After telling Alex were I lived he said I was out of his service area. When you look at the map were he services I was only about block or two outside his service area. Nothing like being black and white.

The crew was on time and worked to complete the job in 3 days.  Looks very nice.  Accomplished the task that was to keep water draining away from the house and out to the street.  The concrete pad around a corner of the shed looks great.  Just the right amount for the step to enter and wide enough for a potting table.  They were are pleased with all of the concrete work and would use them again in the future if want more work done!

First of all Alex answers his phone, which was a bonus! He came out on the date and time he said he would, even called ahead to remind me he was coming out to give me a free estimate. He gave me a written estimate on the back of a business card as opposed to an actual piece of paper, which made me a little leery, but I chose to go with him anyway. He wasn't the cheapest of the three estimates I got ($1900), but he wasn't the most expensive either (other two estimates were $1500 and $2300). As soon as I gave him the green light to start work, he ordered the permit and his crew showed up on time to start the work. It took three days, just like he said it would and the guys cleaned up afterward. I'm thankful to Alex for his professionalism and and his crew for doing a great job! I'm definitely using him again for some of my rehab projects!

Alex was excellent. He quoted me several levels for the job we ultimately did and wasn't upset that we chose the smallest option. The day the work was to be done the gentleman in his crew came out, measured everything, discussed what was to be done and then checked periodically to make sure it was to my satisfaction. 
The cleanup was great and very professional as well. Would certainly use them again.

Excellent job.  Showed up on time. Crew was polite and hard working.  When I had a problem with the corners crumbling during the following days while drying the contractor returned without complaint and fixed the problem.  It's been several months and the job has held up.  I would recommend these guys any day and would use them again.  Their price was also competitive considering that some contractors would not consider such a small job in a remote corner of the backyard (the concrete had to be brought in by wheel barrow).  Good job guys!

Everything went well. Alex was punctual and very professional. He did what he said he would when he said he would. When there was a problem he called immediately gave me the solutions and fulfilled every promise. He is very easy to work with for home projects. I would highly recommend him.

After being blown off by three companies I found Alex's Construction on Angie's List.  I called and Alex made an appointment, kept the appointment and gave me a price.  I wrote a check for half and his company did the work. They completed the job today.  It looks good.  Now I have a safe place to keep my husband's trailer.

Alex responded quickly to my request for an estimate.  He spent time going over the design for the new driveway and the color options for the stamped concrete.  He measured the area and he provided me with an estimate for the work before he left my house.  His estimate was the most competitive of any of the bids I received for this work.  Alex indicated he needed to obtain the permits from the city and then he would be able to schedule the actual work.  He obtained the required permits and scheduled the city inspector to review the work.  Alex and his crew arrived promptly on the day work was supposed to begin.  Alex confirmed the spray painted outline of the circular driveway with me before starting the project.  Part of my existing driveway was badly cracked because the dirt underneath had been washed out.  I decided to replace three sections of it because it would look worse right next to the new circular driveway.  Alex was able to measure and provide me with a very reasonable estimate on the spot and I moved forward with that work as well.  Alex and his crew completed the work over the next several days.  He confirmed the color choice for the faux brick border with me that best matched my house.  He added a PVC pipe underneath the circular driveway and the main driveway in case I wanted to run electrical to a fountain or yard lighting.  In addition, he increased the depth of the border of the concrete for the main driveway to avoid water running underneath and causing the same problem with the dirt subsiding.  Alex's proactive suggestions made the final product that much better.  Alex was onsite supervising and working with his crew much more than I expected - in particular he worked directly on the faux brick to get the coloring and design right.  He responded promptly to texts if I had any questions about the progress, drying time, etc.  Overall it was a very good experience.  Alex is very professional, hands-on, creative and delivers a high quality product at a very reasonable price.  I would hire him again.

I got Alex's name from Angies's list for a rental property that needed additional parking. We're from out of town so we appreciated the puntuality and professionalism. He was careful and neat, not always the case with concrete guys. The lot is pretty steep and required leveling and a curb, all done well.

Alex and his crew did a good job.  Alex was pretty responsive and his crew was very punctual.  The removed the old driveway in one day and pour concrete the following afternoon.  They made minimal mess and cleaned up well.  There is one or two slightly low spots in the new driveway where water pools but they are very small and minor.  They did a great job sloping the sidewalk and adding extra concrete on the edges to prevent washout.  They also added extra control joints to control cracking.  They could have done a better job meeting the new concrete against the expansion joints but it was a minor fix that I was planning to take care of anyway.  The only complaint I really have is I have several spots in my yard now where they positioned a wheel barrel full of water to wash wet concrete off tools.  That water overflowed and now I have hard spots in the grass where some of the residual concrete setup in the soil.  Overall, I feel like Alex and his crew did a very good job and I would hire them again.

From the first call I placed to Alex after selecting his company from Angie's List, he was always very responsive and professional.  He came out the same day and provided a verbal estimate with two options-replace the entire driveway or resurface the driveway.  After we decided to replace the driveway, he quickly provided a very detailed written project estimate.  We decided to begin the project on 8/20/14.  His crew arrived first thing on 8/20 and started the demolition process. Alex was onsite to supervise the demolition and the replacement of our driveway.  His workers were always very conscientious about keeping the work site clean and free of hazards.  We were kept informed throughout the entire process.  The project was completed on time and we are very pleased with the final product.  I would highly recommend Alex to anyone who is looking for a quality product at a reasonable price.
