On time, set the test up, explained to me what would happen, came back 48 hours later and pick up the test results.

David Shevel is probably the best, nicest, most qualified and professional home inspector we have ever met!  He arrived before us on the day of the inspection and had already begun his work.  He thoroughly covered all areas of the home, from roof top to basement to all crawl spaces.  Nothing was missed.  He explained things to us while he worked and he encouraged us to ask as many questions as  we wanted.  When making a home purchase, you really want to feel comfortable that you have covered all bases, no matter the cost!  He even employs the use of thermal imagery to detect things that you cannot see with the naked eye, like the water damage from some roofing leaks that he identified in this home, that we never would have been aware of otherwise!  We feel that no home inspection would uncover these things without the use of an infrared camera!  Very important!
In the end, we were provided with a very impressive and detailed report complete with pictures and analysis of all areas of the home.  He sent the report via email the very same day in a pdf file, which is so very useful because you can blow up the pictures to take a closer look at things, particularly items that are in need of maintenance or fixing.  He followed this up with a hard copy which he hand delivered in person the day the radon test was complete.  Even days later, he happily took our calls over the weekend and answered some additional questions we had after reviewing his report.  He could have easily let the calls go to voicemail, but David is not that kind of guy!
We HIGHLY recommend that you hire Boardman Home Inspection and David Shevel for your home inspection needs!  Like us, you will be so glad you did!  Simply the best!

Wow, what a quick turnaround by Mr. Shevel!!  The WDI inspection was to be scheduled by the seller of our future home about 2 weeks prior.  After I received my mortgage application documents to sign and send back to my lender (I had 2 days to do this), I was told that our application could not move forward until a copy of the WDI report was included.  The inspection hadn't been scheduled yet.  Yikes.  The very next morning, I called Mr. Shevel to schedule an appointment - he came out, inspected and emailed me the report all within a couple of hours turnaround the same day!  I have previously written another review of Mr. Shevel posted on here regarding our general home inspection and radon test.  Once again, I would highly recommend David Shevel for your home inspections!

David Shevel did an outstanding inspection of our potential future home!  He arrived about 30 minutes early and was already up on the roof.  I was not present for the inspection, but my husband was, and he was very pleased and impressed with the time David took to explain every inch of the house, and was there for almost 4 hours.  He even wore shoe covers to protect the carpeting. The inspection report was in my email inbox 4 hours later.  The report was 25 pages long and very well written, with pictures and excellent explanations of all issues, including a summary at the end of the report.  I am expecting the hard bound copy in my regular mail shortly.
Although David is the most expensive in the area, I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for, and he was worth every penny.  David does thermal imaging also, but did not feel the need to use it in our case.  I would highly recommend him.

Mr. Shevel was professional from start to finish. He did a very full inspection and showed us all the repairs/issues. They provided a report the same day as well as a bound copy via UPS mail.

Dave was there before us. He walked us through the entire house. Took 2 hours and he inspected everything completely from the roof to basement. We were very impressed with his professionalism & knowledgeable.

We found David on Angie's list and hired him because he is one of the few Inspectors using thermal imaging.  He was easy to contact and schedule an appointment.  He was actually much more willing to come from Ohio to Butler than the other inspectors that do thermal imaging in the Pittsburgh area.
The price we paid was for inspection, pest, and radon testing.
David arrived early, spoke to the current homeowners to get a bit of background on the house, and we found him coming down off the roof when we arrived.  David is very friendly and explained everything he was doing every step of the way.  While we looked over the home, he gave a lot of good advice.  He did find one water problem and a few minor repair issues.  He also let us know what looked good about the house.
The house we were looking at had a recently finished basement, and I had concerns about the moisture problems.  It was worth every penny to get David to explain and perform the thermal imaging.  It gives us some real piece of mind that there is currently no moisture behind the walls.
The report David prepared was thorough, full of annotated photos for each section, and we had a soft copy of it in our email that evening.
My biggest concern about buying our first house was finding a good home inspector.  David was the right choice and I will use and recommend him to others in the future.

I made an offer on a home and chose this company to do the inspection by doing my own research.  I had to reschedule my original appointment due to a change in my work schedule and was able to reschedule without a problem.  The inspection was very informative and David was very thorough in his inspection and answered any questions we had for him.  Towards the end of the inspection I decided to have a radon test conducted.  He set up the testing device up before we left the home and we returned two days later to get the results, which we found the home had higher then average levels.  I was pleased to receive an emailed copy of the inspection the same day the house was inspected.  I received a nice copy in person on the day we got the results of the radon test. Overall, I am very glad I chose David at Boardman Home Inspection to conduct my home inspection!  I would recommend this company to anybody that may need his services and I will use this company on my next home purchase.

We used Boardman Home Inspection when we moved to the area 4 years ago and were very impressed with his complete inspection, professional manner, and the time he spent with us. We are now moving about an hour away and decided to ask him to travel to the new house for an inspection. He was there 30 minutes early, spent well over 4 hours with me going through every part of the house, explaining how different systems worked and what he would do if it were his house. He emailed the report that night and hand delivered the hard copy to our house the next day. In total, BHI is worth every cent. He is giving you more than an inspection, he's giving you a practical introduction to how your future house works. If we ever move again, we'd call him up in a heartbeat.
