I called Kennedy Plumbing for a phone quote on replacement of our old leaking water heater. They gave me the price for the heater and the hourly rate and said it would be 2-3 hours. They did not mention all the extra charges (permit fee, supply lines, parts, etc.). Those "extras" added 15% to the expected cost, which makes it impossible to compare prices between potential plumbers. I saw the same complaint against this plumber by someone else while researching the job and discounted the feedback... On the plus side, they were here within an hour of calling for the job and completed it within 2-1/4 hrs.

We got the faucet off the main connectors by removing two screws. Then we could get the corroded hose fittings off the faucet. John took the faucet to the office but when he came back he could not get the original back in place without it leaking. A part was ordered, the house pipes capped off and we scheduled a follow up. It was said that the original faucet type was not available. When John came back he did a fine job installing the part that had been ordered... no issues there. However, in the meantime, without a great deal of searching, I was able to find a source for the original online for only about $40. The bottom line is that I could have turned off the valve in the faucet, waited until a new part arrived, turned off the water to the house and replaced the corroded faucet with a new identical one by removing only two screws, thus saving a lot of money and some sheetrock repair. Again the work done was fine, I just would have expected that they might have been more knowledgeable about how this faucet came apart and advised me as such early in the process so that I would have been able to have more options. They were very prompt on the initial visit (within a few hours of the initial call) and when an appointment was missed, we were kept well informed.

The plumber worked for exactly half an hour with various instruments, nothing worked. When he examined the drain with a flashlight he concluded that a solid metal object was blocking the drain and suggested I phone Apollo Drain and Rooter Service as they might approach it from the roof or ........ I did as he suggested, but he did not charge me for the half hour he did his utmost and cleaned up after himself. It was a refreshing experience despite the fact that I still had a clogged drain.

They were very prompt and I have no issue with the quality of the work, but I felt swindled! The estimate I received on the phone was for approximately $700 ($477-$500 for the heater and 2 hours of labor). I made the mistake of not asking for a more detailed estimate and the bill came in 30% higher. I will not use Kennedy Plumbing again.

They worked out great. They were just as professional as before.

A friend told me that Kennedy had the best price for backflow testing. I also selected them for a water heater replacement recently which they did for a great price as well. Their work was good, so I called them for a broken pipe and to do the yearly backflow test. As before, their response was quick, communication was great, and the work was done within 4 hours of my call. These guys are great and are now my official plumbers for the rentals that we manage. I highly recommend them.

Super job! a really nice and knowledgeable plumber!! saved me money by only fixing what needed to be fixed! diagnosed problem with water heater causing clogs in my pipes! I was very impressed. wonderful service!!

They replaced it OK. They wouldn't cover it up properly. It broke again a month later and they wouldn't talk about it.

The service was excellent. They came out, assessed the situation and gave us an estimate which beat all the competitors. They were on time and very personable making it a great experience.

The initial solution was to replace two broken parts. Unfortunately they weren't able to order one part independent of a new faucet. Instead they replaced the faucet. It was more expensive than I originally anticipated but it was also a bigger fix.

I called and immediately spoke to a person. They offered to come right out, but I arranged for a time slot a couple hours away. A man showed up, acted professionally, and did the work. A couple weeks later, the problem seems to be gone for good.

We will not use this company again and do not recommend them.

Even though I thought this was a small job, this company seemed eager to do it as they replied to my email in less than 24 hours. They showed up on time, fixed the problem and left, charging their normal hourly rate. Couldn't be simpler.

Plumber arrived at stated time and performed check in professional manner. We will continue monitoring situation to see that the remedy worked.

thought i had a broken pipe under the house due to a smell in the house. lars came out and investigated. good news is no broken pipe. charge was for service call only. lars was very thorough and professional.

Took approx. 30 minutes to do and done very well. Very professional.

Joel came over to give me an estimate. He was so thorough and answered my kazillion question and really educated me on the plumbing process. Derek did the work and was fabulous. He took the time to explain to me what was going on and re-figured where to put the main shut-off valve as we discovered there was no access in crawl space to laundry room where I'd wanted shut-off. Derek was so professional and nice throughout the day-long project despite the not so glamorous and many hours crawling around in the crawl space. I was quite impressed with his great demeanor! I paid approx $220 extra to have a toilet I purchased installed and a leak under bathroom sink fixed (nipples had to be switched out and new shut off valves installed). Derek completed this job in a timely manner after a LONG day in the crawl space. What a trooper! When we turned the main water line back on the bathroom sink cold water cartridge was damaged and leaked. Derek sent Lars, the apprentice, back a few days later and Lars fixed the leak. I was very impressed with this follow-up as it made the whole project such a pleasure. I was also impressed that Joel stopped by in the beginning of the day to make sure all was going as planned and explained a few more things to me. He said to call if any questions issues etc. I really love this extra attention. I feel like everyone at Kennedy Plumbing takes a lot of pride in their work. I will definitely use them for all my plumbing needs! Great company. Great people.

