This project was done in a very efficient manner. From Bob who came out and gave us an estimate and explained the process to the crew who came the following week. Hot weather has started and we can feel the difference in the house already. I would highly recommend Specialty Insulation!

Terrible customer service. The project was rescheduled 3 times. The installers were scheduled to come at 10 and showed at 2:30 and didnâ t call. I paid a deposit of half and was promptly billed for the balance. I requested the paperwork to submit to Avista 3 times so far, itâ s over 2 weeks later and I still donâ t have it. I called today to say I would pay the balance as soon as I received the necessary paperwork. I was told by the woman answering the phone that she didnâ t work in that dept but would send another email. She was flippant and made no effort to help me resolve the problem. I would not use them again or recommend them.

I've had ice dams for years. I finally researched it enough to realize it was an insulation problem (I wish I had been smart enough to figure it out sooner). Anyway Speciality Insulation came out and gave me a truly reasonable estimate. The technician found an uninsulated heating pipe, missing batts, in addition to the original find of inadequate insulation. They fixed all of that. I have a room that was perennially cold, it's warm now, no ice dams and I am sure my gas bill will go down. They cleaned up after themselves and were very pleasant people. Very pleasant, efficient and did what they said they could do for an affordable price.

Honest and prompt testing

We needed an asbestos test on our old vinyl flooring before installing new floor. I used Home Advisor because I had no idea where to start. Specialty Environmental was prompt with their service and provided exactly what I needed.

700 sq foot cabin to be demolished. No occupants. No concerns about damaging the house, or protecting inhabitants. Testing cost over $2300. My contractor claims their workers were gone after 90 minutes. They claim they *left and came back* - from a remote site that takes 45 minutes to drive to? Took a total of 1/2 a yard to disposal. Charged another $4400. If you want to grossly overpay and get treated poorly when you inquire about excessive charges, then these are your guys.

They responded very quickly to my initial contact. I spoke to a field person right away and met with him 2 days later. I received the asbestos report that I needed 2 working days after that. Everything was handled very professionally and timely. I am very satisfied with the overall service.

I was told falling tiles in my basement ceiling were probably asbestos and could find no one to deal with it for me. Turing to my faithful helper Home Advisor I got a list of abatement companies. The Specialty Environmental Group returned my call right away made an appointment for the next day and rushed my test to get an answer almost right away. I have no point of reference as to their pricing but it did no seem drastically high and well worth it for the peace of mind. Oh, by the way, we had no asbestos.

Cole was very polite, educated about ancestors procedures and disposal, and provided reference upon request. I Had my house tested for asbestos. He was able to visually inspect some areas to determine if they needed testing and saved my $$. The pricing was reasonable ($150 to come out, $35 per sample). The trading was done locally at a third party lab and I recieved my results before the week was over. some of the samples came back positive for asbestos, but I was not pressured to do abatement immediately. I did ask for a quote though.
