So I walked into work Wednesday morning to discover that a stamp had leaked red ink all over my desk staining the leather writing section. I was absolutely furious that my personal, and expensive, desk at the office was basically ruined. After I did a quick search, I found By George! Furniture Repair. I called George right away to see if he could help me and how soon. George answered right away; he explained that there were several things he could do to remove, or at the least heavily lighten, the red ink from the brown leather.
Thursday morning around 10:30, George showed up at the office with tools and chemicals in hand. As he was working with the different lotions and solvents, he explained everything very well. He was able to remove several spots completely and drastically lighten the worst spot. The removal chemical did leave a white haze on the leather surface; George tried diligently to get the white haze to dissipate, but wasn't successful. I told him not to worry. I would wait a few days to see if it just wore off or if some polish would make it go away. He did say that he could get it to go away with some lacquer if I wanted it gone sooner than later; he was very honest he didn't know why the haze was there, but was very willing to return to fix it (at cost).
George even showed me some great furniture polish/treatment to help with the wood doors at the office -- bonus!

Because of the mass weight of the table, he did all work on it in my home. While it took him awhile to inititally respond and come out to finish the work (it took 2 visits), I discovered the reason was because he is in such demand throught numerous cities in Oklahoma (he was going to Lawton the day after my job), both through customer recommendations and through contract work from Ethan Allen. He did a fantastic job, and I would definitely call him again in the future.

He did a fabulous job. No one could ever tell any repair had been made. It is like a new couch.
