This is the first time I’ve ever hired anyone to paint (normally do it myself). Gordon’s Painting & Drywall did a great job sealing, texturing and painting over wallpaper in the kitchen and bath. Also fixed a drywall issue. Friendly, punctual and conscientious. Very pleased!

I was very pleased with the job Mike and his sons did on both the drywall repair and ceiling / wall painting of dining room, laundry room, kitchen, living room, and master bedroom. They used all five days to allow proper drying times, but they were usually done by early afternoon each day. They were very neat and clean, wore their masks, and were extremely courteous. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Looks great. He replaced and textured an area that covered two walls. Not a huge project but he worked us in. He was on time and did what he said he would. We would use him for our next big project.

It did not go well. He came out Monday to look at what he was going to do. Tuesday, he came out for three hours to do work. Wednesday, he did some more work and said he would be back Thursday morning. He did not show up Thursday and he did not call either. He told me he said he started another job and denied he said he would be back Thursday. At that point, I was ready to settle then, but he promised he would have it done by the end of this week. He came out Monday for about an hour or two. Tuesday and Wednesday, it rained so I didn't expect him out then, but he said he would be out Thursday which is today. He was here and he did more drywall work and put some sealer on some walls. Now he wants me to pay him for part of the job but that was not our original agreement. I told him that and it then got ugly and he then said he was going to draw up a contract as we had a verbal agreement. I told him I wasn't going to sign a contract in the middle of the job to include terms that he now decided on. He made lots of ugly statements and threatened to go off my property with me and fight it out. I told him I would give him $2000 for what he had done so far to call it even and he agreed with that. I wrote him a check and he accepted it and left. He called me all kinds of four letter words and even gave me the finger before he left. I would never hire him again.

Mike and his sons did an excellent job.The repairs were so well done you can’t even tell where they were.They were very fast and professional.Kept every thing neat and clean.I will definitely recommend them to everyone.

Mike Gordon provided a fair estimate and completed the interior room repairs professionally and efficiently. He is also a very courteous business person.

Great, on time & did great job

It went wonderful Mike & his Sons do an amazing job this is not the first time I have hired and sure wont be my last time they will do all my home repair jobs good pricing wonderful people on time to the job.

Mike and his team did a great job. You can tell Mike is a true expert at his trade and doesn't try to sell you more work than you need. Very honest, trustworthy and professional. They patched up and repainted our home interior and fixed drywall/tape separation in a room that had been extended on our home. By the time he was finished the drywall repair you couldn't even tell it was an extension because the wall and ceiling were completely seamless. The house looks brand new with the paint. Highly recommend

Mike and his sons did a fantastic job on my drywall repair and painting job. The quality of work was excellent. They were timely, professional, and very respectful of maintaining a clean living space during and after their work. I would definitely hire again.

Work was done on schedule and very professional. A lot of care was taken to do the job right and the outcome is very visible in a job well done. I am a perfectionist and it passes my standards.

We have used Gordon’s before and wanted them back because they do such good work. We also needed a crack in the ceiling repaired and Mike Gordon made the repair so well I could not tell where it was patched. The painting included two coats and Mike and his two sons carefully moved furniture and covered floors, taped in preparation. They were respectful of our home. We will have them back.

Received the estimate promptly. The owner and sons showed up on day one and started working. After about ONE hour they decided the wallpaper could not be removed and would need to be sealed. They left for the day and the next morning told my husband he " switched our bid" with someone elses" and would need more money. He wanted to rebid. He packed up and left. Never heard from him again. We had everything moved and cleared out for work. This was the MOST unprofessional encounter I have ever had. I would not recommend this company.

The work all went very well, and we are very pleased! Mike and his son Justin were very attentive to detail, including cleaning up each day and keeping things neat. They both obviously care about doing quality work! Mike was very good about explaining what their work plan was for each day, so we knew what to expect, and they asked to make sure we were satisfied with each day's work as it was completed. Additionally, they were both very courteous, friendly, and enjoyable to talk with! If we need this kind of work done in the future, we'll definitely seek to hire them again.

