Amy's flower arrangements were beautiful, as were the bridal boquet, the bridesmaids and mothers' boquets and the boutonnieres...The colors were exactly what we had envisioned. There were also many more flowers than I expected. I took all of the arrangements home after the wedding and they lasted for at least 2 weeks, and we so enjoyed having them all around the house. Also, the cascade of fresh flowers on the cake was fantastic !
Description of Work: Amy provided all of the flowers for daughter's wedding.

Amy provided flowers for my daughter's wedding. I expected that the flowers would be alive by the end of the forty five minute ceremony, but they weren't. She only made three bouquets for four brides maids. My corsage fell apart about five minutes after I put it on. We specifically asked for blue hydrangeas and she painted the hydrangeas blue, rather than using natural blue hydrangeas. The paint got all over the brides maids hands and dresses. She charged me an arm and a leg. We had the wedding on a long weekend and the following Monday I called her to discuss my disappointment with her service. I told her that I was very disappointed with what she had done and I felt that I should be refunded some of my money. She called me back forty minutes later and told me that she had talked to her husband and I was not going to get a refund end of story. The quality of her work was very inconsistent. There were some flower balls that were just lovely, but the bouquets and the corsages were just awful. She took absolutely no responsibility for her work. I would never use her again.

Amy was an absolute pleasure to work with! She truly valued my ideas and worked with them in order to create perfect wedding arrangements. She listened to what I wanted and created unique pieces. She was available by e-mail and phone regularly. She arrived early to the church and helped all parties involved perfectly place their flowers. She went to the reception hall soon thereafter and completed the centerpieces so that they were very fresh when my guests arrived. I received many compliments and could not have been happier with Amy's services. I would definitely recommend, and I have, her work to family and friends!
Description of Work: Amy completed my wedding bouquet, my bridesmaids' bouquets, my husband's boutonni re, his groomsmen's boutonni res, corsages for my mother, mother-in-law, and husband's grandmother. She did all church pew bows along with matching greenery, an altar arrangement, and all of the centerpieces at the reception (I had 350 people). She provided roses for the cake and made an arrangement for the Blessed Mother.

We heard about Amy Ridgeway from a mutual acquaintance, and met her to discuss her doing the flowers for our daughter Emma's wedding. After an initial positive experience, we had a series of disappointments as follows: We were disappointed by the following: Our inability to contact Amy Ridgeway at a crucial time before the wedding. Her the failure to return our phone calls. Her inability to deliver Texas bluebonnets and your inability to deal with the problem. She lacked any sort of resourcefulness. There was a missing bridesmaid bouquet at the wedding itself. The dying hydrangeas that did not last the evening. The spray-painted hydrangeas, whose blue paint came off on the bridesmaids? hands, rather than the naturally blue hydrangeas we requested. The early death of some of the flowers in the boutonnieres and corsages. The mother of the bride's corsage, as well as some of the boutonnieres, coming to pieces within 30 seconds of them being received. The unprofessional construction of the bride's bouquet, where the handle was cheaply and poorly done. This became obvious during the reception. Furthermore we wondered about the value of the services we received and asked her to please send us a detailed accounting of her expenses. We have had no response to this request or to a polite letter, over a month after sending it by certified mail.

The family was mailed a certified letter back to them within one week explaining and responding to each of their questions/concerns. This letter was not claimed by the family after the post office made two attempts. It is very difficult to deal with this family because they are very one-sided. I have only done weddings in the past for family and friends and have had nothing but positive feedback. I have learned my lessons from this situation though. I did make some mistakes, but I don't deserve to be treated the way they have acted towards me. Overall, I thought their daughter had a beautiful wedding and I wish them the best of luck.
