JI was told the job would take a week. It took a month to complete. The owner, Josh, did not do the work himself but sent other employees. The first three days were uneventful and slow but on the fourth day when painting was to start I sensed trouble. The first few doors sprayed were not the color I had chosen and the guys had not yet created a spray room like I was told would be made in the garage but began spraying anyway. I called Josh about the color and he told me the color was correct and it would cost me to change. The next day the painter showed up and first thing he said was "I checked the paint color and it doesn't match the sample, I dunno what happened." Josh called me and started again telling me the color was correct and he'd not charge me for repainting the 4-5 doors they'd done but I'd have to pay for the correct color paint. I did. It cost me 200.00 more. The painter announced he was having one of the worst days of his life and was leaving early. I went out to find the plastic he'd hung had fallen down from the weight of the paint and paint was covering the garage door opener and chain track. He smoked in the garage and left the butts all over. Because a proper spray room wasn't created my cabinet doors had bugs, dirt, dust stuck on them. Touch up was done but the over all quality is fair. Drips, runs and chips that were touched up are visible still. I told this guy not to bother replacing the door pulls as I was getting new. I went to get the old pulls and found they were gone. It took two weeks to get the 33 cabinet pulls returned and I had to threaten to report them stolen before Josh even said they'd be returned. Even though it was in the contract for a granite island with under mount sink the granite was delivered and installed with a top mount. Josh tried to talk me into taking what I'd been delivered because of the cost he was going to have to eat to make it right. It took two weeks and they left me with no water in the kitchen for the whole time. Josh had not told me that the new granite top would leave the top of my dishwasher exposed and a gap above the cabinets. He was argumentative about making it right with trim. In the contract it was stated the kitchen would be sealed off from the rest of the house and never was; consequently dust from sanding went thru the whole house and made a huge clean up. Paint was pulled off my walls when they took the plastic down protecting my walls in the kitchen and wallpaper was torn. I gave him half down and refused final payment until a punch list was finished. He was argumentative about this but he showed up the next day and finished the work himself. He trimmed out the island nicely but he made the touch up on the walls worse than the original damage and we agreed to $100 off the original agreement for me to fix them myself. It was a lousy experience that created work for me.
