We purchsed a a bedroom set and worked with the sales rep to find a bed frame that better suited us, the one that typically came with the set was not up to par with the rest of the furniture. We found one we liked but the price was a bit steep, we were steered to the dent and ding area and lo and behold there the bed frame was, but at 70% discount due to some very small chips and scratches. She gave us some good advice on patching it to make it look like new. We bought the set and the delivered and assembled it on-time and very quickly. We were able to fix the few minor flaws in the furniture and got it looking like new. The only thing I wish more companies would do is have their employees put covers over their shoes before walking on the carpet, but Furniture Direct is by far not the only company who fails to do this. Overall we are very please with what we purchased, the sales people were nice and not overly clingy when we did just wanted to look (unlike other furniture stores in the area), and the delivery and installation was pretty good.

Infuriating. Our sales rep followed us around the whole time, I'm assuming she was bored because it didn't seem very busy. We finally picked a couch we liked and went to pay. This girl tried to talk us into the warranty but we didn't buy it, she decided to give us the option to think about it and decide on the day of delivery whether we wanted to buy the warranty. My mistake for believing that would be simple enough. So fast forward to our delivery date, June 5th, 2012, our receipt says we would get a call before noon the day of to confirm the delivery time. So we wait we wait we wait, its two o'clock and nothing, no call at all. I called up there to find out what was going on. Apparently, because there was a remaining balance due to the unpaid warranty the couch would not be delivered until it was paid. It was unclear what the balance really was however because the sales girl quit, got fired, I have no clue she just didn't work there anymore. I had them take off the balance to whatever was last paid and re set a delivery date. The more I thought about it, the more upset I was. Seriously, they couldn't bother to call me to tell me there was a balance and I wouldn't get the couch. On top of all that, the manager, Robert I believe, was incredibly rude and acted like he had no clue what was going on. When I called up there a girl answered and had me on hold for half an hour, with breaks in-between to ask seemingly irrelevant questions and putting me back on hold. Then I was connected to the manager who acted like the situation was my fault and couldn't answer as to why I wasn't contacted about the due balance prior to the delivery day. Then he said they don't usually call to inform you of a due balance. After we got past the bickering, he didn't bother to offer to refund the delivery for the trouble on his behalf. Not that I asked either. I called back and got a full refund for everything.