I will not call this Company for service again. I called because my faucet handle was broken. George took it apart, showed me what piece was broken, told me he did not have the part and then told me how to fix the faucet myself because he said it would cost me another $115.00 if he came back to fix. When I called for service to get a faucet handle fixed I assumed that they would be prepared with parts to fix a faucet handle (my mistake). The next day, after getting the parts needed, I called and again requested they come finish fixing at no addditional charge. They (George) still advised it would cost an additional $115.00. I declined and spent the afternoon fixing the faucet myself. Instructions/diagrams for the repair came with the parts.

The plumber called 15 minutes before the appointment, and said he'd be there at the exact appointment time, and he was there exactly on time. He proceeded to attempt unclogging the toilet with an auger but his auger got stuck and would not come out. He said first time that ever happened. He had to remove the toilet and as he did we saw "something" fall out and into the drain. Since there was a 2ft horizontal run before the pipe went down the wall, the "thing" that fell out stopped a few inches beyond the 90 degree turn. He used a flashlight and mirror to figure out what to do. He fished out a shower wall suction cup that must have flipped into the open toilet after popping off the shower. He finished in exactly the time he said. He put a new wax seal and water line on and even re-caulked the bowl to the floor laminate. His labor time was rounded up to the next quarter hour but I don't think this was unexpected. Very happy with the result. I only wish he had used something to line the bowl with, as the auger left a few scratches in the porcelain.

We called the company on Friday afternoon, after determining that the laundryroom faucet that we planned to install was going to require more expertise and tools than we had. The supply valves under the sink had not been closed for about 40 years and were corroded beyond functionality. Because there was no emergency, we were scheduled for the next Monday morning. Jorge arrived on schedule and after assesing the situation, determined that the valves needed to be replaced, as well as the drain pipe, which was also corroded. He set about the work replacing the valves and pipe, and installing the new faucet, finishing everything in good time. Because we are on a well and the water is high in mineral/iron content, we asked if he would have time to check the status of 4 toilets that were showing symptoms. He agreed, and replaced another old set of supply valves and the inner workings of 3 of the toilets. The 4th in his opinion was not worth the time to fix, and advised that when it developed problems we should plan to replace it. One of the others is also fouled with the minerals and iron, and will just continue over time to go slower and slower. He advised us to think about eventually replacing it as well. We appreciated his professional demeanor, and his honesty in not insisting that we replace everything immediately! We are very pleased to have the new faucet, and fully functioning toilets!! He was pleasant to work with and we will call him for the rest of the job when the time comes.

This was a big project, requiring four days of work. Jorge and his apprentice Lars (I think that was his name, my apologies if not!) arrived on time every day and were courteous and helpful. We have a 90-year old grandmother living in our house and they were very gracious in their ability to work around her need for running water. New supply line was installed without digging a trench, very nice. They did more than just replace existing pipe; they made the plumbing better by cleaning up some old convoluted installations. They laid tarps to protect the floor, and cleaned up every day. We had running water every night after they left, so that made the process much easier. Jorge was very informative as he worked, keeping me updated on everything that was going on - I learned quite a bit about how to plumb a house!

I was very impressed with the Plumber from Kennedy. He fixed the problem and gave me a few additional tips. He cleaned up after himself and made me much more comfortable about my home's plumbing. I would definitely hire Kennedy again.

I believe the job went well, I live in California but my Oregon realtor said every thing appears to be fine now. I really liked dealing with Cliff, he explained everything to me in detail so I could understand what needed to be done.

Kennedy Plumbing set an appt for between 8-10am. Jon showed up at approximately 8:20am. He was extremely courteous and respectful. I appreciate how he immediately took his shoes off when entering our house. He inspected our areas of concern and knew immediately how to handle this issue. Jon was very knowledgeable. While working our the task at hand, I questioned him about other plumbing projects and received very detailed answers. Jon was also able to detect the damage and potential issues it could cause. He got the job done and wrote an itemized report. We would definately call Kennedy Plumbing for future projects.
