I called them in the spring and they recommended that I wait until late fall/winter because of a pest which gets in the open wounds of oak trees and kills them. They called in November and scheduled the work. They had to postpone the work for a couple of days because of an unexpected work situation. They communicated through every phase of the process. Before them. I had another company which came out to do the work but the workers said they could not work over the utility wires. And they were actually higher priced than Kevin Masters. I am more than pleased with Kevin Masters Arborist Services. They not only are first-class professionals and skilled in working on trees, they also have great knowledge about trees and how to protect and nurture them.

Very happy with service. Crew was professional and did a great job cleaning up. Despite dropping a 70 tree and trimming a couple trees of equal height, no damage was done to property.

The arborist clearly communicated the problem and solution for the oak tree. The work for both trees was completed promptly. They also looked at other trees in the yard and provided feedback and care tips.

Kevin Masters Arborist Service has been taking excellent care of the trees and shrubs in my yard for the last three years. The most recent work was for fertilization around several groups of trees that were not looking their best. I also highly recommend them for pruning; they have done an excellent job of removing dead sections while still shaping the trees to look natural. They also provided a hidden support system for some trees and shrubs that were prone to collapse under snowfall, and have treated other trees for mites. All of the work was truly excellent and highly professional. I highly recommend the company; sometimes their prices are slightly higher than other quotes, but their work has been worth the difference!

They do not provide free estimates for all services, but evidently for some. They charge a $75 "consultation fee" to come out and assess disease damage on a tree. I'm sorry, but I've never hired this company before and appreciate getting to know my vendors via a free estimate before hiring. BTW - you only get $50 applied toward the service if you hire them. They keep, at minimum, $25 of that $75 fee. In my mind a trip to meet a client and provide an estimate on the work is part of the cost of doing business.

We offer free estimates for straightforward services such as pruning, removal, fertilization, cabling, etc. However, in the instance when a client has a health issue with a tree that requires expert knowledge in both identification and management of disease or risk issues, we do apply a consultation fee for a detailed diagnosis of the tree(s). We feel that $75 with a $50 credit back to the client for work ordered is fair, to have an arborist with years of experience to come meet with a client and assess problems that less experienced tree workers in the green industry may not be able to properly address. The team was punctual and professional. Kevin offered a discount for ordering services in the winter months. They did a great job, and cleaned up all of the branches and debris. A loose branch had fallen into a neighbor's yard and dinged their garage siding. The general manager - very nice - asked for their contact information so they could repair the garage and remove the branch. Very professional operation. Worth every penny.

Provided a timely estimate that we were happy with and they performed the work shortly after agreeing to the details of the work order. I was not home while the work was being done, but when I returned home that evening my expectations were definitely met. The trees looked great and they did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. Excellent work and I would highly recommend them.
