We researched Angie's list to identify a contractor to assess our garage door. We scheduled a technician to visit with us approximately 22 Feb. The project scope consisted on replacing/repairing bottom trim on single door, and exploring options to replace double door. Donnie was able to repair the trim on the single door. Additionally, he stated there was a special on non-insulated double doors. I visited Trotter 20 Feb purchasing a double door for $617 to include tracks, and nylon rollers. The installation occurred 26 Feb. We were very pleased with our experience beginning with Donnie, Store rep (unable to recall name), and installers (Dee and company). I watched Dee and his colleague perform the removal of the old door, and installing the new one working as a team. They carefully paid attention to the requirements to install the garage door, and were personable taking time to answer my questions. We will look to employ Trotter Garage & Home again.
Product does not work to my satisfaction. It will not program with the universal remotes in our vehicles. I called Trotter and they want me to contact my individual auto dealers. I think it is poor customer service to have to get a third party involved on their product. I wish I had my old openers back - we programed them without any issues and they worked for years. Actually, I wish I would of contacted an installer with better customer service.
