I went into the hardware store to purchase a snake to attempt to unclog the drain myself.  Their plumber, Matt was there at the time and he gave me pointers on what to do and told me to call if I couldn't get it.  I did my best but was unable to get anywhere.  I called Tignor's and he was able to come out later that day to unclog my drain.  While he was there I asked about another drain and he fixed that one as well.  Matt was very courteous and kind and got the job done! 
If I need a plumber again, I will be calling Tignor's~

The project, which got a lot more complicated once the carpet was pulled up, was completed in a little less than four hours. The extra time increased the price, but it was well within reason given the amount of work required. Jim Retzler did a nice job.

Tignor's no longer does electrical work. They refer homeowners to McClintock Electric.

The woman who answered warned me that the plumber I wanted was very busy. I asked to be put on his list, as I really needed some work done. It's been months, and I am still waiting for his call !! I would think they'd follow-up and maybe suggest their other plumber.

Customer service needs some work.

They come when you call, clean up the area and leave the area very clean. They are the only ones we call due to their great service.

The old water heater was poorly installed up against a wall so you couldn't even get to the release valve. John took the time to install the new one so it would be easier to access. He also realized that the gas valve to the water heater was faulty and replace that as well. He explained everything he was going to do, and then walked me through the operation of the new water heater when he was finished. He cleaned up the area when he was done. No mess at all. I was impressed.

I called Tignor's at the end of the previous week requesting that he call me. He called early in the week to set a date, called on the day to confirm the time, and arrived exactly on schedule. He was quick, efficient, and completely professional. The whole process took under two hours.

Everything went well. I plan on using Howntown Hardware the next time I plan on doing some plumming work around the house.

They sent out a tech and he could not do the job then wanted me to pay a travel fee which was never told in advance.
