We have a lot of vehicles we use in our business and also have several personal autos. We have always used these guys. They do a good job and are recommended.

Called for an appointment but was told to come right in. They were busy but the work was completed and we were
out the door in 25 minutes.

Stopped in as cat converter had broken loose. Mercedes repair insisted only way to repair was to replace the entire pipe for $875.
These guys took care of it for $65. Couldn't ask for better service and work.

I'd recently bought a used car, which made a HORRIBLE noise when the car warmed up and you hit the gas. I'd taken the car to an independent mechanic who didn't hear it, then to an oil change place who didn't know what it was, then the dealer kept it almost four weeks (!!) trying to figure it out, before I literally was ready to sell the car. I didn't know if it was safe to drive around, not to mention the embarrassment when everyone on the street looks at your car while it makes noises akin to dragging a metal trash can down the road behind you.

OK, so I called the shop and someone answered and said no appointment necessary - just bring the car in as early as possible any day.

I showed up at 9am the next morning and was served immediately. I could tell I liked the shop and employees right away because they had me drive the car around back for them to look at, and rather than asking me "at the front desk" what was wrong and then writing something down to tell the mechanics in the back -- they literally had me stand right by the car and talk directly to the guys working on the vehicle.

They ended up immediately noticing some minor problems with the muffler system, and welded here and there and cut out a section here and there to make it match factory specs. I was welcomed to stand right there by the car while they worked, or sit in the small waiting area. Note: this is not a fancy shop! But, who cares?! You want a fixed car, not a leather couch to sit on for hours...

So, about 20 minutes later, they charged me $30 and sent me on my way. Immediately, I could tell the problem had been fixed. However, a few blocks away a slightly different noise presented itself. I turned around and drove back and they again worked on the car right away. Within minutes another weld was made and I was sent on my way with the assurance that if I needed anything else to just come back their way.

I have been driving the car almost two weeks now, with not a single noise! The dealer suggested replacing the entire rear axle and suspension to get rid of the noise -- I'm so glad I called their bluff and went to Performance Muffler. Doug and Zane (Dane?) were both good, old-fashioned "get it done" kind of people that are rare.

I will certainly take all of my muffler and welding needs back here as they arise in the future.
