completely stopped!

The job went great! Robert informed me that he estimated the job would take 1-2 days but the complete roof replacement only took 1 day. They inspected my decking, replaced flashing, installed new drip edges and tar paper, and the shingles look great! After the job was completed, they ran around the perimeter with a magnet. I still have yet to find any nails! The also vacuumed my gutters and back porch overhang. They left my house cleaner than it was when they came. I have been recommending Big Sky to all of my family and friends.

They were very thorough, fixed the leak and repaired many loose shingles.

I'm late getting around to this; they did my roof at the end of Summer 2007. They did a great job on the roof; no complaints. The separate two-man crew that repaired my soffits did an adequate job; my only (small) complaints were they got some paint drips on my window and left several cigarette butts in my yard. But this was the minor job. The major job--ROOF--was great and that's really what I'm giving the grades for. I do want to say that I got some lower (and higher) estimates but I know too many people who went with the lowest bid and had nightmare roofing experiences. Big Sky was not the most expensive, but not the cheapest either. But I thought it was a fair price for a reputable company that wasn't going to give me headaches later. It's been eight months and no problems, no surprises.

He came on time to do the written estimate and was able to complete the job the next day. It took about 3 hours. He cleaned up and offered to haul away the old wood stove we had removed.

The crew showed up exactly as expected and got right after it. The weather was taking a turn and I was scared to death they wouldn't be finished before it rained but the lead roofer assured me that they'd get it taken care of before the rain was anticipated. They stayed late and finished the roof, then came back the next day for the finishing touches and clean up. This has to be the easiest major repair that I've ever had done to my home, and I've had a lot of them! Also, Robert explained to me the possibility that decking may have to be replaced and what that additional cost would be and that they wouldn't know if it needed to be replaced or not until the old roof came off. Well, I did need some replaced but I watched the roofers and they appeared to be very experienced in what they do. They didn't rip up decking just to drive up the cost, they clearly removed only what was necessary, which I greatly appreciated!

I got 3 estimates from companies either on Angie's List or on the internet. Although the Big Sky estimate was slightly lower than the other 2 and had an Angie's List discount, we were most intrigued by the self adhered ice and water shield for the valleys. Since this didn't match the other vendors, we asked that the standard metal rolled valley also be installed which they did at no additional charge. We had to wait about 2 weeks for them to start. It was a rainy day so they got a late start. I was surprised they came out and concerned, because more rain was expected. They worked only on the back on the first day removing all shingles, and completing that portion of the roof before dark. They removed almost all of the days debris. The next day early, they began on the front and completed it by nightfall. They cleaned up the area very well. So far we have found only 1 nail and and a couple of small pieces old shingle. My landscaping was not damaged in any way.

Excellent, they were easy to communicate with and very professional.

Everything went as planned/contracted.

It went badly from the start. The individual who was supposed to do the estimate showed up at the wrong time, so no one was home, and when I followed up with him he said he couldn't get up on our roof, as he didn't have time to get a long enough ladder. After many excuses, we rescheduled for the next week. This time he showed up on time and gave me an estimate. The next day two workers arrived to do the work. They showed up very late in the day The workers were here for less than an hour. I was concerned that, given the lateness of the hour, they did not complete the work. I had no way of verifying their work and the company does not warranty their work if they did not install the roof. I called to follow-up on this as I was concerned that next time it rained I would be left with another leak and no recourse. They told me that it was done and that's that. It seemed that the price they charge is very expensive for the work they did and the time it took to do!!

Though perhaps a bit expensive, they were courteous, responsive, and fixed my problems quickly. I'd recommend Big Sky.

Job 1: They came out mid morning, and worked until an hour or so after sunset. The next morning we saw a good looking new roof on the barn. Jeff showed up the following Monday, let us know that he overestimated the shingles, and we save $700. Unlike a previous contractor who roofed our house, the area around the barn was cleaned up. We were very satisfied and plan on using them again for exterior work. Job 2: We were delighted to see the finished product that the workers had done. They worked really fast, cleaned up very well and the price we received for this service was excellent. We were also impressed that they followed up with us and made sure we were satisfied.

They sent five people out to do the work on my roof and it took them about 2 days to finish. The workers were very nice and the lead man explained everything that they were doing. The clean up was excellent. They used magnets to pick up all of the nails. The roof looks great and I was very happy with the quality of the work.

It probably took them two afternoons to get it done. They did an excellent job. They went over all the blue prints with me and kept me posted on everything they were doing and made sure I was aware of any changes that needed to be made. Overall, I am very happy with their service.

Big Sky Roofing are great. I plan to have them come back to do more work inside for me. I found them to be very pleasant as well as efficient.

Big Sky Roofing even went out of their way to finish the job because the rain was coming. They worked late just to get the job done. They did a good job. The foreman seemed very knowledge and honest to me.
