Jason Casteel called and responded promptly to our request for a quote on replacing our roof and guttering. He stayed available to us throughout the process and performed the final inspection. He gave us confidence that our house was in capable hands, and remained responsive. We had a slight leak around one of the vents and called Big Sky's main office number and Raquel was impressive. Overall they did a great job and we would trust our house to them again.

We entered into a contact with this company for replacement on all our soffit, fascia, & roof trim on our house. They told us they could not start work for 2-3 weeks, which was fine with us. They brought a trailer of scaffolding out to our property & said work would start in a couple of days. My husband arranged to take time off of work to be there during the repair which was to take approx 5 days. The day before they were to start, a worker called & said that they were unable to find a place to dump old material from trailer so there would be a delay in picking up the new material for our job. Could not give a exact start date. The next day, my husband called the head contractor to see when they were going to start our job. The man got very irate with my husband & basically went off on him & said he was not going to do our job & wanted to cancel the contract. About an hour later, he called to apologize & stated that he would go ahead & do our work after all. My husband called me to relate all of this conversation. I had enough of this company by now, & called the head contrator & told him to please come get the scaffolding off of my property. I then called the company & asked for the owner. The owner did call me back & apologized for the employees actions, but frankly I did not want to deal with this company any longer & asked to have my contract voided. The owner agreed. I felt that the employee was very unprofessional. If he did not want to do the work or felt unable he should have said right upfront. Wasted a month of my time.

We have a technically challenging roof, and have problems with leaks in the past, so we were very selective about choosing a contractor. We did have to wait for some time to get an estimate because of the volume of work in the area following the storm. Robert with Big Sky identified the problem areas (before I told him where they were) and gave us reasonable solutions to address them properly. The crew started on time and finished on time. Robert then returned to inspect the roof, immediately called to line up a crew to correct them, and told me not to pay the invoice until it was done right. Overall I was very pleased and believe it was worth the wait to get the job done right.

You need a new roof? Look no further! Jason & the crews at Big Sky are the Rock Stars of roofing in the Oklahoma City metro area. Working with Jason & Big Sky was a dream! Everything we expect from a contractor & everything exactly as advertised & agreed to. None of the turmoil & "disappearing" of workers the wife & I have experienced during extensive remodeling of our home. Jason was always prompt & on time when he said he was going to arrive. Extremely helpful in all aspects of the job to include assistence with the insurance check that had to go to the mortgage company: Jason compiled & prepared for us ALL paperwork the mortgage company required. The roofing job (on a 2600 sqft home) took 2 days and the guttering took one. The roofing crews cleaned up after the first day and the house looked as though no work was going on aftter they left the first night. Clean-up after the end of the job left the site spotless. The guttering work occured while we were at work: arrived after we left for the day, were gone before we got home; again, the site had been cleaned spotlessly. Jason followed up with 2 phone calls & 1 visit back to our home across the next 6 months to re-inspect the work (he & I went on the roof for close inspection) and to make sure we were still extremely satisfied with the job: we were & still are - EXTREMELY SATISFIED!!! Again, You need a roof - look no further: just call Big Sky!!!

When our roof was damaged in the hail storm in May 2010, we were bombarded with companies wanting to replace our roof. We called several local companies to get estimates. We chose Big Sky because they were local, they had an excellent rating on Angie's List, the price was very competitive and we were most comfortable with them. The guy we worked with was very knowledgeable, not only about the roof, but several other topics that we discussed with him during our visit. The crew showed up on a Friday morning, just as my husband and I were leaving for work. They were very polite and got straight to work. My husband went home to check on them during his lunch break and they were finished! The crew cleaned up so well that the only evidence that they were even there was the beautiful new roof on our house! They even color coordinated the flashing, vents and turbines. About a week later, an inspector from Big Sky came by to check out the work, making sure that we were satisfied and that the work was done to their standards. I have and will recommend Big Sky to anyone needing a new roof!

Call for an estimate for complete roof replacement after the hail storm. Insurance adjuster said house needed a complete roof and issued a check. Big Sky came when they said they would and were honest that the roof was fine. Insurance company sent another contractor to inspect the roof and second contractor agreed with Big Sky. when attempting to settle the claim insurance company ask for a statement from the contractors and Big Sky didn't hesitate to offer a letter stating their claims. this kind of honesty in a company is wonderful and Big Sky will get any future business that I have for the house. They could have just agreed to take the insurance money and replaced the roof and they didn't.

