did an excellent job.

One of our 2 existing openable skylights had begun to leak and we needed to repair or replace them.  They were about 20 years old.
Mark and his partner replaced them with 2 new skylights with blinds.  The new skylights (and blinds) are operated with a controller and are powered by a small solar cell at the base of the skylight.  It took a couple of weeks to obtain the skylights from the manufacturer, and a little longer for a good weather day for installation.  The actual job was completed by Mark and his partner in one business day.  Mark showed me how to use the controller, which is quite user friendly.  The skylights look great, and having blinds to help control the room temperature on hot days is a real plus.

He was able to provide the skylights but not able to install them.  He provide the name of another contractor that could perform the job.

We had two old 5 foot by 3 foot skylights that had damaged frames.  I called Mark to get an estimate on replacement.  Mark came out to give me a quote and was extremely professional.  He showed me what was wrong with the old skylights and spent an hour properly closing and sealing the old skylights to hold me over until the new skylights were installed.  We accepted the quote, gave a down payment, and Mark ordered the new skylights.  When they arrived, Mark called me to schedule the install.  They got the work done in one day!  I am very happy with my new skylights and would recommend Mark to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, honest, and professional skylight expert.

We had s skylight that was leaking in two spots and he fixed it. This was a skylight that was installed when our home was built in the 90s. It was a mess. The fiberglass cracked and there was no saving it. We had a roofer say it could be salvaged. There was no way it could. We were skeptical and didn't want to spend ~$900 on bandaid fixes when the unit will need to he replaced. We called this company as they are specialists - they know skylights very well. I don't want a jack of all trades - I want an expert. I thought they were going to be outrageous as the roofer positioned themselves as the most cost effective option for skylight work. Not true. It took this skylight company about 30 minutes to replace the unit and overall this was the most cost effective option for us.

Mark was very professional and personable. He was punctual, addressed all concerns, and completed all work on time and exactly as quoted. He provided all information needed for rebates and energy credits. I have a concrete tile roof which had just been cleaned and inspected. Mark verified all sealing had been done correctly. I would definitely use his services in the future if needed.

I called inquiring about replacing 2 cracked skylights. Mark spent some time on the phone with me explaining different options and costs. We set up an appointment for him to come out to take actual measurements and look at our situation. I would have loved to get the solar-powered opening skylights and blinds, but they were just not in the budget. Mark was very knowledgeable about the products, options, and tax credits with the solar-powered units. We decided to go with the standard fixed skylights. Because both of our skylights were cracked, he worked us in as soon as possible. Mark and his partner were here a little after 9:00 AM the following Wednesday, and were done before 10:30. They put tarps down under both skylights and vacuumed up what little mess was made. It started lightly raining that afternoon. Thank you Mark!
