most details given above. Called out for 2 problems in two of my home. Replaced the heat pump in small (son)s home, but couln't get it to heat right and required another (Airserv) to try to fix his errors. Called also to heat pump at large home (same address) to check west heat pump, *I have 2, never looked at west pump, instead supposedly checking for leak in east unit and filling with freon or whatever they use. this leaked out over the next few days and called again, this time he reports a large leak in copper, which was pointed out to me at that time very easily. Refused to credit his $224 dollars he charged to replace heat pump for new unit, which would have been a multi thousand dollar affair. He is not honest.

I started having problems immediately with high humidity in the house and bought 2 dehumidifiers not knowing what was wrong with this new unit because I had never called about humidity problems with any other unit before. Being near the end of the season I didn't get to evaluate the problem for very long. In 2011, was having the same problem of humidity anywhere from 53-65% while the unit was running for either very short periods of time and not cooling the house or 14+ hours while the humidity increased. The lower I turned the thermostat the worse the humidity got. The house was cold and clammy. I called Ed and told him of the problem. He said he would come out and replace the unit. I was at a conference the day he came out and he "did not" replace the unit but installed 2 filter driers. When I called him and asked why he didn't replace the unit like he said he would, he stated the filter driers should fix it. Well, I continued to have humidity problems after the filter driers were installed along with the unit running 14-16 hours and manually having to shut it off. Kept running my dehumidifiers and paying the a lot in electrical costs. In 2012, same problem. No response. In 2013, made telephone calls to Ed and he didn't return any of them. I drove to his place of business and spoke to him about the humidity problems only to be told that I must be very sensitive to humidity and there was nothing wrong with the unit. I could see he had washed his hands of a problem that he had no intentions of correcting, while I had been out $2000 for a faulty unit or poor installation. It's now 2014 and I am having the same problem. Temperature out of the registers is 60 degrees and humidity is 56% or worse. The majority of the time the humidity in the house is well above what the humidity is outside. The unit had a 2 year parts warranty and 5 year compressor warranty which I've lost out to the parts warranty already. Since he was the installer of the unit, I felt he should have made things right, but he choose to take my money and leave me with a useless system.

Don't hesitate to call Deco, we've used another company, Deco was cheaper and did not do any unnecessary work. Ed is very easy to work with and knowlegable about all the options. We highly recommend them.

He was thousands of dollars cheaper than the next closest bid. My new heat & ac has been istalled for a year now, and has been working great. Can't say enough good things about Ed. I have recommended him to all who ask.