Excellent job. Roofers worked hard, cleaned up, finished the roof in one day.

It looks great and we've had two major rain storms since they did the work, with no leaks. I have a low pitch area over the back part of the house that was added and tied into the existing roof to cover the patio area. I had problems with it leaking before. But it has not leaked since Big Sky replaced it. The workers were pleasant. A couple of minor complaints: first, workers should never park in the customer's driveway unless they are 100% sure their vehicle does not leak fluids. The owner offered to have it power washed, but had already gotten it cleaned up with oil soak before I told him about it. second, the vast majority of the time there was no one there who spoke good enough english to have a conversation with. I was able to get my point across with enough effort, but it was not easy. Clean up was good, but not excellent (maybe B+). However, overall I was very pleased with the job and the fairness of how everything was handled. I definitely recomend them.

Gentleman and I mean gentleman came and was ready to examine roof. Did not ask me personal questions like who is your insurance Co. How much is your deductible etc.,like others that had come prior to. He came to do what he was called for. Found out after having OTHER roofing company examiners out to examine roof. He gave an honest quote: and if it was even necessary to repair minor damage at this time. A guy that came from ANOTHER company told me I needed a whole new roof and I even had to ask, you are going to examine the roof aren't you. The man from BIG SKY WALKS THE TALK in other words HONEST. How refreshing to have an ETHICAL person with BIG SKY A+ for this company!!! BIG SKY WILL BE USED FOR ANY REPAIRS NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.

Excellent roofing job, but some soffit delamination resulted. Big Sky followed up with timely and thorough repair at no additional charge. Professional team. Excellent results. I would certainly recommend them to others.

We live in a historic neighborhood and needed roofing last fall. Since insurance wouldn?t cover my aged roof and this would all be out of our pocket I wanted to do everything I could to make sure this was done right and at the best price possible. I contacted around a dozen roofing companies including some of the more highly advertised and recognized names. I got the impression that some of the companies that do the biggest advertising wanted to steer away from the historic homes. Big Sky?s estimates were on the high end but not the highest; some were much lower but with sleazy undertones. The bigger companies were on the rude side and failed to return calls while others just never showed. I went with Big Sky for several reasons: Good reports from Angie?s List, their quick and courteous responses, returned calls and they always showed when they said they would. Mostly I worked with Jason who, as mentioned, always returned calls and was helpful answering my questions and concerns. We had to work between a weather window and these people really got with it. The cleanup was thorough, no surprise costs added. Afterward I had a minor leak that, as it turned out, was unrelated to the roofing work done but Robert came out and took care of that for us at no additional cost or complaint. I really couldn?t speak more highly for a company. It was our experience that they have integrity between what they say, how they say it and what they do. We are nearing the end of this weather-active winter with no roof related problems and no complaints about our roof.

It went great. They showed up to do the estimate when they said they would, calculated it here, and stuck to it. They waited until weather was right, showed up the day they said they would to start the prep work and then followed up the next day to complete the job, just as they said they would. I was very impressed.

They have been very resposive on roof repairs, worked into their schedule as quickly as possible. Have repaired any number of leaks and damaged siding. Pricing is a little higher than a handyman would charge, but quality of work is good .

Big Sky was absolutely the best contractor I have ever used. They were professional and did what they said they would in a timely manner. The workers were polite and considerate. They used a vacuum to clean up the roofing grit. My porch and sidewalks never looked better! Jason, the customer service representative, was AWESOME! He followed up on the work done, returned phone calls promptly and made sure we were completely satisfied with the work and appearance of the job. Everything was done exactly when promised. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Big Sky Roofing was one of four companies I received estimates from. I went with them because of their Angie's List reviews and their Roofing Estimator, Jason Casteel. Jason was knowledgeable and professional, and answered all my questions and concerns. The crew they sent out was professional and well-mannered. They were hard workers and did excellent work. The job took two and a half days, and the crew cleaned up as they worked, and then did a thorough cleaning at the end.

