If there would be anybody else I can get the service with, I would go with them in a heartbeat for twice the price, they're a local company with an attitude but the help desk is excellent. Exactly a year ago, we were out for 10 days, at point in time, we needed to have a service because our daughter was here and her husband needed to communicate with her, the problem was, the cable on the ground went bad. Price is fairly high, they go down regularity and they don't seem to care of coming out to figure out why.
Description of Work: I use them for internet service.

Later that day the Internet came back up and then went down again, which it continued to do for the next several days - but no one called. Finally on Saturday the 29th at roughly noon the Internet went down and wouldn't come back up. I called the help desk again, got Kelley and gave the ticket number. To my horror I was told "Someone at the local office looked and saw it was up and closed the ticket." I explained that it had been up and down like a yoyo for several days but was now down hard. So Kelley reopened the ticket and sent it to the local office. Finally on the afternoon of July 3rd, 8 days from when the ticket was opened and after 4 days of being completely without Internet, Melvin came by and found that the cable had gone bad and put a temporary one in place, which got us back up. He had to string it on the ground and across one driveway, but said someone would come by soon to bury it. However, no one came, despite many calls on our part - especially since every time we mowed or took a vehicle to the shop we had to move the cable. On about August 26th someone came and marked the other utilities with flags and paint, so we thought something was going to happen. On the 29th we called in and were told it had been buried, but we explained that it hadn't - we were looking at it. Finally on Sept 19th, after essentially 3 months of the cable being on the ground and almost one month of having to move the flags to mow, I called and explained to the manager that I was going to remove the flags so I could mow. He asked me not to do that and said he would have a crew out there that day. True to his word, the crew came that day and buried most of the cable but said they didn't have the conduit to put it under the driveway and would be back to finish the job. The next day I was able to mow without moving flags, which was a big improvement. But, I discovered a sledgehammer they left in the grass - just before I hit it with the mower. I called and told the lady in the office that I'd found it and that the guys could have it when they came back. Two weeks later they still hadn't been back. So, I went into the office at about 11:30 to talk to the manager again, but I was told he hadn't been in yet. I explained the situation and left my number for him to call. But, he didn't call - that day nor the next. However, a crew magically showed up the following day, October 4th, and buried the last of the cable. All in all, it took over 3 months to finally get everything fixed, from June 25th to October 4th. The moral of the story is to use anyone else but Community Cablevision. But, if you have no other choice then make sure you get on a first name basis with the manager as there is no other way to get service. Having said that, their help desk is awesome - it is outsourced.
Description of Work: We've used Community Cablevision for several years because they are the only provider of internet service that we can get - other than satellite service, which won't work for us. The internet service itself is adequate, but it started failing recently. On Tuesday afternoon, June 25th, I called the help desk and talked to Rebecca since our internet had gone down. She had me unplug and replug the modem but said she couldn't see it from her end so opened ticket #62940 and passed me to 2nd level. Martin at 2nd level did more testing and said "I'm turning the ticket in to the local office and someone will call you.
