Adrian's Quality Fencing & Decks

Andrew was prompt in returning a call to schedule the appointment to come and measure the job. He hand delivered the bid before leaving and indicated the approximately start date was a week out. Andrew's customer service skills were available to all involved (me and my neighbors). The day before the actual start date, the workers (who finished the previous job early) arrived to unload material and get a head start on post hole digging. The team of two were professional, friendly and had an eye for precision. The job was finished within two days and the end result is to be enjoyed for many years! Thank you! Shortly after receiving Andrew's first bid, I lost more fencing during the fierce winds we received in February. While the original work was under way, Andrew came out and gave a 2nd bid: 37 LF of 6' high solid cedar with one STD round top gate with 3 copper top decorative caps. This work was also completed effortlessly and the end results are stunning. Thank you again!

I would give them the highest ratings strait down the board. They showed up exactly on time and were ready to work. They did such a great job that I had about ten neighbors ask me who did my fence. They were really amazing. I thought they were respectful, professional and reasonable all in one visit. I would have no problem recommending them.

I spoke to a company representative on my first call. The estimator (Andrew) came out the next day, we discussed what I wanted to have done and how best to do it. He wrote up an estimate on the spot. When I called a few days later to schedule the job, it was scheduled about 1 week out (quick service). The fence looks great, and the clean-up was faultless.

They started a day earlier than they said which was good because the next day was supposed to be very wet. Very nice guys to work with, they did a good clean job.

I would say it was overall pretty good. There were a couple of hiccups on communication, but we got most of it ironed out. They did install the the style of gate I did not request, but I really didn't care so I didn't complain. They did show up on time and they were the only one who I quoted who broke out the quote so I could easily figure out what portion my neighbor's fair share was.

Service was prompt and follow-through was good.

The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. The finished product is an excellent example quality work. More than anything I appreciated the thorough and timely communication; something that is very rare for contractors, from my experience.

The work crew (of one great builder) and the estimator arrived on time. The work began around 9:00 a.m. The builder worked all day long, without bothering me, and finished around 5:00 p.m. When he left, everything was cleaned up and there stood a beautiful new section of fence.

All in all, I can really recommend Adrian's to others. We have a strong, beautiful deck that will last as long as the house.

Adrian was punctual when he came to bid the job. His bid was higher than the two others I obtained and when I told him he lowered the price somewhat on the railing and added an upgrade on the vinyl inserts in the fence for the original bid price. The fence crew worked incredibly hard during bad weather and on difficult terrain to get the job done quickly and properly. We had security issues and Adrian responded by getting on the job as soon as possible. The railing took longer because they had to measure the curves, bring partly finished sections to the site and complete the welding before taking it back to the pain shop for powder coating. They railing crew cut a low voltage line during the pre fab and they repaired it before completion. Adrian and his crew's work reflected the best in old world craftsmanship.

Company representative Andrew came out as arranged while I was at work to take measurements and left a bid for me to look at. I arranged for him to come out again while I was home to finalize the plans and also so I could give him details on exactly where the back fence would be placed. This was very important because it would be in front of a ditch at the back of the property and behind a row of Japanese Holly shrubs. We agreed on the placement of the fence and gate. I agreed to prune the shrubs back almost to the ground. The installation was done while I was at work. I came home to find that the fence was installed in front of the shrubs. I called the company and emailed my complaint per Kathleen's request. Kathleen suggested a repositioning of the fence but because of the ditch I didn't want the soil disturbed anymore. Andrew called and I asked him to remove the shrubs from behind the fence so I wouldn't have to maintain them.

Great on the cedar. So-so on the steel.

The estimate was scheduled promptly upon the first call. The installation was scheduled according to our needs and even rescheduled to accommodate the completion of our HOA permit process. The job was completed in a timely fashion. The workmanship and materials were satisfactory. The work was completed diligently, and neatly. The workmen were respectful of the two properties involved. The fence looks handsome and matches the fence on the opposite side of property as we requested. I rated the price a B because it was fair and I wasn't looking for bargain work. This report is delayed only by my procrastination. The work was actually completed in August at the peak of fence season. They were very commendable on Adrian's part.

We were very pleased with Adrian's Fencing. They did an excellent job on short notice. They were prompt and professional, assisting us where problem solving or flexibility was necessary. We would not have discovered this company if it weren't for Angie's List! We would recommend Adrian's to anyone without hesitation!

The installer used 8-foot posts instead of the required and requested 10-foot posts, so fence style was compromised and I had to settle for something different. The fence was not stable due to pouring concrete on extremely rainy day than not waiting until concrete was set before nailing boards and rails to posts. Gates sagged out of line 2 mos. later, and they sawed off part of the gate to fix it instead of replacing the small, inadequate hinges with larger, heavier duty hinges. They have very poor communication skills, internally and externally. Neither owner nor manager ever contacted me to discuss installation problems; they only sent a 15 yr old boy to handle it for them! I had spoken to both owner and manager prior to the sale, but after that, I only had access to the phone receptionist and 15 year old who came out with the non-English speaking installer. Customer communication is sorely lacking at Adrian's. The installer blamed the problems on the manager! Clean-up was not good.

They did a very good job at a good price. They finished when they said they would and did a good clean up job. They solved some minor problems we added to the job and did not charge us to do them.

After researching Consumers Reports on best decks, I discovered that EON had the characteristics I wanted. Adrian's is one of the few EON deck suppliers and experienced builders. He supplied references. I was very impressed with the quality of the decks I visited. Given the materials cost for this deck, his bid was very fair. His crew was on time, on task, and highly professional. Adrian maintained good and positive communication with me throughout the process. This was an exceedingly pleasant business transaction. I highly recommend Adrian's decking construction skills and business practices.

I was told that they were "too busy to do such a small job" and to call back in 3-4 weeks. Appreciated the honesty, but have found another company to do the job.

I went through Home Depot, and they used Adrian's as a subcontractor. They showed up on time for both the estimate and on the day to install. They were awsome to work with. They did the whole fence in two days. They worked fast and did a great job. The fence looks awsome. I couldn't be more happy. They ran out of cedar boards on the second day and had to come back another to finish. I came home one day, and they had already done it. Like I said before, it was an awesome job. We have recieved a lot of compliments on it. The price was right in there with 4 or so other estimates that we recieved from other contractors.

Andrew was very prompt with the original estimate and easy to get a hold of when I had further questions and changes to the job. The entire job was completed in one day. Sam and his helper were prompt, tidy, and very pleasant. I am very pleased with the work they did.

Two men arrived with all the materials and tools needed. The deck was completed in one day as promised. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. The builders were very cordial and answered any questions we had, as they worked. We are completely pleased ,with the appearance and quality of our deck.

After receiving the bid I was told it would be 4-5 weeks before they came to rebuild the fence. Four days later they called and said they had space in their calendar and would I like them to come the next day. I said ''yes.'' The crew were punctual, friendly and very professional. My new fence is excellent. All my neighbors have commented positively. I recommend this company and will hire them again to replace the rest of the old fence. With the high quality of their work and the lumber used, the price was very reasonable.

They did come two days earlier than expected. They called me, but did not inform my neighbor. I would hire them again.

Adrian came out to give me a bid and was less expensive than other bids. In addition he was respectful and flexible to changes in the job. He provided a bid that said what I had asked for. On the day of the job, they came promptly and finished in the time they said they would (2 long days). They cleaned up after themselves and built beautiful well crafted fences.

Called and left message that I was interested in having a fence built and I have never received a return phone call. I think this is very unprofesional--if you are too busy call back and say so, don't just ignore the prospect. Bad business!