I requested a quote and he was VERY quick to respond. We scheduled a day for him to come by and quote the project (either the next day or the day after I contacted him on Angie's List). He provided the quote in a timely manner and was very professional. I let him know I chose him and we scheduled a day and time for the work to begin. He let me know about how many days they would be working on the project. They arrived on time, on the day we agreed, with equipment and materials to do the job. He and his son did great work. Their drywall repairs were excellent and the painting was very nice. There were a couple areas where we had different impressions based on our discussion but he agreed to make the job go well and honored his quoted price. They finished on the day he said they'd be done. Constructive feedback and things to ensure are clear: 1) Ensure there's written agreements about what will be done in every room with specifics. For example: mud and texture kitchen ceiling and paint with xyz paint to be provided by homeowner or contractor. Itemize each task that must be done in every room. 2) Switch and electrical plug plates to be removed or left in place. 3) They said they don't paint inside cabinets. I had some shelves that I didn't consider cabinets but he did. I asked him to go ahead and paint them and I paid him a little extra because I felt it was a gray area and he did a great job anyway. 4) Write down and agree upon who will provide the paint and what and where each different paint will be used. 5) Note if trim will be caulked after painting is done. This was my first experience with painters aside from new construction. They did a great job and I will absolutely use them again for my next drywall and painting project. I would also HIGHLY recommend them because they are professional, do great work, do what they say and are punctual.

Gordon's did a very good job of resetting the cutout sheetrock, then texturing. Faux painting was adequate, but not exceptional. There were a couple areas left darker than the rest of the wall. I later worked on those dark areas myself and greatly improved the final appearance. Contractor was always on time, friendly and delivered what was promised. Contractor made 4 trips to the job site, but each visit was very short ( approximately 5-15 minutes a visit). Price of the job seemed excessive considering the time spent doing the work. If I had another small size job like this, I would consider Gordon's if I could get a better price. Otherwise, I would probably elect to handle it myself.

You get what you pay for! The price was low but a year later I see the quality was low They are a get in, get out outfit. The spray on paint which makes the paint much less durable since it isnt a thick coar. A year latet there are large chips of paint off the corner of ehigh level eaves. We havent had hail to chip it off so I surmise it wasnt scraped properly and the spray barely covered previous paint. The last paint job on the house ladted about 10 yrs, this one will need to be done in 2-3 yrs. They hand brushed the very small porch but I had the ask them to come back and fill in the gaps left unfinished. Nice guts but they are getting a fast buck for a less than OK job. This summer Ill be touching up the spots they left I wont use them again

We are very happy with the work Mike did on our home. He told us what the house needed and how he planned to do the work. He powerwashed then repaired areas where siding needed it and caulked "everywhere." He spray painted then did the finer trim work with a brush. He had taped and papered off windows, etc. prior to painting and there wasn't a drop of paint anywhere but where it was supposed to be. He was very professional and followed through with everything he told us he would do. He was prompt and let us know when he would arrive each day. He finished the job exactly in the time he said he would. You can't go wrong hiring Mike. We're recommend him without reservation, and would definitely hire him again ourselves.

Professional work, on time, affordable

I called on a Friday. Mike was able to give me a quote over the phone but I wanted him to see it before committing. He arrived on time Tuesday, confirmed the quote and started work immediately. It was a small job but he was done by Wednesday morning and left no mess behind. Mike and his son did a great job repairing the drywall and matching the texture. After I repainted the room you can not tell there was any work done. He is very friendly and even offered up some advice on some trim I was staining for another room. Will defiantly use Gordon's again!

Took 4 days to complete. OK. Price quoted was for fixing hole up to a 4' x 8' sheet of sheet rock and painting the ceiling. Hole was approx. 24" x 24", he took a piece of the ceiling color. Bought 1 gal paint, only painted area around the patch. Did not lower the cost evev though he did not do as much work as referenced in bid. I thought he could have lowered the price some to reflect the smaller amount of work.

It went extremely well. Mike Gordon is one of the best contractors I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I was moving and he went out of his way to help me with things he didn't have to do. The quality of his work was outstanding. He was very good at helping me in deciding what things needed to be done and what didn't. I couldn't be happier with the work he did for me. My wife had a world map covering one whole wall which she wanted very much to preserve and because of his experience, he was able to remove intact the entire map without a blemish. He is an extremely good person both as a professional and a person. My only regret is that I am moving out of the area and won't have the opportunity to use him again in the future. I strongly recommend him for all your painting and drywall needs.
