I took a vehicle on a Thursday in to get the AC serviced after I had drained and CAPPED OFF the lines. The ENTIRE AC system (including the lines) was new and had just been replaced last summer. He said there was a blockage in the lines and it wouldn't take freon so it would probably run about 285.00 (originally quoted 85.00 to be serviced). We called Friday near closing time and was told it hadn't made it back in the shop yet. So, we get a call Monday morning at 9:30 saying its ready. Let me put the math together. They weren't able to service it Thursday, it didn't get touched Friday (Closed Saturday and Sunday) and they had it done an hour and a half after opening on Monday. It takes 30 minutes to an hour to vacuum and service an AC system that has been completely drained. Giving the benefit of the doubt (30 minutes to service it), we just got charged $200.00 for an hour of labor. I'll let you be the judge. By the way, I have been an aircraft mechanic and a flight engineer for over 20 years. My son and I had just put a new motor in the truck and if I had the equipment I would have serviced it myself... Just in case there was any doubt about my technical abilities or knowledge.

Very Well.  Shane is very good with an estimate in advance.  I have taken the same vehicle to him on repeated occasions and now have a good rapport with him so much that I recently needed to purchase a used vehicle for my 17 year-old son and purchased the vehicle with Shane's help.