Called Big Sky--had an appt the next day. House showing scheduled later and had to move roofing inspection appt.--not a problem--still the same day. Arrived 5 minutes early. Inspected roof and reported that the roof was still in very good shape. Made positive comments about company that installed roof 12 years ago. When asked--gladly offered to e-mail summary of inspection (house for sale). Once he heard house for sale, went back up on roof and voluntarily painted ducts and vents so they would look better. Summary of my experience: 1. Integrity--( my biggie)--no high pressure/sales pitch. Jason didn't think there was enough damage to justify claim and said so--even if it meant no business. 2. Professional--in both knowledge of roofing and customer interaction--very polite and easy to talk to. Also knew of what he spoke. He was an installer--not a sales guy. 3. Prompt--made appt and kept appt. Also flexible enough for a last second switch--no gritching from front office staff. 4. Care--neighbors roof in terrible shape. Jason mentioned it not as a potential sale, but letting me know that the neighbor could have a real problem soon, if not already. 5. Willing to do the right thing--Jason easily could have gotten down from the roof, shook my hand, and left--and still would have left a positive impression. Instead, he dug around his truck, found a can of paint, and went back up on the roof to paint the ducts and chimneys--only because it needed to be done and he knew the house was for sale and wanted it to look better. I know Angies List puts more weight behind reports where work was done--for obvious reasons. However, sometimes you can tell more about a company by how they act when there is NO chance of any immediate business. I'm 100% convinced that if I needed to have a roof replaced, I would have received a fairly priced quality roof.

The man that came out was completely honest. I had recived another bid for the job and it was $1000.00 and he never came back. The gentleman from big sky roofing went on the roof fixed the place where it was leaking and caulked it. He wouldn't accept a fee and told me at most if I wanted the job perfect it would only cost $300.00. He just said "All I did was do a little caulking that took a minute and I'm not going to charge you for that. So he saved me $1000.00

They did the work in a timely manner. They responded immediately when I had a problem. The price was as same as others were.

I got Big Sky's name from Angie's List and sent an email to ask if it did turbine work as well as roofing. The next day, Rachel called and left a message on my voice mail that they did. I was stunned to get such a fast response. I called back, and then made an appointment with the estimator for roofing to come to my house to look at the turbine. He said that the noisy one was broken beyond repair and that the other 3 were all in poor condition, which I knew because of the age of the house. He gave me an estimate to replace all 4 of them. The worker who did the actual replacement showed up 2 days later and installed the new turbines and carried away the old ones. He did not leave the old ones for me to have to dispose of in residential trash. The new turbines are quiet, whirling like crazy in the Oklahoma wind, and I'm a happy camper.

They were good. I was a little concerned at first because when the crew came out to rip the old one off they worked for about 20 minutes and left. I called to see what was going on and they said that they would have someone out here the next morning. The first crew had about 4 people and the next morning there was about 15 guys out here ripping off the roof. Even though they weren't going to work on Sunday when I originally talked to them because they were a little behind, they came out to finish on Sunday. They were excellent.

I asked Big Sky for an estimate because I was very satisfied with the work they did replacing my roof the previous month or so. They were very fast and efficient. There was one item of miscommunication. We agreed that they would not paid the plastic on my windows. One window had metal and I assumed they would paint it but they said the paint would not stick. A miscue is understandable, but they did not offer to get the correct type of paint to paint the metal parts of the window. It seems to me they should have. Now I have to go find the right paint and do it myself. I don't think this is a big deal, but it is what happened.

The overall experience was great from the customer service (Rachel) to the ending. Jason came out and gave me the estimate although I had received several estimates in the past few days, Big Sky was most impressive. There was a slight communication barrier with the workers, but we got through it. I was pleased with the final results and also the final price in which I was grateful for. I can say that Jason and Rachel were most helpful in order to get me the best results that I could have ever hoped for. I would and have recommended Big Sky to my neighbors and friends. They did the work quickly. They did quality work. Their price was reasonable. They did other work. They did some guttering. They did some work on the back patio.

I promise you I had never heard of this company before deciding to sign up for Angies list. I am very happy that I did. I had become frustrated from talking to other contractors about replacing my roof. I am very picky and have high expectations from contractors working on my home. These guys took care of all my concerns. I didn't want anything falling off of the roof onto my new air conditioning units. They shipped out sheets of plywood specifically to protect anything from falling on them. I didn't have a scratch on them when they left. I had ridge vents on my roof and no turbines. I asked Robert from Big Sky about whether he thought I had sufficient ventilation. He didn't think the ridge vents were sufficient. I asked him about the turbines. I had thought before that they would not look very good. He offered to throw four of them in after he had already gave me the quote. I am glad I did and they look great. Their price was very competetive. They gave me a better warranty (5 yr) on their workmanship than others close to their price was willing to give. They did a great job on the roof and did a great job on clean up on the ground. Thanks Big Sky.

They are great and they did a good job. We are very pleased with them. We noticed that they didn't put the gutter back correctly, so we told them about it. They came back and fixed it.
